I have known the lead guitarist Riley Rose since he was about 9 years old and the events in the video of him trying to hang himself are absolutely true and did happen. The branch snapped saving his life. He and his bandmates are just truly good people as well as being very talented. Would love to hear your reaction because I know you both like metal.

I think this song is about LA and Hollywood. You should try BYOB or Sugar for a more high energy song. Try Prison Song if you want an intense song. The lyrics and vocals are insane. In rock and metal the music is usually more important but for SOAD the lyrics are more important as they are very politically and emotionally driven. Their lyrics are almost punk with metal edge to their music.
