Vergillius shattering the allegations, and Dante learning the superpower of Hokma Balls. This was just a good Canto in general.
So far this has been the canto of all time!

I have never before felt a comment in my soul as tremendously as I have with this one.
if you told me that vergillius would complete a dungeon for you after saving heathcliff and then directly after dante would manifest his big hokma energy to slow time while i was playing through canto II i wouldn't believe a thing you said
It's going to be very hard for PM to beat this Canto. There was just...so much amazeness to be had in this one.
And we'll all say that again when Don Quixote's Canto ends.... and I cannot wait
I love moments like this in story's when a super powerful character shows why they're so strong. And it works really well here with how much world building the city has the world building helps put in perspective how absurdly powerful characters like virgilius are.
i honestly dont know how they are going to top this. i was literally unable to play for a while because of how i was just in shock with each reveal and twist, and if this is what they can do now i cant wait to see what they can do for dons canto :0
as usual great video :0
This moment definately has me hyped for what we can expect in Canto 7!
@@Renard_Cross whatever it is will be the best canto, just cos don, don makes everything better
(faust will die for two cantos then be revived in canto 10)
@@dualfighter1 we shall see don's reality shatter and either she will distort , attack us and manifest ego and attack us or manifest ego and attack us and then distort and attack us with the power of the 7 don souls

THE GOAT!!!
And here we go. The Vergilius Apology Form will remain unsigned. For that to change, first we need an explanation for just why Vergilius knew we needed the help, and I always thought the thing was that he was guarding the bus, so did he just decide not to do that with any assurance? Second, he needs actual stats. Cutscene power is just lame, and it's pretty likely that we will eventually fight enemies and obtain ID at the color level, but if they aren't comparable then this Vergilius might as well be a fake. Of course, they kept his stats hidden probably for the very reason that they would otherwise be setting a bar for the end game.
And I mean, this was clearly shoehorned in. Is it not telling that right after they run into the exact same problem, but now Dante has his moment which is far more important? They could literally do that then and it would achieve the exact same goal of allowing them to outrun the enemies.
The stats are hidden but they have already mined it (they are bonkers) - see the wiki for his +20 3 Coin S1
Also what is too say that dante uses his power and then during the fight (from the various they have) the wild hunt doesnt catch up?
@@anannoyingweeb359 Yes, but the point is that they *want* to hide it. They don't want this to be known as Virgilius' official strength, most likely because they aren't sure whether or not it is balanced for the endgame they probably don't yet even have in mind. After all, loads of things get balanced and rebalanced already, and it wouldn't look good if this Virgilius ended up being ridiculously powerful or embarrassingly weak. But with the "???" they can say "Well narratively at this point he's supposed to *feel* this powerful relative to what the players *should* be at that point in the game." It is, quite frankly, a cop-out.
Well the writers and narrative is what's to say. We know they would not have the cast fail there, the only question is how they overcome it. My point is in regards to the meta, Virgilius' rescue is clearly a forced insertion into the narrative. If it wasn't then they wouldn't run into literally the exact same problem one cutscene later, which means meta-wise for the narrative Virgilius solved nothing as the problem persisted. I mean, doesn't it strike you the least bit clunky that Dante learns this new power not during his moment of greatest need in such a narratively important location, but after being bailed out initially and then doing it in some random hallway? Since you still have to fight enemies after anyways it doesn't make a difference gameplay-wise for the player being slowed down by encounters. Narratively speaking the effectiveness and the time saved is entirely arbitrary, which means even if the player unlocked the power earlier they would still confront Irkliff precisely when the plot means for them to.
@@vadandrumist1670 On my first playthrough it didnt feel clunky for dante to unlock power after being saved by Verg, as I didn't even expect them to unlock power and just went it makes sense for them to have power. Now in relation to pacing, it feels a tinge clunky, but it feel in character for him. Dante for has come from one inactive character swept by sinners and others to a more active character since canto III with increasing growth (III n' IV they just cared emotionally and wanted to do something; V they got stabbed and put in direct peril/almost immenent death) but those moment of action were not because of the mission or smt but his care of the bus gang as he sees them as family (Iirc they literally said that on this canto) so he unlocking his power now of all times after "putting" (It was cathy) Heath back to his senses, being affronted by villain deus exmachina (the sudden ressurection giving erlking the wild hunt - how ressurecting one guy brings infinite?) and then being deus exmachined himself, the last sacrifing his contract rewards makes sense. They are on a point where they cannot fail and they compelled to action once again. - more like unstopable force (verg) vs immovable object (wild hunt) instead of deus exmachina.
Gameplay wise I think that as said they did hide vergs stats because it just makes sense. First to not limit themselves (as you said) but also to add an in game narrative that we simply don't/can't understand his strength. He has EGO and Shin, none of our sinners or ids has that, so we can't even comprehend the basis of his powers.
Also both problems are different. The first is we don't have the power to proceed and so Erlking is getting away. The second problem is Erlking is too far away we won't catch them in time. So each solves diferent problems.
You could say that the wildhunt basement part is just like last cantos Ricardo fight conclusion.
Sure, but we wouldnt get this awsome moment
verg felt the abomination happening under the manor, something he felt time ago, he was so disgusted he broke contract for it
I find it plausible
