Thank you. Since this amp is not a shelf-queen, but a working piece for the owner... I just wanted to be thorough in maximizing the reliability. The last thing I want is for a transformer to go up in smoke because of a "jelly bean" part that was left to rot.

Unusual to see one of those blue 'Molded' caps go faulty, but it obviously does happen! Bugger!
Good to see the way you rewired the mains to the power switch first. That way, when the amp is switched off, it is completely off, with no mains beyond the switch. I've never ever seen a mains switch shorted to earth anyway!
    Good job DK!

I just wanted to be thorough. The weirdest thing to me was the 1.5k resistors. ALL of them measured 2.2k or higher except one. The bypass caps to the grids on the power tubes were changed as insurance... I used a 630v cap. All of the old parts (many of which are indeed quite faulty) are returned to the customer in a bag... so if I stole the magic mojo........ it's in there waiting to be re-instated. Since this amp is to be played regularly, I wanted to lean toward reliability.

Nice job. Still curious why the hole was drilled through the logo? Some mysteries will never be solved.
