Thank you so much for this tutorial, I’ve already made 3 of them for gifts and I am working on a fourth now. I look forward to more tutorials in the future.
wow what a great tutorial thanks for taking the time to speak slowly and clearly as i am a total beginner , being Dyslexic i struggle with memory and patterns having the stich patten wrote on the screen helped me remember what you just said i look forward to viewing more of your tutorials 🤩
Excellent tutorial. Slow enough to understand, yet fast enough to keep attention. I had no idea that so many different projects could be made on these round looms. Thank you for my renewed interest in my looms. I’ll give this a try👍👍
I just made this. However, i didnt do 20 rows because it was looking too wide. I did 18. I probably should have backed it to 16. I like how it looks. Used varigated color strand.
I was wondering how wide it came out. I'm glad I looked through the comments and found yours. I'll do 16 rows, as I don't want it to be too wide. Did you use the 36 or 41 peg loom? I'm thinking 36. My head is smaller than a friend of mine, who I adapted a different headband for size.
This looks great! I’m generally no good with things like this but your very clear method of teaching and the not-too-complicated way of this design gives me confidence that I can do this one!
If you have a equal peg loom how do you end of row 1.? Because you are ending of with a k k. on 35 and 36. Then for row 2 you must start again on peg 1 and 2 with a k.k.
Hi! 😃 Thank you for sharing your video. You explain the directions very clearly. I’ll have to get my loom out & try the double moss stitch. Thank you 😁
Hello, I love your videos. you are fantastic. I am a bit confused though I started making this and mine is so much bigger than yours. when you count rounds, I use a stitch counter so each time I do a round I click it? As of right now my stitch counter is at 20, so i will take it off the loom. It looks so much wider that yours. I don't know why. I am still new at this and i thank goodness that there are videos. i would be lost without them. thank you so much
Thank you for showing up I made a few for my family and realized i did it all wrong lol my first row was kk pp second row i did was ppkk and did that for 20 rows then I came back to the video today and was like omg I did it all wrong
Great video instructions! I'm used to working counterclockwise just because I'm right handed and it's easier to hold the loom in my left hand while knitting so I had to train my brain while watching your video. One question, since this is a great project for leftover yarn, have you measured how many yards you used while making this on both the 41& 36 peg looms? It would be really helpful for future projects to make sure we have enough "leftover yarn" for this project. Thanks! Glad I found you on TH-cam!
Unfortunately I didn't measure the yardage, and I don't have a digital scale to weigh the items and then approximate the length needed. Maybe do fewer than the recommended 20 rounds if you see you don't have enough length for the stretchy bind off?
@@hellomsyarn FYI, now that I've made a couple of these, here is what I've learned. The 41 peg size using 20 rows of the #6 Thick & Quick Yarn was too big for my female head (and even very loose on my husband's head). I used a 36 Peg loom and did 16 Rows and it was perfect! And that size uses about 31 yards of yarn. Hope this helps!
My question is how do I handle the extra 3 pegs on a 31 peg loom. I'm an adult woman with a very small head. I've started three headbands, and down to a 31 peg loom. I was up to 14th row, but my pattern is way off. Like a 41, it's not a perfect 4 peg. It has 3 left over. I'm not sure how to handle this. I love the way you had me mark it! And I took the 31 peg one off the loom, and it fits! Just now the seed pattern.
Sadly this tie off method destroyed my chenille yarn and ultimately hours of work on a project... Would recommend adding for us beginners that this method will onlu work with specific yarns.
I used tape to mark peg 1, but I didn't really need to since this brand of loom comes with an anchor peg. But the extra marking is more visible to me, and reminds me to start a new row.
Hi my name is Julietta....I love the Pattern 💛🧡... please do you have this Pattern in a Long Loom....I will like to make a Scarf with it...thank you for the video
With a loom that is divisible by 4 rows 1 and 2 will end with P,P and rows 3 and 4 will end with K,K correct? Wanting to make sure I have look marked correctly. Also do you have any patterns for fingerless gloves?
I am actually not sure since I'm having trouble visualizing it at the moment. Sorry, it's been a while. If you can test it out, I'd be interested in knowing how it works out.
Hi, It's my first time making this and have a question. Is every round of 4 considered one set? I've done 5 sets of 4 rounds but doesn't look as wide as your video.
You could use one or two strands of #4, but since I haven't tested it, I wouldn't know about the finished circumference. I suggest that you do maybe 8 rows and see whether or not the size is suitable.
Hi I just finished making the earwarmer/Headband from your Double moss stitch video and it is not 20inches/51 cm. It is only 4inches. What did I do wrong?
@@tpuglas1474 When I indicated 20 inches as the length or circumference, that's the length when it's folded, so 10 inches on one side, and 10 on the other. Does it fit around your head?
Thank you for this tutorial. Very well done. Although I have to say I used a weight 5 bulky instead of 6 super bulky, and it’s much looser and not as attractive a stitch. Still pretty but not like yours. ☹️
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I’ve already made 3 of them for gifts and I am working on a fourth now. I look forward to more tutorials in the future.
How wonderful! Thanks for the encouragement.
Like!! You clarified some points I had found confusing! Thanks so much!
Oh, good!

