Immigration can be a benefit, but that is only if the immigrants are productive, from a high trust society, and can contribute to society. Not all immigrants are equal and for the Left, this is a heretical idea, thus their open the door wide and let them all in policy.

Mass immigration has degraded EVERY aspect of our quality of life ...health services, school places, gridlock roads, excess sewerage in rivers and seas, more crime, lack of prison places, rent increases, house price increasing, lack of available housing, local council money spent on benefits rather than services, council tax increase, water shortages in summer, wages kept low etc etc etc..not one single benefit!

Interestingly, the homeless camp nearest me are all Aussies - apparently the millions of imports have been found accommodation.

Simon is right. As a landlord of nearly 30 years, I can tell you rents are through the roof. This is the result of demand. The demand is the result of immigration also being through the roof. This has been obvious for a very long time.
The left does know it has been wrong about this. But their answer has been to demand the building of more houses.
Of course few on the left have any practical experience in this area. They know nothing about the overwhelming and prohibitive volumes of capital, materials, land and labour that such projects involve. Even less about the consequences of the loss of swathes of high quality farmland.
They are like children in terms of their grasp on all the issues. Their world is simple

    • @hplovecraft1402
      @hplovecraft1402 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

They also fail to grasp that uncontrolled mass housing erection would be disastrous to another holy grail of theirs which is loss of habitat for wildlife & damage to environment due to all the land needed to build that many houses. You can't have ultra mass migration & pretend you care about the environment and wildlife habitat. Only so much space available. Sure you can build up & destroy birds flight path. Create ugly landscapes to demoralise peoples mental heath even more. Then that kind of dystopian metropolis creates additional traffic fumes/manufacturing fumes/waste (toilet) disposal et al. I personally want to keep as much natural beauty as possible which can be done with controlled immigration on a level even slightly about net neutral but not 100'000's more incomings then outgoings.

Pretty much all the problem we see today have been either caused by or made much worse by uncontrolled immigration over the past 20 years. As pointed out us normal folk have known this for years but were not allowed to talk about it, but now it is so bad it's impossible for the elites to ignore because even they are being impacted by it. Mass immigration is the mechanism that has driven up house prices, but the problem is that the government has run the economy on house price inflation for decades leaving the current generation forking over most of their income to pay for accomodation. It is like the whole country put its spending on credit cards and the bill has just come in.
Economists have been warning about the build up of problems in this debt-driven economy, but the government just goes on pushing measures to keep people buying property.

Coupled with policies like carbon taxes, forced urban density, much higher taxes are making it obvious that our elites are determined to lower the general standard of living. Asylum, a very small list of dangerous countries. No asylum from safe countries. On the next flight home. When a country becomes safe a grace period to sort yourself out.
For economic migrants, its far easier. A minimum tax code of 40K a year for each adult. That's close to break even. A tad more than average wage because there is a deficit.
Taxed at source, the money rolls in at the end of the month. Of course you have to fill out a tax form or you commit a crime. See above. You get a month to make up the short fall, or its the single justice system and you get that criminal conviction for tax evasion.

Exactly the same BS going on here in Australia. Australians living on the street and half a million immigrants arriving & suddenly there's a housing crisis. They're not a "good fit" either they seem to hate the place. Enoch Powell was right!

Not just immigration it's also foreigners being allowed to buy property with no intention of living there. This happens in Australia with Chinese investors buying and out bidding other Chinese and locals. Foreign ownership must be banned .

Our daughters, and all of our children and their descendants need to be able to grow up in a country which is safe, homogeneous, and high-trust. A country in which we, the peoples of Britain, dictate our own affairs and our own destiny, rather than traitors and parasites who serve megalomaniacal foreign psychopaths who despise us. And above all, a country which simply feels like home. A country which is genuinely ours, as it ought to be. ❤

I've just had an interaction with the police. Walking my daughter to her after school class. Someone on a moped is stuck in traffic. Their solution, mount the pavement, drive at us to avoid the blockage.
It escalates. The police arrive. 10 of them. Whilst the 'discussion' is going on, 5 cyclist just cycle at the police and us, on the pavement. When the police are challenged, ah yes, they can't deal with it.
4 of them were officers on training, there to 'watch'. Why didn't the instructor show them how its done?
As a consequence the superintendent in charge has had a little reminder. 2 months ago I went to the MP, he wrote to the super. The super said the police would be in touch. After 6 weeks nothing. So I left a message on 101 saying given the delay I want a face to face on site. A PC rang. Problem is the PC has no remit to do anything, and I'm not going to listen to a load of copsplaining. I've heard it all and more.
So one option, he's asked them to get in contact and they haven't Or he didn't bother. I think its 60% the first 40% the second.
But he's got a reminder and hint, I don't mess around and rudeness is the easy slam dunk of a complaint. Schedule 3 its on his employment record. Plus the proportionate outcome? That meeting in person to show them what a horlicks they are making.
[1200 offences an hour at one junction]
It's not safe and its not high trust. You are right in demanding it. But with the state of Westminster, nothing will be done.

It takes nothing to be called a racist these days . I was called one about 20 years ago coz I used the the phrase "floundering in the darkness" . After I'd picked my jaw up from the floor , I asked my accuser why he considered the phrase racist . He explained that I had put a negative connotation on the word "dark" ...... a touch oversensitive about colour , I think!
