Love seeing it go from a piece of metal to something useful-thanks for sharing!

Great copper working methods. Fun metal to play around with.

I just found you and I loved your video. I have been wanting to do some cooper boxes, but until now, I didn’t know how. Thank you! You have inspired me.

You're so welcome! Make those copper boxes! It really just comes down to the math and how tight you can get those sides and corners. You'll do great!

Thanks for a good video. I've been making tiny copper hinge-lid boxes for a couple of years and was looking for other patterns and alternate ways of folding and soldering the sides. Now, on to Part 2 ♥

The height of the sides looked really good. A small Box and Pan break would make the side folds a lot easier. The problem with most of the China made machines is a very limited depth of fold. Waiting for video #2. Yea old copper Smith in Rockford.

A box and pan break would be awesome - Bob has one in his tin shop, and I covet it!

This is basic "roofing" copper, so 26gauge / 12oz

If you did the longest sides last you would avoid to squeeze your folding and make it easier for you to put in your attachment

Thank you! Will try that next time I do a box! I always like experimenting with new ways of building. :)
