These are all so cute. If the beanie baby really bothers you, you could always glue on some little felt ears. I'm sure it would still fit inside the popple.
I played with ALL of these guys! Wow! I fondly remember all of these characters. The little blonde Little Person girl was my favorite - though I liked the others too, even the dog! And I definitely had a Popple - can't believe someone else remembers these.
I actually love the beanie baby, he looks so cute and derpy! :3 Also I appreciate that you pay so much attention to things like sanding them so that they fit together well, with some other art and craft youtubers those things always bother me😆
i love it! i played with all those toys. i loved my popple, troll toys, and glo worm! i played with the little people airport and plane but i could only find the dolls at church. and you are right, i didn't play with the beanie babies. they were just displayed lol
Just want you to know I said "hell yeah" as soon as you mentioned Popples. I had a beloved Popple too, the little purple one (Pretty Bit I think). Wonderful video, you made them so cute!
We must be similar in age. I didn't have all of them, but I recognized all of them except the Popples. My Nana had the old set of Little People we would play with at her house. Loving this nostalgia! P.S. I still really like the bear.
Omg. This was such a cool idea! “Memory Dolls” for nesting dolls. Love that. I also played with these things but some were after I was a bit older. I collected soooo many trolls and beanie babies. I painted a set of four trolls on square canvases and I painted their hair just like you did! **Fun fact: Remember how some of them had themes? Well for two Halloweens I dressed like a Troll. Both times using my actual hair and spray painting it pink with a TON of hair spray. The second time I was a breast cancer awareness troll wearing scrubs and with pink hair. 😀.
@@RoseRequinCrafts I love when that happens. It helps me to be creative. Oh…. I have several of the wood things you showed. The frames. The wood circles etc. I love painting on wood. I’m not sure why it’s just one of those things I suppose. OMG I just thought of something. If I had the blank nesting dolls I could have made “Nesting Kids on the Block”. Lol! 😀
Hi, I'm Phoebe, and I'm a craft/art/creative supply hoarder too. ... And I have a very similar nesting doll set. That I've had for several years... and I finally got around to giving them a coat of Gesso a month or so ago.... and they're still sitting there, waiting for me to finish. I'm still trying to figure out what their theme will be. Anyway, you did great on your set.... and it was a fun video. 😃👍 I remember each of the toys you painted.(including the Popples - I loved the cartoon)... I didn't have any of them as a kid, but friends and cousins DID have them... and later in life, I was given a few Beanie Babies.... (that I still have)... And I have the Peace Bear, I have a normal size one, and the tiny one, Plus I have the Dove one.
They are so cute!! 💞 You and my oldest daughter are of similar vintage as these were her toys as well!! 😍 She had a glow worm as a baby - it used to scare her awake... It didn't go in the crib anymore. 😅 I hated the original trolls. 🤦♀️ The naked doll thing was not my thing for my precious little girl... 😉 I adore the new ones, though!! 💖 Little people have been a staple throughout my life from my niece and nephew through all of my kids!! 🥰 I adore them!! ❤️ They had to change the original ones as they were choking hazards. Definite nostalgia with them!! 👍 I think the only way to make the bear really look like a bear would be to add felt ears... But I love the colors!!🌈
He was like a teddy ruxbin but he was a baby in blue pajamas and his face lit up and he told bedtime stories I loved him so much and slept with him longer than I'm willing to admit as well 😂
I remember popples. I never had one, but I remember them being a very popular items and I am sure I wanted one too. I have those same plastic tip markers and I will admit that they sit in a drawer and never get used. I am not a fan of plastic tips either. I find a lot of the really fine paint markers to be frustrating to use, even the poscas.
Honestly I think the Beanie Baby turned out cute! I think you had a specific look in mind when you started and your finished piece didn’t match what you had in your head. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t cute!
I have a wooden collextion of items myself. I have a hard time walking past the unfinished wood swxtionsin stores and not picking something up. I have a drawer full to do also.
Also, I just know these to be matryoshka, had no idea you could just call them “Nesting Dolls”. I suppose the latter is more suited for when they’re not actually made by Eastern Europeans. :P
@@RoseRequinCrafts 😆😆 YES!! So after a Google search, they look like a chubby rolly-Polly little people. I definitely had your version tho… with the blue teapot for some reason 😆
I know you're not a fan of the beanie baby but I'm absolutely obsessed with him....beloved....
The little sound that plays after hi friends with the fingers, it tickles my brain in the best way. Asmr could never

