If it makes you feel any better, there isn't any actual confirmation warwick is vander. Vander as a character didn't exist in the league universe before arcane, people just theorize that he's warwick cuz of some stuff that was shown during arcane, but it isn't a concrete true fact
@@artxroyalty There is also the reasonable but possibly coincidental aspect of Vander being the HOUND of the Underground that people latched onto to support the theory. Also both are Very Big Bois. But yes it is not at all confirmed, and would actually not fit certain details of Warwick's lore. So if Vander does end up being Warwick then that would be a change to Warwick's lore.
@@TexasSnyper I dunno, Warwick's theme (well, his chase theme) starts playing in a certain Vander scene, that's kind of a big clue. Besides, the stuff that doesn't fit in WW's lore is miniscule compared to some things they already changed with Arcane. At this point, it would feel like deliberately setting a plot point only to subvert it for subversion's sake.

As someone who spent a lot of time reading lore, it is definitely better to go into this show blind, sure u wont get the cool references sometimes but experiencing events in the story for the first time is still more magical. Don't worry there are more (and even better) surprises to come!
I could be wrong, but I don't think people are prepared for how much might be in this season. The original season one trailer had lots or misdirection. I wouldn't be surprised if Jinx vs Vi happens by end of episode 3 or 4, since the first season was broken into 3 acts. People who know the lore, that ending of the trailer had SO much to unpack. This is not my original post, but I agree with the synopsis which you are on-par with. I think The Fight between the sisters is at the end of ACT I, Jinx will have a Han Solo, redemption or Reluctant hero arc, someone will change her mind that she can do good despite her past, The Firelights and maybe all of Zaun will forgive her in ACT II. I have a feeling the little girl and or Ekko will have something to do with Jinx realizing she can do good. I think the main fight where Vi is wearing some battle armor and flying with Ekko will be in the ACT III and they are not fighting Jinx. Actually I do not even think Caitlyn is fighting Jinx anymore, They are fighting the REAL ENEMY. Ambessa and her Soldiers and maybe even Victor who I think will have transformed and has grown a cult. I just can not see Jinx being the Big Bad in ACT I And ACT III. I do think she will get the reluctant hero treatment, similar to Han Solo's character arc. Ambessa playing on Caitlyn's grief leading Piltover to undergo a soft coup, until it's safe of course "wink". Caitlyn will want Jinx Dead until at least ACT II and then I think Ambessa will show her hand and even Caitlyn will come out of the Revenge trance that she will be in. I think Vi,Ekko,Jinx And eventually Caitlyn are fighting Emperor Palpatine,I mean Ambessa and her Noxius Soldiers. I think either in ACT II or III Warwick will unite Jinx and Vi But, something will happen to Vander, again. Self Sacrifice perhaps. I think Vi goes Emo because she must have had a falling out with Caitlyn. Caitlyn most likely was willing to cross a line to get Jinx that Vi thought was not right, so Cait broke her heart & Vi ended up depressed. ACT II is my guess. I think the person holding the flare is the kid next to Jinx in the alleyway in the prior teaser. I think it might be the kid who changes Jinx perspective that she could be a hero.ACT I Jinx is the target and her mindset will be like Han Solo, "not my problem" let the world burn". The ki enters her life, I think Ekko will have something to do with that, "Boy Savior" afterall. ACT III Caitlyn snaps out of her revenge, and finds out Ambessa's agenda, Vi,Ekko and Jinx All fight together. Vander dies again. Show ends with forgiveness. Also sorry to hear someone spoiled Warwick for you. While others have said below, it's not officially confirmed, it's a very high probability. In league of legends, Warwick and Jinx have voice interaction where Warwick tells Jinx "You were there." and this was about 5-6 years before Arance release, so when Arcane was released, it confirmed for a lot of league players that Vander is Warwick. He also has a voice line with Singed that he mentions "You can't run away from all your mistakes." That's besides about 5-10 other voice lines he has specifically with Singed, Jinx, Vi, and Ekko.
A lot of good hypothesises! Also, you are right there are many misdirections in this trailer, though we don't know which one obviously. The BIGGEST misdirection obviously is: we NEVER see or hear from any character in the council room when it exploded. Leading us to believe that Viktor, Jayce, Mel and Cait's mother are all dead, which is certainly not the case. Cait's mother? probably dead, for Cait to have a revenge arc, but we are not 100% sure, she could be "only" heavily injured for example. Viktor dead? Come one, that would mean throwing in the trash all the "conscious arcane" (don't know the real name) part of the story, and no way they would waste that, especially since it is very important in LOL lore I think. Jayce and Mel dead? Tricky. Jayce dead would be a BOLD move, that means such an important character would have finished its arc in season 1 (we did see him fight as a "champion but only for a brief moment) and now it's all over for him. I don't think they would do that. Mel dead (or possibly heavily injured?) now that would make sense, especially if Jayce survives, that makes a revenge motivation for him AND Ambessa, possibly some common grief to bond over, at least at first before they might split. But she's such a great character I can't help but hope not - THAT I would never forgive Jinx for. In any case you probably can't have both Jayce AND Mel dead, then you throw away a lot of emotional impact with the surviving love bird grieving his/her love - and if you think logically, then Jayce is the most likely to survive, even though my heart would prefer Mel to survive 🙁
But tragedy is so good. I could argue that all of the best comedies have a small bit of tragedy mixed in, and all the best dramas have a small bit of comedy mixed in. I like that I don't know how the show will end. If I thought the show would have a happy ending for everyone, I wouldn't even watch the show.

