    I agree with you saying nuclear being expensive point. But at present nuclear is the only 24/7 carbon free technology we know how to make. Other technologies such as deep geothermal, battery storage etc are still under development. For every nuclear plant there is a equivalent coal/gas plant that was avoided.

    • @Nikhilkumar.-
      @Nikhilkumar.- ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello if you construct a power plant then you think the material and everything that put together for making the plant is not carbon free ok second thing who will pay the capital cost and running cost and everything that need to run the plant i.e. nuclear fuel + staff + equipments etc. If you pay for all of these expenses then make it

      Nuclear plants take many years to build. By that time, other technologies will get much better and cheaper so investors are not confident to bet on nuclear power

    I believe nuclear energy should be a thing of the past and not be any part of our future. I would like to discuss this with open minded people that think otherwise and I will respect your opinion and give a fair rebuttal in response. Thank you.

      Ok , in europe there are 2 countries leadin in renewable and sustainable energy france and Germany .
      Both countries decided to move forward to make clean electricity without polluting the environment, Germany 🇩🇪 went with renewable energy (solar and wind) , wehere as France 🇫🇷 went with nuclear energy .
      Now in 2022 Germany 🇩🇪 produce ~50% of energy with renewable (solar,wind) , which should be cheap but istead it has 2nd most expensive electricity in europe with .46 dollars per kwh , because solar,wind energy is not 1 time investment the required regular maintenance and have to be replace every 20 years thats why Germany electricity bill is rising.
      Whereas in France 🇫🇷 they went forward with nuclear energy which provide ~60% energy for france and nuclear is 1 time investment, requires reguler mnteinence but is insignificant when compared to replacement of solar panals after every 20 years , thats wht it has cheapest electricity in Europe with .19 usd per kwh .
      Nuclear is not technology of past it is future of energy to achive polution free energy both renewable (solar, wind) and sustainable (nuclear) energy have to go together both have their own advantages .

      @@dikshantdahiya124 Where will France bury all the nuclear waste that Germany was smart enough not to make and realized that seeing America's newest reactors at Vogtle Georgia end up with a 30 billion dollar price tag increased from just 15 thousand after Fukushima occured to actually build them correctly proving that they couldn't replace all the necessary nuclear reactors that were already past their designed timeframe limits. The world can not afford to not only replace the aging nuclear reactors we have or had but also replace everything else with nuclear reactors...its just not feasible. Nuclear power only accounts for 9% of our global energy needs and to even have a nuclear reactor International law states all reactors need to be powered with offsite power of which is primarily fossil fuels globally which means just to have a nuclear reactor, we must burn much more fossil fuels. Take that International law away and require them to power themselves even through fuel changes, even the playing field with other energy sources that dont require the same International law and that makes nuclear the most dangerous energy source man has ever used.

    I always remain hopeful about thorium. It seems possible not like fusion or helium ones. It has some problem. But sir if it isn't possible fusion is definitely impossible. Even if we achieve fusion we wouldn't be able to afford it at all.
