Let's be honest BLG was better than Gen G, even with the 2 games they have lost they seemed very solid. Good effort from Gen G but the victory was well deserved by BLG.
Not banning Jarvan ever is just completely disrespectful and frankly thickheaded. Xun carried the hell out ofthose games and still they decided that he's not a threat. Its like they didn't play in the same game.
Agreed, at least try to see how it goes (probably G3), but overall, I think the admittance there is that there's quite a huge top and bot gap. Which is more than fair, both Bin and Elk proved they can solocarry games, and will if let be. Not like you have unlimited bans, so suppressing both of those, minimizing mistakes and trying to survive early vs J4 is the better option. Pretty good sign you're playing against a better team.
Ya it started to look ridiculous how they drafted a team with absolutely no follow up. If GG had orianna or rumble or neeko they could have gotten huge wombo combos off on all those magnet fields - but it didn't get anything done when delight hit 3-4 people with no big ults to capitalize. Really looked like a avoidable oversight.

Damn, I can really see how much they studied Gen G playstyle and how to counter it. All games that they won were very clean and well coordinated. Love it, a great show they made
Gen.G did well to bring it to a Game 5, but their drafting was quite poor overall, I felt, and I'm very disappointed in Chovy. I expect players like Doran to underperform, but this was the moment that Chovy needed to prove his caliber and carry his team to victory and he came up wanting. Maybe I'm tripping, but in that last big fight in the jungle, he's standing right next to Yagao's Orianna, completely ignores him and then Yagao gets off a massive Shockwave to turn the fight. Then he gets caught by Senna defending a lost tower, allowing BLG to push to victory. I know I'm being harsh on him, but it just seems like he crumbles in the highest pressure situations, and because of that, he may continue to go down in history as the best player without a world title.
What happened to Score's Drafting??? Is it just T1 that they can beat all the time. Even WBG would roll them over if they play like this every internationals. Was just watching him every teamfight and heartbreaking watching him barely miss the skillshots and then team loses teamfight. Rough game for GEN. I'm just pointing out I could see the effect of those missed skillshots was game ending because there wasnt any second chances after that in the tf's.

My opinion: given the previous games, they should have taken either Rumble, Aatrox, Rene or Jax for Doran(TOP). Gnar is ok in lane or as a counter pick, but is super situational in teamfights. Plus Doran performed so well on Aatrox. They also allowed Rumble+Ori+J4 which spells disaster if you get caught by the huge combo. Its insta lose, so you always gotta be ultra aware of it. Lastly supp shouldn't have picked Rell in this team comp. Kaisa was already in great danger(as every other ADC would have been, Ez and Ziggs have other issues), you would practically never catch Kench in bot and you just dont wanna engage fights vs Ori-J4-Rumble. Milio should have been picked. Or smth like Blitz that can separate and instakill, but Milio would help Kaisa better.

If senna does not kill a minion, the minion has a high chance to drop a soul. Senna collects these souls to increase her attack, crit and attack range permanently. If she kills the minion, it won't drop a soul, or has a very low chance to drop one. So yes, senna shouldn't cs, most of the time

I played LoL 2013 - 2018, but dang I haven't seen J4 with that damage output in 36:23 with only 2 items. I was used to tank meta that I usually can't nuke adcs in half-life, unless I go a lethality build, which was a relatively new stat that time.
GenG can never ever be a favorite in an International Tournament. They can go 18-0, undefeated in LCK playoff but they will choke in MSI and Worlds. It is just that simple.

Can someone please explain to me what was wrong with GEN's draft? I do know that BLG had a lot of pokers though but nothing more.
My opinion: given the previous games, they should have taken either Rumble, Aatrox, Rene or Jax for Doran(TOP). Gnar is ok in lane or as a counter pick, but is super situational in teamfights. Plus Doran performed so well on Aatrox. They also allowed Rumble+Ori+J4 which spells disaster if you get caught by the huge combo. Its insta lose, so you always gotta be ultra aware of it. Lastly supp shouldn't have picked Rell in this team comp. Kaisa was already in great danger(as every other ADC would have been, Ez and Ziggs have other issues), you would practically never catch Kench in bot and you just dont wanna engage fights vs Ori-J4-Rumble. Milio should have been picked. Or smth like Blitz that can separate and instakill, but Milio would help Kaisa better.

People don't realize how weak LCK is this year compared to LPL. And main problem for GenG this year is that they don't really have anyone to compete with, that's why they always win LCK so easily. You can't really improve and you aren't forced to experiment and try different styles when you play in such a stagnant league like LCK. Faker, Chovy, Showmaker have played this game for so many years, yet their style hasn't changed at all. Look at Knight, TheyShy, or Doinb and how they evolved and changed completely after moving to LPL...

If senna does not kill a minion, the minion has a high chance to drop a soul. Senna collects these souls to increase her attack, crit and attack range permanently. If she kills the minion, it won't drop a soul, or has a very low chance to drop one. So yes, senna shouldn't cs, most of the time

I played LoL 2013 - 2018, but dang I haven't seen J4 with that damage output in 36:23 with only 2 items. I was used to tank meta that I usually can't nuke adcs in half-life, unless I go a lethality build, which was a relatively new stat that time.