I swear, artists are their own critics bc all these came out fabulous!!!! Very nostalgic ❤

At the beginning of the video I was like NOOOO THEY'RE GONNA STICK TOGETHER and was very happy she sanded as well 😅
Its like seeing my childhood as nesting dolls! You are really talented the are perfect!
The beanie baby is my favorite!!
Nostalgia! I love them all, they are very spot on. Gotta love the Treasure Troll
I love popples, I've still got mine, he stays on the bed and I'm 42, and still gets lots of cuddles! Mine is Puffball. ❤
Mine used to live on my bed until....dogs.
They are all recognizable....I love the troll but Prize Popple is my favorite! You did a wonderful job! 💕💕
Thank you so much 😀
I had party Popple and a few mini pocket popples. We played with all of these toys when I was little.

I think the beanie baby looks fantastic!!! I would know what it is immediately ♥️
🥰
😂 I’m 38 and I still have my glow worm! I agree with you, they ruined the face.
the popple is so cute!!
Loved all.of them

🤣 So many forgotten memories have come up in the last week of stuff from when I was a kid.

I think I had this set for at least year before I ever worked on it. So you're in good company. 😀
🙃😉😃
I had and loved all of these toys when I was a kid in the 80s!
😍
Hi! You did an absolutely fantastic job with these!!! I love them!
Thank you so much!
These turned out sooo stinkin' cute!
Thank you!
Geriatric turtle 😂😂😂 I'm rolling!
I still have a mini Popple! It is the purple and pink one on the bottom right of the image you used. 😄

My neice is obsessed with the newest little people.
@@RoseRequinCrafts Agreed!! 🤣
Yay! Been waiting for you to put out a new video!
We must be around the same age because all of these toys were my childhood.
Based on your screen name, I'm guessing we're EXACTLY the same age.
I ABSOLUTELY loved your version of the nesting dolls, such an AWESOME idea!
Thank you so much!
They are so so cute!
cute i like the idea of these
Those things you hoarded to paint on… I really felt like just snatching over half of these for myself. LOL
You must be around my age! I had the same toys when I was little. Lol
Awesome
You are awesome !! I love them
🥰 Thank you!
I have the same popple you do!
I had all of these lol. My toy that I was obsessed with that nobody ever knows was dozy.
I've never heard of that one either, lol.
He was like a teddy ruxbin but he was a baby in blue pajamas and his face lit up and he told bedtime stories I loved him so much and slept with him longer than I'm willing to admit as well 😂
@mirandaperkins3244 My grandma had a Teddy Ruxbin that we weren't allowed to play with and I was OBSESSED!
These turned out great! Love the troll
Thank you!
Love these! I had Potato Chip Popple!
So cute!
I love the idea and love them all even the beanie baby looks good. I could tell what it is! I so want to make my top 5 favorite toys lol
You definitely should! It's so nostalgic. 🥰

Yes! Its so hard to find a really fine tip marker without that dumb plastic tip. Doesn't matter the brand, that tip sucks.
Spice Girls 😂😂 that’s hilarious.

Thank you so much! I'm always my own worst critic, but I still love my less than perfect creations. 😆
I loved this!!
I had pancake popple!
I have a wooden collextion of items myself. I have a hard time walking past the unfinished wood swxtionsin stores and not picking something up. I have a drawer full to do also.
I know! So much potential!
I know this is an older video now, but what varnish did you use? It’s so smooth and shiny!
I use Liquitex varnish and I usually do at least a couple coats
Also, I just know these to be matryoshka, had no idea you could just call them “Nesting Dolls”. I suppose the latter is more suited for when they’re not actually made by Eastern Europeans. :P
Yeah, I've heard them called Russian Nesting Dolls too
Surprise, there is a parasite inside. 😂😂 I laughed so hard that my dog got concerned 😅
Gods I haven't heard anyone talk about Popples in ages. Then again, no one talks about the Snorks anymore except me, I think..
I'm from the 1900s 🤣🤣
@@RoseRequinCrafts My soul dies a little every time I see that. XD I too am from the 1900's though.
🪆
By the way they are not nesting dolls they are actually Russian dolls soo yah
Hate ta break it to ya, but try tossing "nesting doll" in google image search.
I called your“little people” - weebles … I thought that’s what they’re called.
I don't remember what Weebles actually looked like. I just remember the commercial "Weebles, wobble, but they don't fall down!"
@@RoseRequinCrafts 😆😆 YES!!
