    Quality& Quantity trump either quality or quantity alone.
    I personally know 6 WR holders---they all swear by volume--w high quality simultaneously employed.
    But,as you quite correctly state , it varies " depending on the context or each athlete.
    I use volume as my strength basis for my speed.Works phenomenally well for me.
    You have a ton of great workout ideas that we all should consider adding to our training programs.
    Keep up the great work JP!

    I was expecting more dynamic/advanced drills. This seems to be made for absolute beginner athletes. I would like to see more videos that incorporate advanced training tactics. In this case, plyometric drills that include redirecting the body’s center of mass. Another way to put it would be locomotion-centered drills vs. stability-centered drills. I’m not sure if there are technical words for it. Either way, your content is always useful and insightful. Keep up the good work!!

    I just recently watched the first breaking 2 & one of the scientist said, "Eliud is the most efficient runner I have ever seen." Then I watched your video on Eliud's form & he seem to bounce the least. Everything was geared into moving forward. His form barely breaks.

      Well-----if you run super high quality track & XC races for 16 years w all the HUGE training to support that---obviously your going to adapt physiologically to maximum efficiency-not just mechanically but , more importantly @ the cellular level.
      I'm a concert pianistI-I've played 63,500 hours.
      You can bet I'm super efficient.

    Great video! Are plyometrics beneficial for distance runners as much as they are for sprinters?

    • @JPGloria
      @JPGloria  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question! They are great for all distances, but sprinters do get more of a benefit out of it than distance runners
