Great Review Roy. I really appreciate all your comments. Your feedback as a user is super important me. Yes we’re working on a smaller square and a lower cost entry level square also. Thanks for keeping a real and honest review. Jason

@@ChristCenteredIronworks I agree Roy! I am just short of another monster Fab set to finish my set of four of each. I am today going to build a stand for them or try to build a stand for them. I was on here looking for ideas. So I thought I would comment and tell you Merry Christmas to you and Jason.

Being able to bolt V-blocks on would be a game changer.

Great review. Unfortunately I have already purchased a mega and now a magic square before seeing this review but if i hadn't your review would have really helped. I have wasted more money trying to find cheaper alternatives to these squares in the past and wish i would have just bought these from the get go. As you have already stated, these squares will last a lifetime so the money I have spent purchasing these have been well worth it. Have a blessed day!

I have two of these squares and found out that they work great for squaring up woodworking projects as well.

I agree about the need for a set of smaller squares. I'll buy a set as soon as they are available. I'm wishing Jason and his company were around earlier in my working career instead of the twilight. And I guess I'm a little upset I didn't think of this product myself. I'd give up a lot of tools before I'd give up my Fireball squares.

I appreciate and agree with what you said about the squares as with the other products in their shop and I will buy them because I consider it a right purchase to make - I am a hobbyist and sooner or later they are needed in the garage, they could have revised something on the price, you have to accept their opinion marketing idea; for example I am very interested in the Dragon Wagon, 1350×750 mm cost €. 3,000.00 and it's a nice sum I understand very well the value of the table after I saw a video of Jason where he explains the difference, but honestly I hope they revise something about the final price and that together with the purchase they give something useful together with for example some squares that they are useful, what can I say if you want quality you have to pay for it, greetings from Italy and good work and also to James if he is reading this message

I just received a pair of Minions from FireBall Tool. Super excited but I agree it would be helpful to have a v block attachment for round stock.

I too have been thinking about buying these squares. I haven’t checked his site in a while, but at one time he had some tab and slot weld up kits that were very reasonably priced. Thank for sharing your thoughts!

Nice review. Do you know if these squares are square in all three dimensions (are the faces perfectly square to the back)? I suspect that they are, but you didn't mention that. I don't think that would be quite as important with a fireplace frame, but I could see other situations where it would be more important.
Also, I think it would be nice to have taped holes in the center where the reference tabs could be kept in situations where you needed them completely out of the way. I don't think that would be often (maybe just while sitting on the shelf), but it would be a nice feature.

As soon as you can afford these squares especially if you weld a lot I would buy them in a heartbeat. I know what it's like to be broke too so use what you got until you can buy better. God bless you and thank you for taking the time to watch.

Hi roy im still learning about fabbing
But im curious as to why in this fab set there is 2 right angles and 2 of the original fireball square...
What is the purpose of the right angle triangle one and the original type square? Pros and cons? If that makes sense?because the way I see it... the original type ocotogan looking square does right angles and 45s too... just like the triangle type one? Why not just buy 2 of the original type ones ?
Btw I just bought this fab pack to australia -650USD POSTED.
But now thinking I probly didnt need the four of them I dont think as the original square does the same purpose as the triangle type square? Am i seeing this right ? God bless you.

I have an 8" mega and I'm here trying to decide if I want the monster or another mega(square) I need another 6 inch to fit smaller spaces. The monster(triangle) does have a much larger reference face for equal size. It doesn't do outside corners though. Both do 45 though so it's a really hard decision
Just realized something that made my decision. If you already have a weld or tack in the bottom inside corner, the triangle one isn't going to work since it doesn't have a corner gap. That really limits the uses I think. I'll be getting a 6" mega

.. It takes you a WHOLE day to get setup to make 4 welds, and you go for the $$$ option??? come on man. You know you can make 'reference' tabs with a vice/clamp and some scrap? how does working with these compare with using a good old magnet triangle? especially if you have a real shop with a flat table?... I dont see the $$$$ in these compared to $5 FleaBay magnet squares.... ?
