A Suron with the EMOTO Bros Wire loom set a Suron on Fire 🔥. They use cheap non automotive wiring. Be careful with their products
That cheap harness from EMOTO bros created a fire 🔥 in a Suron. They are not electrical engineering experts and used low quality materials

I bought this throttle for my bike a few weeks ago. I wasn’t impressed for the price. For me the return spring is to weak. As you said it’s a knockoff for sure. Should have saved the money for the Domino
Edit. HOT TIP there’s a black screw in the rear that if you tighten will increase the spring tension

Nice install and review dude. I’ve started to not like the magura. There’s a dead spot past half way. So anything after that isn’t full throttle. I’m going with the domino e throttle. Picked it up from surronshop. Should be here in a week or so

I personally use domino throttle but never tried magura. Will be great to compare all 4 throttles: old cable throttle and new ethrottle from Sur-Rom factory, magura and domino.
I think domino is a clear winner but this is such an expensive throttle almost impractical, already had a crash that cost me full price of that thing 😅

After watching almost all you're videos I decided to get a surron a few weeks ago but at the time they were out of stock everywhere except bikezilla but they tried to charge be over 1000usd in tax alone 😒 ended up moving to l.a and buying a segway x260 over a week ago, yesterday ordered the 72v and the bac 8000 thanks for helping with my decision
Isn’t the Segway just a “knockoff” of a Sur Ron? How much was the $$ difference with the upgrades included? I want one so bad but don’t know anyone who has one. Thanks you in advance.
@@wethepeople5907 do your research my buddy segway owns shares to surron the surron stock i think it goes 40mph and maybe 30miles in distance even though the bike is made by surron with the same specs I can do 45mph and I can 40 miles but if you look deeper they actually have the same exact controller,motor etc but does somehow goes further
@@wethepeople5907 it was 5500 is base price another 2gs for the 72v battery depending on which one you get and the bac 8000 i order from litespeed

Is it possable to get a left handed throttle.? Even if it's a thumb throttle. I'm a mountain biker and need my rear brake on the right and throttle on left..
Hay check out the super nice DOMINO 1/4 turn electric throttle. The magura is a true magura even though it feels like junk & is expensive but closer to a 1/4 turn then stock SR throttle is. The SR is weird & feels like a 3/8 turn throttle or something,but I’ve never been able to get used to the extra amount of twist it has.The DOMINO is used on a lot of higher end electric MC’s like DRILLONE & ELECTRIC MOTION .

Just installed this throttle but it cuts out at full power. Any idea what emotobros did to make it work for you? I also have their BAC 4000 controller. Any help is appreciated.

I try wheelies on my Sur Ron all the time but most of the time when I pop up, I tend to lean to on side or the other and can’t get my balance back and have to drop back down.
Do you have any tips for that?
Go a little faster when you pop maybe like 15mph
Throw your weight directly back with a focus on keeping on keeping the bars straight

about 3 months ago, I bought the "1/4" turn Magura throttle from another major distributor, and I swear my stock one was better. First off, it is not a 1/4 turn, more like a 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Very disappointed.
EDIT: my stock throttle was electric not cable

Hey, the wire Loom on the EMOTO Bros ASI kit is poor quality. A Suron caught fire 🔥 from their kit. Love the Chanel .
I'm aware of that situation. I would be very cautious blaming the EMB kit for that fire. There were several other factors at play, for example he was bypassing the breaker switch and running many more kw than EMB recommends. There is very little evidence the wire loom was the cause.
@@SurRonster I saw the photos that were posted. That shows the loom failed. Check them out on Facebook. I am just trying to keep you safe my friend. The battery had nothing to do with the fire or the breaker. Many electrical engineers have already agreed after reviewing the photos up close.
@@Buffetology what would have happened to the loom?
@@SurRonster They used thin wire to transmit 72 volts from the key switch to the ASI via their custom Loom. It’s was not the proper gauge and it was un-shielded. That’s what created the fire. Basically they used cheap wiring to save money at the expense of safety. I would not be pushing their product as this is a huge liability.
@@Buffetology the key runs off the 12v system i dont think its running 72v to the controller and the battery + phase wires are identical to the stock x controller im very curious which exact wire you're referencing