Thank you for a very thorough explanation. One of the best tutorials I’ve watched. I learned a few new things too!!!
Very clear instructions. I’m looking forward to making this.
So clear and precise, love the chain cast on and stretchy bind off. Learnt a lot. Many thanks
Fantastic!
What are the measurements of the finished band, width in particular
The video is fantastic. Thank you for your specificity. I'm going to make one tonight. I've never seen that type of cast on. Interesting.
The chain cast on is one of my favourite cast on methods.
Beautiful! Really you are a good instructor. I enjoy every bit of it. Thank you 😊 💓

Glad to hear you will try this out!
Ok… got it with the casting off… had to watch it again… thanks for the tutorial.. step by step very helpful!
Great to hear!
I followed your video and made a headband/earwarmer. It looks nice. thank you for the help. I will be watching multiple times to be able to make more.
Hope the project goes smoothly.

I'm going to use these stitches to make a hat gor my nephew. I think he'll really like it! 👍

This is the first time I have seen and heard about this. I just might try it sometime!! Very suitable method to knit ear warmers.
Hope you can give it a try! Thanks.
My first headband that actually is wearable!! Thank you for the easy tutorial.
Wonderful, thank you.
Love making it! Thank you, and you did an incredible job of explaining things!!
Appreciate that!

Thankyou so much.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Thank you I loved that double moss stitch.
Oh good!
I am a lefty so work counter clock wise. How do I bind off to the right? The bind off is very confusing.
Making tassels

I'm glad!
Very good video and easy to follow. Thank you for this pattern. I will try it today.
❤ pattern.
Hi, I like that you show us how to do your project.
Would I be able to make this a hat with a bun
In theory, yes, it's possible, but I have not tried this. It would look cool, I think.
Thank you, that was fun.

It doesn't shock me that yours is wider. People have different tension.
Wow just watch your tutorial can’t wait to try it out
Thank you.
Looks easy enough. I will try it thanks!
Excellent tutor!
Very good. Are you able to show on a rectangle loom please. Thank you
So clear. Thank you!
Will the pattern still work if I work my yarn the other way naturally to the right?
Oh yes, I just work clockwise out of habit. Feel free to work towards the right.
Yes, I work counter-clockwise to right. The cast off doesn't work for those of us who work to the right.
Great tutorial I can’t wait to try it.

For rows 1 and 2, do K K P on the last three pegs. For rows 3 and 4, do P P K. I haven't tested this, but it should work just fine.
I am using a 40 peg loom how do I do the stretchy bind off when I don't have that 1 extra peg. Can anyone help?
You can do the stretchy bindoff with any number of pegs. Start by going down peg 1, up peg 40, behind peg 1.
Very pretty pattern! love your tutorials ❤😊
Thanks for your support!
In the bind-off, Sometimes you say peg number, sometimes you say left, I am lost as I knit to the right.
Great video. You show and explain well. New subscriber here. Thank you.
Thanks!
How can i use this stitch to make a scarf plz ???