An interesting detail at 3:23, Sevika is holding Cait up by the face as a rocket of some sort impacts behind them. In the explosion, you can see the silhouette of the hextech sniper rifle from the previous trailer.

Jinx’s/Powder’s characters reasoning is based usually in what I call her favorite person. Every action last season was based in that. Her without one I think she’ll be stuck and then self destructive and either have silco mind ghost appear to cope and then direct her or she’ll attach to sevika. Or maybe she’s alone. Team jinx (I wish no ill of any of them I just prefer jinx’s writing in the cast). The Cait thing I get. I’m hoping it will be her mourning the possibility of the relationship with her mother more so than what it was as we saw. That would hit for me more since they didn’t have enough build up for me. Yeah though. Like jinx’s rocket wasn’t right, but at the same time the council and Cassandra have been part of the problem for years and did nothing but raise their hands in the end. Like Jayce did all the work and they then followed Mel since her influence. It’s understandable on both sides but not justifiable on either. Council/piltover oppressed and neglected zaun for hundreds of years (the lore I’ve read is even worse) and then jinx be killing them.

Bit I think she is flying out of Zaun & Piltover, leaving on terms with Ekko. Too much has happened for Jinx? To stay. She cuts her braids in that scene. I think They killed someone that idolized Jinx and it made Jinx want to get it of reminders of the person lost, dressing up like her. Jinx dropping the match she is not wearing her necklace,her Laces on her shirt that form a X are missing,braids gone. I think she’s dropping a match onto a pyre of someone that looked up to her.

Idk because of the way that did with season one trailers I fell there's a lot they're no telling us , like they made it looks like jinx and vi fighting side by side last season was the climax and it was episode six , so I feel like it's more the first two acts , and maybe some disconnected act 3 , but I think they're hiding a lot

i's Vander in the mural because he had the respect of everyone in the Lanes. Silco ran the undercity with fear and people being dependent on him, not respect. Sure there were people that respected him: Sevika, Jinx, his close crew, maybe some of the chembarons. But overall I don't think the majority respected him in an admirational way, it was fearful respect if anything

I love hearing non League of Legends players' predictions and how crazy they get sometimes lol. even if you knew all there is to know about the game's lore you wouldn't feel spoiled watching it, at least I sure didn't. it was certainly a different type of experience knowing who has plot armor or what their end state is or even what they're absolutely not going to do because it would betray the established character yet it was still a wild unpredictable ride. like I know these two characters are destined to be enemies so I pay more attention to their relationship dynamic and how it evolves, it just feels more interesting to chew on than relationships between original characters if you get what I mean. I'll bet the trailer is mostly misdirections because that's how they do things, cutting up scenes out of context. who is Sevika speaking to? might not be Jinx. who is Jinx speaking to? might not be Vi. who drew the Jinx mural? is it "the people" or just some rebel group?

