i don't know much about genshin, but isn't it based around Chinese culture and not Japanese? Edit: of course, you may not be implying that Raiden in Genshin is specifically from Japanese culture, but you're just making a parallel with this video and the fun fact that Raiden is a japenese goddess of lightning that drummed. i'm complicating things
@a.starribunni It takes a certain skill of musician to be able to accurately predict how the beat is supposed to play out and you can do it easily after a few years of practice The thing is, genshin's music is just so out of this world and so new and so non standard that you just cant tell like what the heck? In terms of beat, Raiden's trailer takes so many unconventional twists and turns that I am very amazed that the guy was even able to predict it and improvise accordingly. The beat in the drop is not easy either like holy hell he got it in a few seconds

Even just playing improvised parts will, over time, train your short-term memory, and help you pick up on and retain the patterns or general rhythms that you hear. Jerod is able to do it to a great extent, and it's very respectable

not really, raiden (雷電) actually means lightning, and also inazuma is written as 稲妻 in kanji and not in katakana
