One of my primary school classmates attended King’s College. I myself was admitted to St. Paul’s College through the Secondary School Entrance Examination in the early sixties. I was born in the hospital located at Western and Third in the late forties. I spent some happy time in the park by Eastern St. in the fifties. I came over to the USA in the late sixties. My children, my wife and I are making plans to visit HKG again next March. I will visit this neighborhood again then.
Before I attended St. Paul’s College, I went to Ming Ying School on Third St. The primary school ceased to exist one year after my graduation. I spotted the school principal, Mrs. Seto , on the bus on Bonham Road in 1973 when I went back there for the summer. I should have greeted her and offer her my seat at the back of the bus. I do not have the chance to do it anymore.
This is the place where I was born and grew up, thanks so much 🥰
good to hear that from you
Most places in HKG have changed beyond recognition since the late sixties when I moved to the USA.