I agree 100% it’s even crazier bc some people pointed out the firelights supporting Jinx, seen in some of the frames from the trailer. Idk how, but it looks like she’s going to get on their good side.
It sucks that somebody spoiled Vander being Warwick, but for folks that played league, including myself despite having only played a year nearly a decade ago: Vander being Warwick was spoiled for us in episode 1 after a few lines of dialogue when he was referred to as the "Hound of the Underground" which is his headline description as a character in game. That alone was twice as blatant as Milo's "She Jinx's every job" line where game fans immediately knew that Powder was indeed, Jinx. For Folks that are just watching Arcane, they wouldn't know who Warwick or Jinx are without watching extra content directly related to the game. If I blurted out on episode 1 "oh that is gonna be Warwick" while watching with my non-gamer neighbor, he wouldn't know what I was talking about other than an eventual name-change. It's a spoiler but it's sort of accidental in the sense that the fans all sort of know already, and non-fans wouldn't know unless they dived into the deeper lore or played the game and happened to chose to look into those characters. I also think these in-show spoilers are a result of not exactly expecting the first season to pan out and they wanted to get fans hyped off of the first episode. As a person working in animation myself, I sort of bet on the idea this was an attempt at a hook without realizing the rest of the content was already going to be incredible. This level of spoiler is not a product of leaks as much as it is that we already knew before we saw Ep3 of season 1, at least for Jinx's sake. TLDR: Knowing Vander becomes Warwick is knowing the Titanic sinks at the end of the movie, and part of me wishes I didn't investigate league characters to have the experience of not knowing his future. PS: I can't wait for the video essay on Arcane, you have always had solid takes throughout this series and I think this whole comment section can agree we'll all be here come november!
I'm so interested to see what the arcane stuff/development is going to be about. It has gone from blue or purple light to a prismatic looking kinda light. And I hope Victor is alive to explore it but that is bias, Ekko and Heimerdinger could also be the ones. From that one humorous teaser clip I want to see more Heimerdinger action. Also IN GAME SPOILER DISCUSSION WARNING BELOW That shadowy figure with golden eyes and tear marks seen in a half a second at the end of the trailer. I've heard someone throw out the name Le Blanc and I think it makes sense. She has golden eyes and tear tattoo/markings under them like that in the trailer. She is from Noxus so we got that tie-in. Why is she a shadow? Well she is the shadow puppet master of the Black Rose and also mage/witch stuff. If Le Blanc is involved I can see how Ambessa becoming the antagonist easy. Either LB is the one that killed Ambessa's son and with LB closing in, Ambessa becomes a bit more desperate and heavy handed. Or Ambessa is working for her just for the Noxus interests, being to control Pilt and Zaun and them not having any independence.
I'm glad you are going in as blind as possible. There's at least a couple of things I know from the lore that I don't believe you've been spoiled on and my fingers are crossed that it stays that way. I was so angry when Warwick got spoiled.
If I know who you're talking about (and I think I do), where the game is a glorious spoiler for people who don't know League lore, I'm not actually sure that *can* be spoiled. Riot has teased a major visual and lore rework for a character connected to Arcane, and Arcane is now the official canon storyline for League, so my theory right now is *no one* knows that character's future anymore and we won't until season 2 comes out. Kind of like the Warwick speculation, I think there will be a loose connection to that character's old lore and new Arcane lore, but also a lot of major changes.
Cait's mom pretty much only cared about her prestige and money considering how she flipped flopped with her support for Jayce. And since she's a 1 percenter then good riddance. Poor Cait tho, still her mom.
Most of the counsel were extraneous characters at best. I could see most of the counsel getting wiped out. That really only leaves the question of Mel and Jayce, but it's difficult to imagine they're not going to be key players in the new season. The trailer did well not to show them, that was probably intentional and not that they're dead even though this is the suggestion.
Fortieche is so good at misdirection. See the season 1 trailer and tell me they aint masters of it. Never take what they show in trailers at face value.
I'm sad you got a random commenting about WW I hope yous still her to enjoy whetever happens in that regard, as a league player, and although I know most if not all lore up to this characters I would love to mention that the writers didn't follow the story perfectly on Arcane, and mostly if not everything was differently and impressive in the best way possible, even if there were some clear hints here and there to have surprisdes for everyone so I'm hopeful for your reaction; Like imagine before Arcane Jinx and Vi being sisters was a very vague easter egg, and having it confirmed was amazingly still, so I hope the situation mirrors to other things in your experience.
i'd be ok with a "happy" ending where Ekko ends up as leader of Zaun, Jayce of Piltover, Victor as the "bridge", Caitlyn and Vi defeat Jinx but she escapes and starts a new life elsewhere from zero, like a 2nd chance at life. I just dont see how Vi and Jinx can reconcile after all this, after blowing up the council theres no turning back for them as sisters
Just for the record: I don't think Vander = Warwick is 100% confirmed, it just seems extreeeemely likely from what we know of warwick and what we've seen of Vander. I don't know if it's totally fair to call it spoiling, you've just been exposed to really good speculation.
I know the vander spoiler sucks but take it from a veteran of the game and saw this coming a mile away, arcane still surprised me with vi, jinx, jayce and viktor etc. Thats why this series is sick, it somehow appeals to the masses without alienating its core fanbase. Crazy, havent seen the casual watchers of the show and hardcore fans of the game be in agreement in any ip, in a loong time.
Warrick being Vander is speculation not a spoiler. But just about everyone came to that conclusion because it makes sense and that was even before the Warrick specific teaser several months ago

Because unless someone has some inside info whoever says anything about this season is just guessing and if they claim otherwise they are lying.
Technically, none of us know for sure Vander is Warwick so nobody can spoil that. It's just speculation based on various evidence and probably a lot of hopium from people who want Vander to live on at any cost. No one from Riot or the Arcane team has officially confirmed anything except that Warwick is in season 2 (which they first confirmed in the Arcane season 2 announcement video that debuted when S1 ended). Do I think it's true? Yup. But does it count as a spoiler? Not as far as I'm concerned. It's speculation same as any other S2 guess.
Just remember, citizens suffered under silco and jinx enabled that, hence no silco mural. I believe everyone is projecting their own image of jinx, hence putting Vander and white doves(symbols of peace) onto the jinx mural. Kinda seems like a slap in the face of those who actively tried to help zaunites: ekko and the firelights, and Vi to an extent. I think the point is that only very few people know the real jinx, and they would feel some type of way with her being compared to vander. But she's needed in war and that's why sevika uses her as a symbol.
Team Jinx too because in lore and in game Vi is corupted cop and such a "b*tch" i don't like her. Silco and Vander are the some paralera to Powder and Vi. One was mind and Second was strength. They have a confrict. The power one attack/nearly killed the weaker one. And then the weacker one have mental breakdowm and use his mind to be better and powerfull. Silco tried to protect Jinx from Vi Silco know what he was doing becouse the some thing has happend him physic and mentality. And when you re-watch scene when he took Jinx on some place where Vander almost killed him. And them you can see that she was mentality better, she did make a weapon and then after Sevica tell her about VI. You can see in that moment mindset change/reset back. -------- Silco loved Jinx and tried to protect her. He knew about her mental illness and what triggers it. When Jinx remembers her family she has ptsd. And he realy cares for her. When Jinx kills the firelights and ruin his work Silco blames and yells Shevika but with Jinx he tells her calmly that she was wrong. When Jinx kills the enforcers Silco is angry but he wasnt going to hurt her. And Jinx didnt afraid him. He wanted to impess him. -------- As with crystal when Jinx tried to creat the weapon she had ptsd of her dead family. After the scene in the river when Silco told her to get over the past it worked. --------- Jinx continued to make the gun without any problems. All was fine unltil Vi came. When Jinx saw Vi she remembered what she did. Vi didnt know about her traumaand or how to handle it. Vi wants the best for her and keep her safe but she hurts her. I dont blame Vi. She thinks Silco is a monster and he manipulates her in his favor and she has every right to believes. Vi only know that Silco kidnapped Vander and caused his death. And that we can see it clear in the final scene. Silco gave up everything he wanted to protect Jinx. And he didnt get mad when she kidnapped him because he understand how she feels. Vi tries to make Jinx remember but she only make things worse. Silco sees jinx suffering and tries to help her by shooting Vi witch leading to his death. I dont say Silco was right and Vi was wrong the one. And thats the good with Arcane. There are not black and white. Silco tried to kill 4 children to avenge Vander and done many evil things. Also he feared that Jinx would abadon him and thats why he told her some lies. But in the end Silco wasn't the clice villain. He was a complex character with issues and weakness. And Vi wasn't evil or totally wrong. Ηer intentions were good but in the end she would make things worse because she doesn't know the real Jinx.

