    Hi!
    South Africa has come a long way when it comes to easy ways for an ordinary citizen to invest, two of my favourite investment platforms are Fran app and EasyEquities. On this video I will be comparing the two platforms to help you decide.

    I think I’m a bit biased with Easy equities than Franc. I invested in SATRIX top 40 on both platforms, easy equities pays out dividends on this ETF but Franc doesn’t. But I guess like you said there should be an intention in investing in Franc. I just think for me, I chose franc just to diversify my portfolio. I think both should be explored.

    • @JennNxumalo
      @JennNxumalo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both definitely have to be explored, are you sure the Satrix top 40 gave you dividends bcs I also have it on EE but it does not. I get dividends from Satrix Div instead of top 40.
      I do feel that Franc is more for someone who is not used to investing and saving and really wants to without thinking so much about it. Eventually one can graduate to EE when they understand how to pic assets and the market.

    • @neomokhomo
      @neomokhomo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JennNxumalo yes I did get top 40 dividends yesterday. But it was from my TFSA account and not the ZAR account.
      You’re definitely right! Maybe I could use the Franc investing as an “emergency fund” instead.

      It means you did not specify your investment strategy. It’s impossible to loose your principal investment unless you withdraw when the market is down. You must go on your account, on the orange box click EDIT, choose edit investment strategy, then scroll till you get go custom, move the green thing till it give you 100% on money market.

    Hey Jennifer, I also love the Franc app. I chose the emergency fund but now I also want to invest in the property goal through Franc.
    My question is,
    Does franc make it possible for me to save/invest with two goals using one app?
    Or do I have to download another app, have one for emergency and one for properly?

    • @JennNxumalo

      I also had that question, I will try to find out more information in the app from Franc team. But it does not look like you can have more than one goal in one profile. I also do not know if you can create multiple accounts besides dependants. I will try to get more info and put together a video once I have reliable answers.
