Oregon and OSU shouldnt have been playing in the rose bowl. The entire bracket was a gift for the SEC. And they still failed. We deserved to see Oregon and Ohio State in the Natty when both are rolling vs other top teams. Oregon looked so rusty in that rose bowl game. Thats on the coaches, though. It was actually unbelievable watching that game.

Surprised Oregon fans aren't claiming that IF this season was before the BCS started in 1998 they would have won the title. Incidentally 1997 was the last year previous to last year that Michigan could claim a title, albeit a shared title with Nebraska. OSU has since won titles in 2002 and 2014.

I would say OSU had the best season. It is the linchpin for getting 4 teams into the college football playoff. Think about it: Bama, LSU and OSU were the only teams winning both a CBS and 4-team playoff title. OSU going 10-2 signaled to the CFP committee to take Indiana. OSU getting to the championship signals to the Committee to pick 4 Big 10 teams again later this year.

Crazy that OS finished 4th in the BIG.

3:06 No we do not. Ohio State will be the ONLY FBS team to win the BCS, 4-team and 12-team titles. Look even 2021 Georgia lost the SEC championship to Alabama and won the rematch in the 2021 Natty. When OSU wins, it will be the second time this decade that a national champion did not win its conference.

You are forgetting about 2017 Alabama, who didn't even play in their conference championship (UGA & Auburn) but beat UGA in the title game.

Kurt Barton of "Buckeye Scoop" who won 4 pairs of "Gold pants" and was an all-American OT at OSU states that he would give all that away for a championship ring. If OSU loses, Oregon would have had the best season.

    Regular Season: Oregon
    Post Season: Obviously OSU
PSU just kind of did what everyone expected them to do for years with the opportunity in an expanded playoff. Maybe made it further than some expected in their first run but if we’re being honest they got an easy draw up to ND.

People are arguably going to say Ohio State, but that's not true. They lost to both Oregon and Michigan in the regular season and missed the Big 10 Championship. Oregon, in their first year of the conference, not only beat Ohio State but also went 13-0, beating the main titans of the conference. The Rose Bowl was a beat down, yes,but to win this conference in the first season, to me, speaks volumes about the team and was a resounding success. Not championship ready yet,but they will get there.

True, but if OSU wins the title, that kind of trumps winning the Big Ten sadly.

Would you prefer to have Oregon's season exactly how it went or swap their season with Ohio state's? If OSU wins the title then I don't think anyone out there that isn't coping would say they'd be happier with Oregon's season

Ohio State has already won a Rose Bowl & Cotton Bowl. I think 2 NY6 bowls r better than 1 conference title. Especially since Ohio State had to play Oregon, PSU, Indiana & Michigan while they all dodged each other besides Michigan playing Indiana & Oregon. Mega conferences r dumb & unbalanced, Ohio State’s regular season SOS may as well have been a different league than Indiana who technically finished ahead of them in conference standings

And Jim harbaugh is the definition of a Michigan man. He spent half a decade losing and whining and only started winning once he started cheating and as soon as he got caught he ran away to the nfl and left the mess for someone else to clean up. What a great dude
