- Quickly make a bunch of die cuts for embellishments using thin dies in your SIzzix Sidekick. Yes it is possible to mass make die cuts with Tim Holtz Sizzix Sidekick by converting 12" long Decorative Strip Cutting Pads to use with Thinlits dies!

I had to click on this! I just got y sidekick today and I’m so excited. I was happy to get it for 14 bucks at hobby Bobby with the big craft clearance going on but I have lots of flowers and my pie dies from spellbinders I’m excited to use with this little baby this weekend!

@@paperkraftd1 Oh I picked up another great trick today watching a Dreaming Tree video. If you haven't gone to their site you should as they have a ton of freebie projects to do.
If you find you have a gap when gluing something down, get a thin scrap piece of paper and put glue on the end of it, then slip it inside the gap and press. Worked like a charm watching the guy. They show you a video for every project they have.

I wish you'd show how to color these wildflowers.
If you're still using the original red sidekick, order the new pads to use the thinlets dies
New pads? U mean the foam in the dies? Have u used your dies without the foam?
Thanks for the tip. I’m using the TH version, not the original red, but this may help some folks. Do they make the long thinlet cutting plates for the sidekick? The long plates are great for mass making. In this video I just tried to use what I had on hand and experimented with a sandwich that worked quickly for mass making.
I just ordered a Sizzix Sidekick, do you know if I can use other brands of dies for this machine. The dies look pretty small in the picture. Any help would be appreciated. I keep looking up video's on these dies but still have no answers.
Yes! You can absolutely use other manufacturers’ dies and embossing folders in the sidekick - you just need to make sure they aren’t too wide. I think they need to be 2 1/2” wide or less. Hope that helps.
What is that white foam in your dies?-
Honestly, I’m not sure what you mean. Sorry 🤷🏻♀️. Are you talking about the parchment paper I used as a release paper to help with mass making?
When using wax paper, do you put wax side up or down (or does it matter)? I just got a sidekick in the mail and I like this idea! TYFS! New subbie here Michigan ❤️🦋💜

Your content is just terrific and your gave us so many great tips for doing this. I was really distracted by the way you hesitate in your speech and throw in a lot of "ums". Maybe be a little bit more rehearsed and sure of what you will say and how you will present the steps will help. Thank you so much for showing us this process.
I’m glad you found the video helpful! This is one of my older videos, so hopefully I’ve improved a bit on the distracting ‘ums.’ For an amateur, who doesn’t get paid to do this, I script and edit as much as I can, but I am definitely human and fallible 😂 I always appreciate the feedback, though.
