      1:10:00 sir, I think this can be in lil easier way
      1J = 1N × 1m ( SI system)
      1J = 10⁵ dyne ×10² cm (CGS system)
      1 Joule = 10⁷ erg
      (dyne ×cm= erg)

    Sir when we apply force on a cart it moves in the direction of the applied force which means positive work done and hence it gains energy and the frictional force is also applied on the cart to oppose it's motion but it still moves in the opposite direction of the applied frictional force that is negative work done so is it losing energy at the same time ?
    Please answer my question 🙏

    Sir, As work means that force and displacement in a body. And energy means the capability of doing work. Then what work does the sound do that we call it as energy. Is the vibration of particles in its mechanism makes it say as energy???
    Plz answer to this sir.

    • @mercyc.k7279
      @mercyc.k7279 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marker is raised to height by a force the marker is not moving by itself

    • @mercyc.k7279

    • @saurabhshukla3584
      @saurabhshukla3584 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey @rakshit, this is a very genuine doubt. Why do we take g as 9.8 m/s sq as this would mean net force on the body to be zero. There is a very basic underlying assumption here that the body has moved with almost zero velocity. This assumption let's you find the minimum work done in such a case. I'll talk more about this in the upcoming lecture.
      Btw thanks everyone who tried to answer this doubt of Rakshit. Keep leaning guys :)

    Is Kinetic Energy equal to Potential Energy

    • @unixqueme
      @unixqueme ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the energy used to perform a certain work stays the same, that is, the total energy before doing the work and after doing the work stays the same on both the objects..for example, take while kicking a football, you and the football have a total of x amount of energy, say your kinetic energy while moving is y and the stationary potential energy is z in the ball.
      Now,
      x=y+z
      And after kicking the ball, you transfer kinetic energy to the ball and your kinetic energy is restored back to zero, i.e, you are full of potential energy and the kicked ball is full of kinetic energy.. so after kicking it still stays x=y+z but just the type of energy is transmitted between two bodies.
      Hope I helped!😅