I so agree re: not being attached to cassandra. As u can probably tell by my pfp, jinx's strong familial relationships are what makes me a little unhinged about her. If we got some more of cassandra like we did of silco id be more crazy about cait, i think. Like i would care more about her being dead if they had more of a mel/ambessa intensity to them yknow? Not that i think its a flaw in the show. Caitlyn has more reasons to hate jinxs ass than cassandra dying. Such ep8 for instance
Exactly. It's harder for me to connect emotionally and really feel Cait's loss, especially when she went through the entire season butting heads with her mom. With Jinx, I was able to really grow that emotional connection with her, like...I don't care what anyone says, that's lil sis right there and NOBODY better touch her. Definitely not a flaw in the writing, I feel that just wasn't the parental relationship they wanted us to hone in on.
Vander being Warwick is purely a theory created by the community. Looking at the show and all the evidence, it's definitely a strong theory. I also feel like I wish I hadn't known. But the reveal will still destroy me all the same if we are correct. It will destroy me as much as it might destroy Vi if she finds out.

Sometimes i wonder if Jinx should be punished or not, i mean legally? probably... she did kill a bunch o innocent people. But its so complicated punitive justice might not be the answer here. This show has over and over again emphasized the damage that it does, so I really don't think that it would be helpful in the case of someone who has already been so hurt by the powers that be. But I don't think she'll get a full redemption arc, either, the show might end with her gaining some perspective and maybe starting down a path of healing and atonement.

My theory is Jinx is going to be be aiming her gun(s) at Vi while they’re fighting and Caitlyn will shoot her finger (not as the kill shot) but to keep her from shooting at Vi. There’s a quick clip where we see Sevika and Cait fighting so I’m thinking while Vi and Jinx are fighting Cait will try to intervene to kill Jinx but Sevika will interfere to keep her off of Jinx.
Hey, it sucks that someone spoiled Warwick for you but if it makes it better I can tell you that it probably won't ruin the show for you that much. You have to remember that the main audience are people already invested in the IP, so a lot of the show is written with the mindset of "everyone already knows where it ends, but how can we get there in a way that surprises people?". As a person that knows nearly everything about these characters and the lore, I was still constantly caught off guard by the writers. It's probably more fun to know nothing, but the show is written to be fun even if you know everything. So don't stress about it too much :)

When the leaks were first announced I had to mute everything Arcane related! Even deleted my Reddit app for a little. I wanted to wait for things to die down a bit, so I unmuted about a week or two ago. Haven’t came across anything…yet 😅
My favorite character in season 1 is Caitlyn and for what we see in the posters, teasers and trailers I know im going to sufer because she will be consumed by rage and wrath and Ambessa will take advantage of that😢 i will be sad or mad at her probably but I still understand her. Another thing I see a lot of people talking about understanding that she is sad for her mother but that is not the only thing, Jinx also almost exploded her 2 different times, she kidnapped her, dressed her and pointed a gun directly to her head, she is justified on her hatred for Jinx, and also she is from piltover, she probably wont be happy that in Zaun people will see Jinx as a hero. does that mean that I want her to kill Jinx, no, I like Jinx and I want her to take the responsibility of shooting the bomb and become something positive for her city, i dont want suffering for anyone here but is Arcane so all of us will suffer togheter 🙃 I hope that by the end Caitlyn will be able to fix things within herself because if not I will be really really sad, i saw this series almost three years ago and she has been a character that I have loved for so long, im preparing myself to cry 😢

Alright now we're getting very frame by frame, but for a very short second at 8:04 you see what I am 100% sure is Jayce! The bracelet he always wears has melded to his wrist, the blue crystal is fused to his skin with what looks like golden metal around it and then scarred skin. Did this happen in the explosion? If it makes you feel any better, there isn't any actual confirmation warwick is vander. Vander as a character didn't exist in the league universe before arcane, people just theorize that he's warwick cuz of some stuff that was shown during arcane, but it isn't a concrete true fact

But yes it is not at all confirmed, and would actually not fit certain details of Warwick's lore. So if Vander does end up being Warwick then that would be a change to Warwick's lore.

