Possible unpopular opinion: I like the stylized look of the SHF spidy. I just like the proportions it has. Sure it's not 100% accurate but I still enjoy the way it looks
Great comparison! I understand the fear with Mezco one, but I've had him since he came out and I've posed the crap out of him with no cracking at all. The fun factor is there. It's a different material than the other Spider-Man figures Mezco has come out with. So that puts him number 1 for me. But totally understand the fear with it.
Yeah, I see a lot of reviewers kind of misrepresenting Mezco figures as these fragile statue pieces with limited/no articulation and you can't move them for shit or the uniforms will tear, and I have no idea what's going on in their heads, because it couldn't be further from the truth. I've been a Mezco collector for YEARS and I've had them in all kinds of poses, often for weeks at a time, and they're all still holding up just fine. Some of them CAN be a tad limited in the ab area or the splits based on the fabric or sculpt of the underlying bodies, but it's FAR from a universal issue and not nearly as bad as some reviewers make it out to be. I understand being cautious, but it's as if some people don't even TRY posing their figures before making a proclamation about how much they're capable of, and as a fan of this line who knows how much they can do it's really frustrating.
Man mafex dropped the ball on this figure. Proportions are definitely off and the torso is definitely a big problem. For me, Mezco takes the dub. Looks, accessories and despite what you would think, his articulation is pretty good. I don't have a problem posing mine around at all. Just don't leave him in a pose that will leave a crease
I kinda of figured you were leaning towards the Diamond Select Spidey. I remembered how excited you were about the figure while watching the review. Good shit.
This'll probably be the last comment section I venture into before seeing NWH. Excited to see this comparison! These are always great and I especially love this Spidey design. I have to give it to the Mafex personally, but there are some real nice contenders in there.
I like the S.H.Figuarts the best. They actually released a cheaper NWH version at the start of the month with less defined (black) web lines. I'd say that version looks more like the movie version. But the one you have is the same as mine and I love the dark lines. I also think the proportions are similar to Tom Hollands. The Diamond Select looks to tall, lanky, and has a small head IMO.
I love the Mafex but it's really a step down from the Homecoming version, still glad to own it. Can't wait wait for the new SHF version. I used to have the FFH version and it was hand candy!
I only have the ML and though it lacks major articulation imo, it's not bad, I personally like your shf better, I like the proportions more and articulation is top notch, fun review bro and totally cool to be greeted by the assistant, thanks to the both of you for your time and work put in
I don't get why SHF didn't give us a Mysterio, he's easily one of the best looking MCU villains and I think they would've killed it with a slightly more accurate design than the ML. Then again unless its Loki or Thanos most companies don't even bother with MCU villains.
@@Zapdos97 I can somewhat comprehend it only because the design was somewhat interesting which made for a nice looking figure, but even then I know not everyone liked that redesign (then again finally seeing how they handled the 'character' in the film didn't help with that). Honestly I feel in a lot of ways he's the main villain of the MCU Spider-Man, seeing as he was a lot more evil than the Vulture, and set in motion everything that's coming in the new film, so I hope they reveal that he faked his death at some point for a Sinister Six film down the road.

@@UnparalleledUniverse mezco is much more durable than you think so that's not true at all. Don't be telling people ots dangerous to pose the toy, lol that's what it was made for.
I don't really care about movie accuracy. Because the suits always look very busy. But the shf in this case actually has a pretty good proportion and styling.
Love the comparison videos Wade, and WOW I did not see that twist coming. As much as I love the Mafex line, it's sorta good to know they aren't infallible. The shelf can look more diverse that way.
I don’t know why you seem to have those issues with the Mezco Spider-Man figures. My FFH Mezco Spidey is still going strong with no cracks or fading after months of playing with it and constantly posing it.
Mafex looks the most accurate, but I don't trust Mafex QC for long-term, so SHF. Also the stylized design of SHF can fit any Spider-Man universe, can be a comic or a live-action version.
I think the ML, SHF and mafex were the best, ML legends cause it’s very cheap and good for its price, also debating on which one is better in between the shf and mafex one, but I like the mafex better ngl
Marvel Select totally need to give us a Miles Morales figure with this articulation! Don't know how they haven't brought out a Miles yet, especially after Into the Spider-verse cemented the character into the mainstream
I noticed that the Figuarts has red lining on the back of the thighs which he doesn’t have in the movie… it kind of bothers me whenever I look at mine.
