With all that armor and heavy swings I think it would make sense to give all his heavies hyper armor after the swing goes into motion. Don't know why he's designed to look so huge and intimidating if his swings don't back it up. Shugoki, Hito, Highlander, Warlord, and many others have hyper armor after a segment in their swing yet some of these characters don't even have as much armor or meat than Lawbringer, doesn't make any sense.
If Ubisoft wanted LB to be a good mix between heavy and vanguard focused on counter attacking and disabling they should have done a much better job making that part of his kit. It took them forever to even give him hyper armor which while a much needed change doesn't really trade well with all of the other heroes who also use hyper armor in their kit. Laws bashes are weak as well being one of his main openers that's a real shame. Also for someone so focused on countering, why doesn't he have any deflects or crushing counters? He has to rely on normal parries which can force him into being baited out very easily with even normal feints (much less the soft feints and dodging attacks a lot of other characters get.) While I get he's not supposed to be an offensive hero, LB can put practically no pressure on his opponent but has no defensive skills like full block, deflect, crushing counter, dodge attack, superior block, guaranteed counterattacks, or stance. All they get is the aforementioned hyper armor which isn't very good. To be defensive anyway one need to be a viable threat which LB isn't. While his heavies and lights do respectable damage they aren't anything to gawk at, and since LB's true combos are very short many classes don't need to fear taking a hit, they'll just be able to try again because the damage done is fine as long as they can get you to flub a parry and do triple your damage in longer combo strings. A law bringer has to use so much stam to even open up a foe or bait our a plausible parry that if you do end up closing a combo you can't even retaliate to enemy flubs. God forbid you face a foe who can drain stam as well, have fun poking with lights all game. It's just so sad because Law bro looks so awesome and has a cool backstory and an interesting gameplay premise, and weapon... but in reality plays so bad in the current meta. LB was never "good" but at least in classic FH he wasn't totally left in the dust by other heroes. Jiang and Gryphon are basically just better Law bringers with more moves and more aggressive play styles (just like war monger is just better warden).... It's sad that LB is doomed to be mid at best, and since they just reworked him not to long ago, it's unlikely he'll get a new one.
New lawbringer main coming from gladiator its difficult to pull his playstyle off but its satisfying on the same note knowing that if i beat you with law then you have a skill issue/made mistakes.Also i love his design.
The zone is the better option on parry in 1v1 its slightly more damage and you get the second hit in chains instead of going straight into the finisher after light riposte.

They should change his difficulty to literally impossible because even as a rep 70, his moveset is so limited theres practically nothing you can do to just about anyone who knows how to parry and dodge lmao

Here is my fix: His heavies anytime during his first or second heavy he should be able to soft fient into a bash. Bring back his impale after a parry. That alone was the foundation of what made lawbringer different than any other hero. His blind effect and stamina drain needs to come back. That is what gave him power to put players under pressure. The long arm use has long ago been useless for its original purpose was to drain stamina and leave the opponent helpless. With the stand back up recovery the reward of it is diminished other than a simple heavy or light attack. Lastly his heavy finisher in my own personal opinion should be hyper armored. This not only enable him to in group fights but allow his full combo extend. I’m sick and tired of a teammate who isn’t even in range of the enemy throwing random lights or heavies and stopping my full combo in a gank. Overall lawbringer simply just sucks in a solid low c tier borderline d tier. Don’t get me wrong I know a few good law bringers but it’s because they can parry every light and dodge almost every bash. To your average joe he sucks.
They were going to turn him into an absolute beast but everyone complaining stopped them. I honestly wish they went through with that version of law because that would have been more fun to play and fight against
Right now I enjoy playing law a ton, I do feel somewhat limited while playing him though. When I fight a law as a law it really feels like a fight of who can parry better. I never feel like I'm forced into a certain play style though.
The only thing that made up for his predictable slow as molasses attacks was his stuns on parry opening up his opponent.. now that he doesnt have that hes unusable in duels
So does feline ability make u more able to dodge, i currently have bastion and remedy im not even rep 1 yet, and my lawbringer cannot move out of hardly any attacks if i try to dodge.
New player here, tried to use him for few matches, feels awful. The main source of damage is heavy and nothing else, and that got parried a lot, the side step bash does fuck and all, and I have no idea how to deal with opponents that use doge attacks
So when it come to people using side dodge just bait them by feinting your heavies. Because laws main way to get attacks is by counter attacking so if you bait their side dodges out you can get crazy parries and make them look crazy. And it’s hard to get laws main damage heavies out due to people reacting and parrying everything nowadays so law is in an iffy spot

i like the hero but i keep getting my behind handed to me , he feels very weak and is quite hard to pick up and needs way to much effort to be at the very least mediocre. i dont know what he used to be like , but as is now he is very underwhelming. Shame , one of the cooler looking ones too!
6:33 "Soft feint the top heavy into a light" I'm really confused because this just straight up isn't what you did, you hard feinted the top heavy into a gb and went for a side heavy, does lb have soft feints?
@@TheGamingRaptor_ Wall splats have reduced damage on heavy follow up. If you can get a GB it's more effective to just side heavy into swift justice finisher. You'll do 3 more damage or you can attempt a delayed light or shove mixup into light or heavy for some unguaranteed dmg. It's a shame that there is absolutely no reason to ever wall splat with LB unless it's a stage hazard, or you're in a team fight.

Top heavy is only guaranteed on a light parry, it's one of your best punishes as LB. It's unguaranteed on gbs, neutrals, or hitstun (and in many cases can be very unsafe). Only decent on a combo hyper armor trade or a frame advantage 50/50 finisher.

I can’t parry lights to save my life so I try to force my opponent to dodge attack by feighting my unblockables. Works wonders!

Lawbringer is utter trash UNLESS you're good at parrying. That has always been the case.

Wallsplat for law is just for one heavy and a light after that’s optional but really wall can work sometimes
And you don’t get extra damage it’s just 20 dmg with 4 more dmg if you throw the chain light right after