Besides, the stuff that doesn't fit in WW's lore is miniscule compared to some things they already changed with Arcane. Damn Warwick got spoiled for you. As someone who spent a lot of time reading lore, it is definitely better to go into this show blind, sure u wont get the cool references sometimes but experiencing events in the story for the first time is still more magical. Don't worry there are more (and even better) surprises to come!
I could be wrong, but I don't think people are prepared for how much might be in this season. The original season one trailer had lots or misdirection. I wouldn't be surprised if Jinx vs Vi happens by end of episode 3 or 4, since the first season was broken into 3 acts. People who know the lore, that ending of the trailer had SO much to unpack. This is not my original post, but I agree with the synopsis which you are on-par with.
I think The Fight between the sisters is at the end of ACT I, Jinx will have a Han Solo, redemption or Reluctant hero arc, someone will change her mind that she can do good despite her past, The Firelights and maybe all of Zaun will forgive her in ACT II. I have a feeling the little girl and or Ekko will have something to do with Jinx realizing she can do good. I think the main fight where Vi is wearing some battle armor and flying with Ekko will be in the ACT III and they are not fighting Jinx. Actually I do not even think Caitlyn is fighting Jinx anymore, They are fighting the REAL ENEMY. Ambessa and her Soldiers and maybe even Victor who I think will have transformed and has grown a cult. I just can not see Jinx being the Big Bad in ACT I And ACT III. I do think she will get the reluctant hero treatment, similar to Han Solo's character arc. Ambessa playing on Caitlyn's grief leading Piltover to undergo a soft coup, until it's safe of course "wink". Caitlyn will want Jinx Dead until at least ACT II and then I think Ambessa will show her hand and even Caitlyn will come out of the Revenge trance that she will be in. I think Vi,Ekko,Jinx And eventually Caitlyn are fighting Emperor Palpatine,I mean Ambessa and her Noxius Soldiers. I think either in ACT II or III Warwick will unite Jinx and Vi But, something will happen to Vander, again. Self Sacrifice perhaps. I think Vi goes Emo because she must have had a falling out with Caitlyn. Caitlyn most likely was willing to cross a line to get Jinx that Vi thought was not right, so Cait broke her heart & Vi ended up depressed. ACT II is my guess. I think the person holding the flare is the kid next to Jinx in the alleyway in the prior teaser. I think it might be the kid who changes Jinx perspective that she could be a hero.ACT I Jinx is the target and her mindset will be like Han Solo, "not my problem" let the world burn". The ki enters her life, I think Ekko will have something to do with that, "Boy Savior" afterall. ACT III Caitlyn snaps out of her revenge, and finds out Ambessa's agenda, Vi,Ekko and Jinx All fight together. Vander dies again. Show ends with forgiveness.
Also sorry to hear someone spoiled Warwick for you. While others have said below, it's not officially confirmed, it's a very high probability. In league of legends, Warwick and Jinx have voice interaction where Warwick tells Jinx "You were there." and this was about 5-6 years before Arance release, so when Arcane was released, it confirmed for a lot of league players that Vander is Warwick. He also has a voice line with Singed that he mentions "You can't run away from all your mistakes." That's besides about 5-10 other voice lines he has specifically with Singed, Jinx, Vi, and Ekko.
A lot of good hypothesises! Also, you are right there are many misdirections in this trailer, though we don't know which one obviously.
The BIGGEST misdirection obviously is: we NEVER see or hear from any character in the council room when it exploded. Leading us to believe that Viktor, Jayce, Mel and Cait's mother are all dead, which is certainly not the case. Cait's mother? probably dead, for Cait to have a revenge arc, but we are not 100% sure, she could be "only" heavily injured for example. Viktor dead? Come one, that would mean throwing in the trash all the "conscious arcane" (don't know the real name) part of the story, and no way they would waste that, especially since it is very important in LOL lore I think. Jayce and Mel dead? Tricky. Jayce dead would be a BOLD move, that means such an important character would have finished its arc in season 1 (we did see him fight as a "champion but only for a brief moment) and now it's all over for him. I don't think they would do that. Mel dead (or possibly heavily injured?) now that would make sense, especially if Jayce survives, that makes a revenge motivation for him AND Ambessa, possibly some common grief to bond over, at least at first before they might split. But she's such a great character I can't help but hope not - THAT I would never forgive Jinx for. In any case you probably can't have both Jayce AND Mel dead, then you throw away a lot of emotional impact with the surviving love bird grieving his/her love - and if you think logically, then Jayce is the most likely to survive, even though my heart would prefer Mel to survive 🙁
My heart : I'm pro everyone, I hope everything gets better and everyone has a good ending.
My brain : You know it's not going to end that way.
But tragedy is so good. I could argue that all of the best comedies have a small bit of tragedy mixed in, and all the best dramas have a small bit of comedy mixed in. I like that I don't know how the show will end. If I thought the show would have a happy ending for everyone, I wouldn't even watch the show.

