8:02 they use back this knob control is because it will be easy to do quick setting on radio or air cond when the car is on the move, else driver need to move his eyesight to do setting if it is touchscreen.

Sy beli almera 2014 sebab budjet dan selesa dari vios dan city masa tu.. Design sy ok je almeradugong ni.. Now masih ok takde isu bab quality memang jauh beza quality kereta proton persona sy guna dulu.. Minyak masih jimat, engine senyap after 7 thn guna almera ni. . Japan car memang bab quality memang terbaik.. Spare part pun senang cari.. 👍

Aesthetic wise, the current vios with that horizontal lines reminiscing of Lexus is top notch, agree that the pre facelift is a complete mess.
I agree with you on the City as well, its just too bulbous at the front for my liking and it conveys repurposed design language, it looks like the accord before it and it just felt like nothing to be excited about.
As for the Almera, hands down, proper beauty right there, the cohesive lines and the language they choose for it is beautiful.
Overall agree on the rating for the exterior, i cant bring myself to like the front of the city, hati x senang tgk, too much chrome almost feel like a generic flex with all the chrome.

Hi Sir, i found your review to be very very helpful bcos these were the 4 cars i shortlisted if i wanted to buy one...Initially i have to search thru 1 by 1 for preview but later luckily happened to see ur review...Very clearly said about X50 as that was the 1st on my list ...Looks of Almera is stylish as u said but i feel something is missing...Not a lover of Toyota's from those days...So left one, as well i might go with Honda City but the RS version which has everything we want in this B segment... Pls continue with your great work even in A, C, and D segments which might help other in-decisive people like me...And i liked what u said "Buying a car is an Emotional decision and NOT a Practical decision" Best wishes, Sir...😊😊😊

Rakyat Msia mmg terpikal..kalau boleh nak harga berpatutan..kalau murah sangat bimbang tak dee kualiti, kalau mahal sangat kena kecam pulak..nak harga mampu milik tetapi segala spec kalau boleh semua nak ada..ala² mewah gitu..nak cari kesempurnaan dlm kereta mmg payah sebab pengilang sendiri akan ada plus dn minus dlm setiap kluaran kereta mereka..pada saya review ini adalh yang terbaik, jujur dan ikhlas bagi kita utk buat timbang tara mana yng lebih sesuai utk cara pemanduan kita dan kegunaan seharian. One suggestion to make the video shorter and concise, perhaps you dont need to repeat the same point twice (points were addressed in malay then translated into english). You may continue using dual languages but for different points through out the video.

Almera . Betul kereta semua dlam 2020 neh sudah dibaik pulih . Wlaupun org kata vios baik la tahan lama la but semua toe hanya dari penggunaan harian kita . Semua kereta tahan dari segi penggunaan harian . Tak pena juga dngar almera engine tak bole nak go la, ada msalah ke ape . But aku pilih almera 100% terbaik bagi saya . Jimat minyak, roadtax murah, power pun ada torque tinggi disebabkn ada turbo .

I have tried the Vios and Almera.
The Vios overall ok....Engine not too powerful but standard, and steering will feel understeered. Means u need to turn steering extra to the point u want. Just the design especially the hand rest is really awkward. My elbow not even able to place on it, and is taken lot of rear seat space. I’m a family man and the rear seat is too small for my kids. And also very annoying blind spot monitor sound. I would say this car wins in maintenance only.
The Almera has lots of “wow” factor. Handsome looking and doesn’t look like a traditional Japanese car. Looks more like a euro car. The power is exhilarating, steering is really on point, very quiet, spacious at the rear seat and packed with safety features. One thing for certain, it doesn’t sound or look like a B segment car at all. Definitely very close to C segment.
For X50, has lot of “wow” factor too. Most complete car in the market and have the strongest power for sure. Just that I’m not a fan of SUV.
For City, I didn’t even take the effort to try. Yes it’s the most spacious B segment (partly due to the car seat is much thinner than others), and also the design inside and outside...well doesn’t make me want to spend on them. It’s just not nice. Very stingy on the safety and the pedometer...Haiyaaa. I have loved the previous City as it was ahead of others but now...going backwards? Well It’s just my two cents...my own opinion. I’m sure many will still like it.
