I hope I'm not a heathen for even thinking this, but I wonder if anyone ever tried to make a 3d scan of a stone and make a perfectly fitting socket with a cnc wood router by taking the negative shape of the 3d scan of the stone (using techniques like this: th-cam.com/video/yf4MT2CK3WY/w-d-xo.html ).