An interesting detail at 3:23, Sevika is holding Cait up by the face as a rocket of some sort impacts behind them. In the explosion, you can see the silhouette of the hextech sniper rifle from the previous trailer.

Jinx’s/Powder’s characters reasoning is based usually in what I call her favorite person. Every action last season was based in that. Her without one I think she’ll be stuck and then self destructive and either have silco mind ghost appear to cope and then direct her or she’ll attach to sevika. Or maybe she’s alone. Team jinx (I wish no ill of any of them I just prefer jinx’s writing in the cast).
The Cait thing I get. I’m hoping it will be her mourning the possibility of the relationship with her mother more so than what it was as we saw. That would hit for me more since they didn’t have enough build up for me. Yeah though. Like jinx’s rocket wasn’t right, but at the same time the council and Cassandra have been part of the problem for years and did nothing but raise their hands in the end. Like Jayce did all the work and they then followed Mel since her influence. It’s understandable on both sides but not justifiable on either. Council/piltover oppressed and neglected zaun for hundreds of years (the lore I’ve read is even worse) and then jinx be killing them.

i's Vander in the mural because he had the respect of everyone in the Lanes. Silco ran the undercity with fear and people being dependent on him, not respect. Sure there were people that respected him: Sevika, Jinx, his close crew, maybe some of the chembarons. But overall I don't think the majority respected him in an admirational way, it was fearful respect if anything
Vander is the symbol of hope, certainly not Silco. Hope is the basis of a good revolution, not fear.

I love hearing non League of Legends players' predictions and how crazy they get sometimes lol. even if you knew all there is to know about the game's lore you wouldn't feel spoiled watching it, at least I sure didn't. it was certainly a different type of experience knowing who has plot armor or what their end state is or even what they're absolutely not going to do because it would betray the established character yet it was still a wild unpredictable ride. like I know these two characters are destined to be enemies so I pay more attention to their relationship dynamic and how it evolves, it just feels more interesting to chew on than relationships between original characters if you get what I mean.
I'll bet the trailer is mostly misdirections because that's how they do things, cutting up scenes out of context. who is Sevika speaking to? might not be Jinx. who is Jinx speaking to? might not be Vi. who drew the Jinx mural? is it "the people" or just some rebel group?
The lore in the videogame is not detailed, The serie is The first that really explain an event in the World of runeterra, Even that Vander is Warwick isn't confirmed in the lore, it's just a probably theory that was growing as the chapters we're publicated, Nice video ❤

I agree 100% it’s even crazier bc some people pointed out the firelights supporting Jinx, seen in some of the frames from the trailer. Idk how, but it looks like she’s going to get on their good side.
It sucks that somebody spoiled Vander being Warwick, but for folks that played league, including myself despite having only played a year nearly a decade ago: Vander being Warwick was spoiled for us in episode 1 after a few lines of dialogue when he was referred to as the "Hound of the Underground" which is his headline description as a character in game. That alone was twice as blatant as Milo's "She Jinx's every job" line where game fans immediately knew that Powder was indeed, Jinx. For Folks that are just watching Arcane, they wouldn't know who Warwick or Jinx are without watching extra content directly related to the game. If I blurted out on episode 1 "oh that is gonna be Warwick" while watching with my non-gamer neighbor, he wouldn't know what I was talking about other than an eventual name-change.
It's a spoiler but it's sort of accidental in the sense that the fans all sort of know already, and non-fans wouldn't know unless they dived into the deeper lore or played the game and happened to chose to look into those characters.
I also think these in-show spoilers are a result of not exactly expecting the first season to pan out and they wanted to get fans hyped off of the first episode. As a person working in animation myself, I sort of bet on the idea this was an attempt at a hook without realizing the rest of the content was already going to be incredible. This level of spoiler is not a product of leaks as much as it is that we already knew before we saw Ep3 of season 1, at least for Jinx's sake.
TLDR: Knowing Vander becomes Warwick is knowing the Titanic sinks at the end of the movie, and part of me wishes I didn't investigate league characters to have the experience of not knowing his future.
PS: I can't wait for the video essay on Arcane, you have always had solid takes throughout this series and I think this whole comment section can agree we'll all be here come november!
I'm so interested to see what the arcane stuff/development is going to be about. It has gone from blue or purple light to a prismatic looking kinda light. And I hope Victor is alive to explore it but that is bias, Ekko and Heimerdinger could also be the ones. From that one humorous teaser clip I want to see more Heimerdinger action.

