My First Night in Pokhara Nepal🇳🇵

Tonight is my first night in Pokhara and it is time to see what this place is all about. I walked over to the hotel I stayed at called Hotel Iceland (which I later moved out of due to paying too much for the place). There was nothing major wrong with the hotel, the wifi was decent and the staff was nice, but it was not worth $50 USD per night so I checked out early after 2 nights there. After showing the hotel, I decided it was time to get some food so I walked into town and came across a local performance and decided to watch the performance and enjoy a meal. After the meal, I had to grab a quick dessert and then head over to see what lakeside Pokhara was like at night.

Lakeside in 1976 had a four room guest house, the "Swiss Restaurant" and a dozen two room houses. Nothing over two levels. The rest was paddocks, green field. However on the other side of the lake was a beautiful white structure, the locals were vague about it.

I stayed in Hotel Iceland when I went on a short tour with my friends to Pokhara and it was a lovely experience. The internet, the food was the best and coincidently I stayed in room 208 as well.

Those are not mountains that u saw from ur hotel balcony .in Nepal we call them hills where people live and climb up and down everyday ,many times .in Nepal unless it’s snow capped it’s not a mountain . The one that seemed very pointy is called sarangkot ,u will perhaps go there one morn for the spectacular sunrise and the view of the whole valley Pokhara and vicinity …or u can even take a cable car ride to there .u sud wait for the morning for u will see there are actually real snow capped mountains behind the hills ,giant ones and part of the Himalayas .the most famous being macchapuchhre which translates to fishtail in English since the mountain looks like the tail of a fish.have a great time in pkr .much cleaner and quiet and laidback than kathmandu innit ?