What is the loom gauge or spacing between the pegs?
Can you use the e-wrap cast on for this pattern? Having trouble getting the chain cast on loops tight
Yes, I think you could. But you would likely need to tighten it up at the end, that's all.
Hello where would I find the written pattern for this project.
Sadly this tie off method destroyed my chenille yarn and ultimately hours of work on a project... Would recommend adding for us beginners that this method will onlu work with specific yarns.
Oh shoot, sorry to hear this. This type of breakage had not occurred to me.
May I ask what the green tape on your loom is for?
I used tape to mark peg 1, but I didn't really need to since this brand of loom comes with an anchor peg. But the extra marking is more visible to me, and reminds me to start a new row.
Ohh okay, thank you! I'm just super curious I couldn't stop wondering about it lol 😋

@@hellomsyarn ook thank you 🥰 ooh yes I did
Did you do 20 rounds total on the 36 peg as well?
Yes, 20 rounds.

Hi there
Quick question...if im using the 36 peg loom, is the last stitch of each row the opposite as the one beside, like you did with the 41
I am actually not sure since I'm having trouble visualizing it at the moment. Sorry, it's been a while. If you can test it out, I'd be interested in knowing how it works out.
36 is even number so you won't need to worry about that extra odd stitch. The pattern is simply kkpp, kkpp, ppkk, ppkk for each set.
Hi, It's my first time making this and have a question. Is every round of 4 considered one set? I've done 5 sets of 4 rounds but doesn't look as wide as your video.
That's OK, everybody knits differently. When you are at the width you like, just stop and bind off.
@@hellomsyarn OK Thank you.
can #4 yarn be use ?
You could use one or two strands of #4, but since I haven't tested it, I wouldn't know about the finished circumference. I suggest that you do maybe 8 rows and see whether or not the size is suitable.
Thank you so much
Got to watch again got a little confusing with the different stitches you did
What size yarn should you use to make the ear warmer?
I used #6 super bulky.
Hihi its mee again 🤩
I will like 2 do a Scarf with the Double Moss Stitch....can u help me please.. thanks
With the Round Loom
I'm not sure if this stitch will work well. I seem to remember trying to make a scarf, and instead of being a rectangle, it was a parallelogram.
In your supply list you forgot two cats! 😂
Thanks for the great work i love it🤍🤍
Hi I just finished making the earwarmer/Headband from your Double moss stitch video and it is not 20inches/51 cm. It is only 4inches. What did I do wrong?
Do you mean that 4 inches is the width? If so, you're on the right track. The length/circumference would be 20 inches.
@@tpuglas1474 When I indicated 20 inches as the length or circumference, that's the length when it's folded, so 10 inches on one side, and 10 on the other. Does it fit around your head?
@@hellomsyarn yes it does fit my head. And I also measured both sides and they are both 10 inches.
Can you knit in the other direction?
Yes, absolutely, you can work in the other direction. I'm just used to working clockwise, personally.
@@hellomsyarn thank you. Would this work with 5 yarn?
Thank you for this tutorial. Very well done. Although I have to say I used a weight 5 bulky instead of 6 super bulky, and it’s much looser and not as attractive a stitch. Still pretty but not like yours. ☹️
Thanks for sharing. It's helpful to learn how things turn out for others.
if i use my 36 peg loom, where is the first peg?
If you have an anchor peg, and if you work clockwise like, then peg 1 could be to the left of the anchor peg. Up to you.
@@hellomsyarn oh yes~ thank you for this tutorial^^
This is a large ear warmer.
I don’t understand the binding off… confusing!
You can use either the stretchy bind off or the basic bind off.