That shadowy figure with golden eyes and tear marks seen in a half a second at the end of the trailer. I've heard someone throw out the name Le Blanc and I think it makes sense. She has golden eyes and tear tattoo/markings under them like that in the trailer. She is from Noxus so we got that tie-in. Why is she a shadow? Well she is the shadow puppet master of the Black Rose and also mage/witch stuff.
If Le Blanc is involved I can see how Ambessa becoming the antagonist easy. Either LB is the one that killed Ambessa's son and with LB closing in, Ambessa becomes a bit more desperate and heavy handed. Or Ambessa is working for her just for the Noxus interests, being to control Pilt and Zaun and them not having any independence.
I loved Season 1, it was a masterpiece. This trailer looks just as good or even better. Looking forward to November, Team Jinx btw. 💙🔥

I'm glad you are going in as blind as possible. There's at least a couple of things I know from the lore that I don't believe you've been spoiled on and my fingers are crossed that it stays that way. I was so angry when Warwick got spoiled.
If I know who you're talking about (and I think I do), where the game is a glorious spoiler for people who don't know League lore, I'm not actually sure that *can* be spoiled.
Riot has teased a major visual and lore rework for a character connected to Arcane, and Arcane is now the official canon storyline for League, so my theory right now is *no one* knows that character's future anymore and we won't until season 2 comes out.
Kind of like the Warwick speculation, I think there will be a loose connection to that character's old lore and new Arcane lore, but also a lot of major changes.

Most of the counsel were extraneous characters at best. I could see most of the counsel getting wiped out.
That really only leaves the question of Mel and Jayce, but it's difficult to imagine they're not going to be key players in the new season. The trailer did well not to show them, that was probably intentional and not that they're dead even though this is the suggestion.
Fortieche is so good at misdirection. See the season 1 trailer and tell me they aint masters of it. Never take what they show in trailers at face value.

I hope yous still her to enjoy whetever happens in that regard, as a league player, and although I know most if not all lore up to this characters I would love to mention that the writers didn't follow the story perfectly on Arcane, and mostly if not everything was differently and impressive in the best way possible, even if there were some clear hints here and there to have surprisdes for everyone so I'm hopeful for your reaction;
Like imagine before Arcane Jinx and Vi being sisters was a very vague easter egg, and having it confirmed was amazingly still, so I hope the situation mirrors to other things in your experience.
i'd be ok with a "happy" ending where Ekko ends up as leader of Zaun, Jayce of Piltover, Victor as the "bridge", Caitlyn and Vi defeat Jinx but she escapes and starts a new life elsewhere from zero, like a 2nd chance at life. I just dont see how Vi and Jinx can reconcile after all this, after blowing up the council theres no turning back for them as sisters
Btw, warwick and his identity is entirely speculation. Its not a spoiler per se. Though i suspect it is the case.
Just for the record: I don't think Vander = Warwick is 100% confirmed, it just seems extreeeemely likely from what we know of warwick and what we've seen of Vander. I don't know if it's totally fair to call it spoiling, you've just been exposed to really good speculation.

I know the vander spoiler sucks but take it from a veteran of the game and saw this coming a mile away, arcane still surprised me with vi, jinx, jayce and viktor etc.
Thats why this series is sick, it somehow appeals to the masses without alienating its core fanbase. Crazy, havent seen the casual watchers of the show and hardcore fans of the game be in agreement in any ip, in a loong time.
Warrick being Vander is speculation not a spoiler. But just about everyone came to that conclusion because it makes sense and that was even before the Warrick specific teaser several months ago

Technically, none of us know for sure Vander is Warwick so nobody can spoil that.
It's just speculation based on various evidence and probably a lot of hopium from people who want Vander to live on at any cost.
No one from Riot or the Arcane team has officially confirmed anything except that Warwick is in season 2 (which they first confirmed in the Arcane season 2 announcement video that debuted when S1 ended).
Do I think it's true? Yup. But does it count as a spoiler? Not as far as I'm concerned. It's speculation same as any other S2 guess.
Just remember, citizens suffered under silco and jinx enabled that, hence no silco mural. I believe everyone is projecting their own image of jinx, hence putting Vander and white doves(symbols of peace) onto the jinx mural. Kinda seems like a slap in the face of those who actively tried to help zaunites: ekko and the firelights, and Vi to an extent.
I think the point is that only very few people know the real jinx, and they would feel some type of way with her being compared to vander.
But she's needed in war and that's why sevika uses her as a symbol.

Team Jinx too because in lore and in game Vi is corupted cop and such a "b*tch" i don't like her. Silco and Vander are the some paralera to Powder and Vi. One was mind and Second was strength. They have a confrict. The power one attack/nearly killed the weaker one. And then the weacker one have mental breakdowm and use his mind to be better and powerfull. Silco tried to protect Jinx from Vi Silco know what he was doing becouse the some thing has happend him physic and mentality. And when you re-watch scene when he took Jinx on some place where Vander almost killed him. And them you can see that she was mentality better, she did make a weapon and then after Sevica tell her about VI. You can see in that moment mindset change/reset back. -------- Silco loved Jinx and tried to protect her. He knew about her mental illness and what triggers it. When Jinx remembers her family she has ptsd. And he realy cares for her. When Jinx kills the firelights and ruin his work Silco blames and yells Shevika but with Jinx he tells her calmly that she was wrong. When Jinx kills the enforcers Silco is angry but he wasnt going to hurt her. And Jinx didnt afraid him. He wanted to impess him. -------- As with crystal when Jinx tried to creat the weapon she had ptsd of her dead family. After the scene in the river when Silco told her to get over the past it worked. --------- Jinx continued to make the gun without any problems. All was fine unltil Vi came. When Jinx saw Vi she remembered what she did. Vi didnt know about her traumaand or how to handle it. Vi wants the best for her and keep her safe but she hurts her. I dont blame Vi. She thinks Silco is a monster and he manipulates her in his favor and she has every right to believes. Vi only know that Silco kidnapped Vander and caused his death. And that we can see it clear in the final scene. Silco gave up everything he wanted to protect Jinx. And he didnt get mad when she kidnapped him because he understand how she feels. Vi tries to make Jinx remember but she only make things worse. Silco sees jinx suffering and tries to help her by shooting Vi witch leading to his death. I dont say Silco was right and Vi was wrong the one. And thats the good with Arcane. There are not black and white. Silco tried to kill 4 children to avenge Vander and done many evil things. Also he feared that Jinx would abadon him and thats why he told her some lies. But in the end Silco wasn't the clice villain. He was a complex character with issues and weakness. And Vi wasn't evil or totally wrong. Ηer intentions were good but in the end she would make things worse because she doesn't know the real Jinx.

