I had power, infra, rail l, psu banks, psu energy, metal, amc stocks in my portfolio in 2022.. I had o portfolio of 40 lakhs.. But then i started to warch ur videos and i exited from all these stocks.. But my friend didnt who also had these type of stocks.. I shifted to growth companies and my portfolio is nowhere but my friend's portfolio becomes 1.5 cr from 50 lakhs..
My PSU banks giving much better return than so called pvt bank .

You have to see where your friends portfolio does come back to 50 lacs if Government gets less seats or gets voted out or if WAR starts. All these railway psu metal stocks will go in lower circuit. BM smallcase will not fall much.

Sir My name is Zulfiqar Meghji. Just received your book Thoughtful Investor. Have been watching your you tube quite regularly. I am 60 plus just last year came back to India and now have become resident. Since now retired not much to do so have invested in the following stocks in the Feb and March L&T 100 shares styrenix performance 70 and kpit around 75 and Tata Steel 1200 and Zomato 1050 and 200 of Nhpc. And also have a small portfolio of Mutual fund sbi contra and Nippon India value, Mumbai hdfc defence doing sip and Aditya Birla logistic doing small sip. And sundaram multi asset. I the value mutual fund is around 2.7lk not much. Since just started from Jan 2024. Would appreciate your analysis on the above stocks and mutual funds. Thank you

But you say that consumer doesn't have the money with him.
So there are 2 possibilities :
1. Either you see money flowing in into the consumer sector. Where is the consumer going to get fresh money?
2. Or you foresee a correction and that's why shifting to some defensive counters.

This saving in cost will lead to further increase in disposable income which would help boost the consumption in semi urban and rural areas of the country "(refer page 126 , second paragraph) . But consumption toh Tai Tai fiss hai .

Basantji, in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections VIX went up heavily between 30-35. However this time it is diametrically opposite, VIX cooled down, looks like Market itself has already voted and it knows without any doubt what is there. Sir What I have observed that the stock selection is more oriented towards capital protection rather than returns. Many stocks with good fundas have risen 2-3 x such as BSE, MCX, Trent, zomato etc. But these do not qualify your selection criteria. Do you think My observation has any sense.
