Good lighting is an art; it can be difficult to achieve "just right". Motivated lighting makes it easier to be a little "off," I think. You have some leeway: a stop or two too bright or too dark? It's forgivable because it's believable.
thanks for the added info. One question is do they sell the CF100 as a combo or with a protective bag like the Fiveray f100?
They give you a storage bag in the standard package. It's pretty thin and not really going to do much protecting for the light unfortunately
