BT17 brings more Digimon Frontier support with the return bt17 blue hybrid, with new support for Koji Minamoto, Lobomon, Kendogarurumon, Beowolfmon and AncientGarurumon! Have to give the video a loss for several reasons:
- Garmmon is literally the key of the deck. With in-built draw, it always triggers Koji's +1 and other effect (unblockable is really valuable against Magnamon X). Then you can combo up to AncientGarurumon, effectively bouncing one (if there's any target) and checking one, then passing turn, getting another Garmmon and Koji back for next turn. Or you can just 0 cost evo to Beowulfmon or JetSilphymon, then go AncientGarurumon without selfdestruct.
- AncientGarurumon is not OP, but really strong. Just by moving your BT Ukkomon from the Raising Area, you'll bounce a security. How it's not even good?
- The option is also crucial to recycle AncientGarurumon, because it has selfdestruct and no protection,
I wonder if you've played enough matches with the deck to understand it fully.
I did won/cut some locals and got X-1 in Evolution Cup with the deck.
It is not the strongest deck in the meta IMO just because these 3 decks exist:
- BG jogress has insane swarm and Partition
- Doru SOC can kill tamers
- Omega ACE will just botdeck your AncientGaruru, disabling the recycle

BT17 Lobomon has the When Digivolving effect to warp into AncientGarurumon at a cost of 3 but at the end of the turn, you have to Delete that Digimon, that is what makes AncientGarurumon a SAUCE!

This deck has been doing very well in Asia but the deck lists will make your eyes vomit.

I think you're grossly undervaluing the AncientGaruru effect. It's repeatable security bounce. Mirage does it once if they don't have a target. This does it every turn even if you draw off effect and your opponent doesn't give you anything to bounce. And if they delete it, you get to add back a hybrid & tamer then play any tamer for free. It's insane value. Not even to mention the Xros and synergy with the option

Yea I do agree, as I mentioned in the outro I do think I was overcritical of the Ancientgarurumon card in particular. It definitely is a strong boss monster, I just think it may see more success outside it's dedicated archetype, but only time will tell you

@@akechitg1143 Yes, since it is about Frontier and the ex6 cards mention Satan mode they should add another Lucemon lvl3, another Falldown Mode lvl 5, they must add Satan Mode and both Dynas and Lordknight should support it. I also hope they keep adding the Demon lords X and bring Lucemon X

@@yumijandro7761 my personal wish is for a good magnagarurumon and quicker ways to fill the hand for koji warping. Also this will probably not happen but I hope magnagaruru and emperorgrey count as their respective ancients so the bt17 can warp into them