I don’t own any of these figures. Lol But based on observation I’ll rank them second hand.. 5. Mezco I don’t think his accessories warrants the price. Also the cloth goods would seriously hinder the fun factor for me. 4. Marvel Select He looks very movie accurate but the scale holds him back. He looks too tall even for a 7 inch figure. 3. Marvel legends If he had a few more accessories he might take the top spot. Best value of the bunch. 2. Mafex Limited ab articulation? Yeah that’s surprising on a Mafex. But the accessories and overall look would put him close to the top. 1. SHF This one looks like the best to me. And since I don’t really dig movie figures the kinda comic aesthetic gives him a bonus! Figuarts was good too especially the eye lenses
Hope you do a take on Miles Morales comparison in the future
For me its the mafex
Interesting choice
I agree
I don't really care about movie accuracy. Because the suits always look very busy. But the shf in this case actually has a pretty good proportion and styling.
I’m shocked…guess I need to take some photos before my mezco falls apart 🤣🤣
Love the comparison videos Wade, and WOW I did not see that twist coming. As much as I love the Mafex line, it's sorta good to know they aren't infallible. The shelf can look more diverse that way.
Yeah no company is perfect! Mafex is close though haha
I don’t know why you seem to have those issues with the Mezco Spider-Man figures. My FFH Mezco Spidey is still going strong with no cracks or fading after months of playing with it and constantly posing it.
Well it doesn't change the fact that it's still a risk. Happened on my Mezco classic spidey. Little crack on the vinyl while doing something simple.
Same here
Mafex looks the most accurate, but I don't trust Mafex QC for long-term, so SHF. Also the stylized design of SHF can fit any Spider-Man universe, can be a comic or a live-action version.
Gosh dang it, I missed at Marvel select spiderman and now I just hope they realise one of no way home
Hey bro
Could u try the select head on the mafex body? Also the mezco head on the mafex body
I feel like the head on the mezco one is quite big.
My mezco one 12 venom Spider-Man suit had its rubber coating flaking/peeling off
My faviourite is the mafex one its just so good so i cant explain and my second faviourite is the shf
Marvel select has the most accurate webbing and headsculpt, colors too imo
i was able to mod the mafex ffh by raising the torso joint, so hes got a much better crunch and looks taller.
i agree with ur opinion with the mafex one
I think the ML, SHF and mafex were the best, ML legends cause it’s very cheap and good for its price, also debating on which one is better in between the shf and mafex one, but I like the mafex better ngl
Yeah mafex is usally better just make sure to use shock oil to help prevent issues. That or some hot water to get the joints not stiff
@@Dreyz-pg2zz thanks for advice when my mafex arrives I’ll do that
Marvel Select totally need to give us a Miles Morales figure with this articulation! Don't know how they haven't brought out a Miles yet, especially after Into the Spider-verse cemented the character into the mainstream
You should do best iron spider endgame action figure
Usually don’t like SHF but that looks best to me. That I own I like Mezco.
I think the problem with the mafex figure look is the torso, it is like too short or wide.
that's how Tom Holland looked in FFH.
@@FrankW1029 I’m pretty sure his torso didnt look that wide
For me his Arms Look thin
I noticed that the Figuarts has red lining on the back of the thighs which he doesn’t have in the movie… it kind of bothers me whenever I look at mine.
I Like The Mafex And Hot Toys Version
Nice! I need to check out the HotToys version, I don’t think I have even seen it hahaha
@@UnparalleledUniverse :D
I don't have money to buy it but I like the mexico and the mafex but my favorite is the mexico one
no way home upgraded suit spider-man from marvel legends has a tom holland head.
I like the SH Figuarts one more. Mine has great and smooth articulation. Mezco is alright, it’s too tall for my liking.
The SH is awesome for sure
I don’t own any of these figures. Lol
But based on observation I’ll rank them second hand..
5. Mezco
I don’t think his accessories warrants the price. Also the cloth goods would seriously hinder the fun factor for me.
4. Marvel Select
He looks very movie accurate but the scale holds him back. He looks too tall even for a 7 inch figure.
3. Marvel legends
If he had a few more accessories he might take the top spot. Best value of the bunch.
2. Mafex
Limited ab articulation? Yeah that’s surprising on a Mafex. But the accessories and overall look would put him close to the top.
1. SHF
This one looks like the best to me. And since I don’t really dig movie figures the kinda comic aesthetic gives him a bonus!
I know I have no business ranking figures I don’t own or care much about but thanks for letting me have fun with it.
Great comparison video as always!
I like the mezco cuz it has a very good material
