I have an Ariel Rider Grizzly torquey hill climber - dual battery, motor & suspension. I purchased it around mid summer & liked it so much I got a second one for my gf. We spent almost every weekend riding the extensive bike paths around the Columbia River NCW with all the bridges & tunnels specifically designed for bikes. After long rides from southern most part to farthest north point & back to center (approx. 20 miles) we would end up at different outdoor eatery type establishments w great food & drink. E bikes have been an excellent way to get out & experience life. We are both in our mid 50s btw so never to late to get started.
In the past, I've bought decoy stickers that say, "This bike has a GPS tracker." I also purchased a little stick-on blinking red light (again fake, but available on eBay). I also bought a little security system that consisted of a motion sensor, and it sounded an alarm when moved even slightly. It comes with a key fob. I think these are all effective deterrents.
i have Aniioki aq177 pro max and I'm 6'2" 375 lbs and the bike effortlessly hauls my rear everywhere. it is tough and rugged, note on steep incline due to my weight i cannot throttle my way up. Rang is phenomenal. awsome bike.
This is really interesting because the specs did not seem to align with California's restrictions on.... well pretty much everything! But.. As of 2023 in the state, Class three is fine as long as your over 16, as long as it tops out at 28mph, and power is limited to 1000 watts. This thing really hits the sweet spot! Freaking cool.
Ebike fires... yup they happen. Almost always when using knock off chargers or batteries and when people overcharge... sometimes in extreme temps. It is recommended to charge them on timers while you are present. If I was charging one... I would do it in a room I am in... on a cart so I can push it outside just in case. I think they will make them safer in time... like a LiFePO4 battery. That is tricky tho... lithium iron phosphate batteries don't discharge in the same way... they are also heavy... but way safer. It is something to keep in mind and take precautions with. Some charge them in a ammo can because it is fire resistant... I have no idea tho. Research it if you are interested.
Hi. Love your channel. I heard you say on another video that you were going to compare and disclose your favorite power bank. If possible can you do it before black friday so we can get a great deal? I totally appreciate your advice on them. There is so much to compare. Thank you. Hi to the pups!
Woah! Power and range is impressive! Gave me a "WHAT IF" thought -- what if they had a two-wheel trailer that could hold at least 4 milk crates (sq-footage wise) with 100-ish+ lbs in cargo capacity *and* the trailer could mount another battery that could connect via cable to account for the additional rolling-weight so you don't lose any range? Reason this pops to mind is that, more than a pleasure bike, I'd like a working bike to go get groceries/shopping/stuff. Wishful thinking?
I have been riding an ebike for 18 years. The tech has not improved much beyond the change from Sealed Lead Acid batteries to Lithium. The motor tech is still spinning electro magnets around a fixed magnet with a 3 phase dc controller, with a crappy plastic thumb throttle or a twist throttle. FOR 18 years not much has happened. Yes, The RFID key is very cool and somewhat innovative. Is there anything else that I may have missed that would be considered an improvement? Range? Nah, the batterie cells in the battery box are still the same as the ones in your 2013 laptop albeit with tiny improvements over 10 years. I have a rage of over 300 miles on my ebike. I have one 1200 watt battery, one 900 watt, and 4) 800 watt batteries. Range is simply that.. more batteries and of course the space to put them. @@PrepperPrincess
I saw a senior citizen riding an e-bike and wondered if he was strong enough to pull it up from the ground if the bike fell over on the side. So the bike's weight is a factor.. yikes --- 112 pounds.
@@PrepperPrincess it's a big tire but if I were traveling a long way at all I'd probably pack tire tube n repair kit just in case... which is what we do with our current e-bikes. Also, wish we would have e gotten ourselves same kind of bike so we would only have to pack 1 set of tire & tube... We pop our battery off and place it in our backpack and have metal heavy rope lock for when we go in somewhere to shop or eat. Really love this new bike you are introducing us to. It's the best really for most people. I bought an "assist" and regret it. I'm 65
The only company that stick to their range estimate is Riese & Müller; feel free to discount 25-50% off the range of any other companies out there. You'll pay dearly for a Riese & Müller, as much as an economy car; but you'll get honest range.
Stay away, worst customer service ever, they don't even bother to reply, I ordered AQ177 Pro Max on 2nd October 2023 and two and a half months later they still haven't delivered anything.
When you say easy to assemble, im not sure what your mechanical skills are already. Would you say the instructions are clear and a regular woman that only has lifetime skills of assembling furniture periodically etc? Lol. Thanks in advance
@@PrepperPrincess Me neither... These Chinese bikes may take some personal re-engineering to keep them running... That's half the fun in riding them! Lotsa great upgrades available...!
A key for the battery to take off and another key to swipe to start the ebike. I like that feature.

Awesome set of wheels to throw into my bugout camper, Love It! But gotta remember solar/battery, off-grid equip for recharging...
Love the tree-Lind roads in your neighborhood
If you like sleeping at night don’t search lithium battery fires.
Luckily the batteries in the Aniioki are UL certified. Still a concern, though
@@graphingwhale4585 I think they are not UL certified, not the 60 ah battery

Freaking cool.
The Aniioki bike has cruise control. Look it up in the manual.
"yep it dose" Note: cool perk if you peddle faster than the cruise control it will not disengage, once you slow down enough it is really noticeable.
Hi Prepper Princess glad you are enjoying your new e-bike. It has a great speed. Stay well and safe 👍🎃😀

I love this. Prepper Princess please be careful out there. Your a beautiful young lady and your face is flawless. Need to be model.
Love your doggies so much❣️

It would be interesting to be able to copy the NFC code to a smartphone or smart watch.

I have one that I have carried 120lbs for 40 miles as a test. Just about any trailer will do that.
Damn, I'm still too short for these bikes.
Me too 😂...they gotta make a model for us "Hobbits"
Me as well & I'm 5.4 . Not a hobbit either

Sounds like a lot but it’s not that bad. It’s 1/4 the weight of a motorcycle but rides just like one
What do you consider a senior citizen? I’m 73 and can easily lift my AQ177 on the car bike rack rather than using the ramp.
why didn't you mention that there are no pegs for the passenger?
Do you get to keep the bikes? I hope so!
Yes.
Prepper, is it possible some of those intersections were kinda “slowdowns”…
Are tire changes on this model comparable to changing a tire or a tube on a bicycle?
Yes

What model was this?
Aniioki AQ177
Nothing on that website shows any models going 200 miles on a charge? Which one are you talking about?
Specs say something about PAS mode range is 200+ miles. Not sure what PAS mode is.
Pedal assist

Beep beep ❤
where do u store the e bike...can u leave it in the house or not....due to explosion of the battery causing a house fire
fun

You can do it. Basically, Mount handlebars, Flip it upside down and put the front tire on... No big deal
I don’t even read the instructions anymore