I so agree re: not being attached to cassandra. As u can probably tell by my pfp, jinx's strong familial relationships are what makes me a little unhinged about her. If we got some more of cassandra like we did of silco id be more crazy about cait, i think. Like i would care more about her being dead if they had more of a mel/ambessa intensity to them yknow?
Not that i think its a flaw in the show. Caitlyn has more reasons to hate jinxs ass than cassandra dying. Such ep8 for instance
Exactly. It's harder for me to connect emotionally and really feel Cait's loss, especially when she went through the entire season butting heads with her mom.
With Jinx, I was able to really grow that emotional connection with her, like...I don't care what anyone says, that's lil sis right there and NOBODY better touch her. Definitely not a flaw in the writing, I feel that just wasn't the parental relationship they wanted us to hone in on.
Vander being Warwick is purely a theory created by the community. Looking at the show and all the evidence, it's definitely a strong theory. I also feel like I wish I hadn't known. But the reveal will still destroy me all the same if we are correct. It will destroy me as much as it might destroy Vi if she finds out.

Sometimes i wonder if Jinx should be punished or not, i mean legally? probably... she did kill a bunch o innocent people. But its so complicated punitive justice might not be the answer here. This show has over and over again emphasized the damage that it does, so I really don't think that it would be helpful in the case of someone who has already been so hurt by the powers that be. But I don't think she'll get a full redemption arc, either, the show might end with her gaining some perspective and maybe starting down a path of healing and atonement.
Jinx just provides a lot questions of morality which I love

My theory is Jinx is going to be be aiming her gun(s) at Vi while they’re fighting and Caitlyn will shoot her finger (not as the kill shot) but to keep her from shooting at Vi.
There’s a quick clip where we see Sevika and Cait fighting so I’m thinking while Vi and Jinx are fighting Cait will try to intervene to kill Jinx but Sevika will interfere to keep her off of Jinx.

Hey, it sucks that someone spoiled Warwick for you but if it makes it better I can tell you that it probably won't ruin the show for you that much. You have to remember that the main audience are people already invested in the IP, so a lot of the show is written with the mindset of "everyone already knows where it ends, but how can we get there in a way that surprises people?". As a person that knows nearly everything about these characters and the lore, I was still constantly caught off guard by the writers. It's probably more fun to know nothing, but the show is written to be fun even if you know everything. So don't stress about it too much :)

When the leaks were first announced I had to mute everything Arcane related! Even deleted my Reddit app for a little. I wanted to wait for things to die down a bit, so I unmuted about a week or two ago. Haven’t came across anything…yet 😅

My favorite character in season 1 is Caitlyn and for what we see in the posters, teasers and trailers I know im going to sufer because she will be consumed by rage and wrath and Ambessa will take advantage of that😢 i will be sad or mad at her probably but I still understand her.
Another thing I see a lot of people talking about understanding that she is sad for her mother but that is not the only thing, Jinx also almost exploded her 2 different times, she kidnapped her, dressed her and pointed a gun directly to her head, she is justified on her hatred for Jinx, and also she is from piltover, she probably wont be happy that in Zaun people will see Jinx as a hero. does that mean that I want her to kill Jinx, no, I like Jinx and I want her to take the responsibility of shooting the bomb and become something positive for her city, i dont want suffering for anyone here but is Arcane so all of us will suffer togheter 🙃
I hope that by the end Caitlyn will be able to fix things within herself because if not I will be really really sad, i saw this series almost three years ago and she has been a character that I have loved for so long, im preparing myself to cry 😢

Okay Jinx at 7:58!! Notice that her Mylo and Claggor "dolls" are still hanging in the background 😭 but also, she's leaning on a ship's stearing wheel, more accurately it looks like it's an airship in this case. Remember in ep 1 she said that one day she was going to fly one of those things, and then Mylo saying he was going to shoot one of them down one day?
Alright now we're getting very frame by frame, but for a very short second at 8:04 you see what I am 100% sure is Jayce! The bracelet he always wears has melded to his wrist, the blue crystal is fused to his skin with what looks like golden metal around it and then scarred skin. Did this happen in the explosion? Is the gold around it somehow connected to Mel?
As I've said before...we won't be seeing the last of these champions...they will 100% appear in other shows
