My personal thing with YT artists is that a lot of the advice is derivative of a concept they probably just read in a book that explains it in more detail. They all give great advice but it's just super important for us as viewers to remember it's all their subjective lens of the knowledge they are giving. The author of "Steal Like an artist" has this good quote where he mentions that you should find who inspires you and then go learn from who inspired them. I use that mentality with youtube artists and it works out better because it's so ridiculous how many of these creators are just requoting Scott Robertson's "how to draw from imagination."
The advantage of YT over book is that while giving advice you can literally show it to the audience, I followed Borodante's (or BoroCG) method of creating mess first and adding finer and finer details later and I can that at the beginning it doesn't look good so I don't need to worry if my art doesn't look good either when I start
I feel like the art youtubers who give the best advice, are the ones who actually work/worked in the art industry professionally. Like game artists or animators.
I also enjoy listening to YT artists, just remember guys that listening will not substitute actually doing something. Remember: consistency and progressive overload (drawing more challenging stuff over time). Oh, and a little tiny bit of patience will come a long way too.
If you’re wanna be an animator definitely follow JACKIE DROUJKO and ETHAN BECKER cuz these guys really know how to give the best advice. Please note that you can’t just watch their videos and become art god though. I watch Jackie for portfolio advice and just art advice in general, and Ethan is really good at giving simple but golden advice. Once you watch one video, make sure to evaluate what you’ve learned and actually apply it on your art!
I actually learned more from TH-cam tutorials and advice regarding art than I ever did in an art class. 😂 Remember, don't copy people, but watch multiple lessons on the same subject to help you practice and figure out your style and ways of doing art,
I usually watch tutorials that's aren't heavily edited and just some quiet drawing and that's enough for me. Those videos are kinda hard to find since its bloated with "Do this, Do that!" Tutorials
Anyone else using their almost decade old ipad and ibisPaint for digital? My first digital art experience was on the original DS with my little pink stylus
Bro Ethan Becker made me think like an industry artist and by far helped me improved the quickest He really teaches ya how one artist you wanna learn do the steps they do in drawing, its like learning an artstyle you want backwards to understand that artist's mindset I was able to draw and understand almost every artstyle from his advise alone
Heres the tip my sister told me Go find some stock image online and get a paper and pencil. Draw for 30 seconds, only looking at the image and I improved after like a day or something. Didn’t really draw after that though Other than that look at anatomy and stuff
I recommend you check out Rodgon the artist, i’ve learned almost everything i know from him, he has tons of hours explaining anatomy, volume, perspective, overlapping shapes and other things, he is one of my favorite artist on youtube
Most artists tutorials unfortunately are 8 minutes of skits and two minutes of advice. I get needing to hit ten minutes for money, but I find it much faster to just read tips. Even chatgpt will give advice you can start using right away while others are still watching the TH-cam video. Very sad. Very frustrating.
Unfortunately this is why I stick to jp/kr/cn professionals than English mostly (except for Marc and Becker, they are the goats) artists like kooleen… not very helpful
So basically, you just reacted to "learning to draw" videos and farmed some views off of it without demonstrating if any youtuber has practical advice, and how you improved off of each video. I can watch all those videos separately. Why do i need to watch yours? Editing is funny, but that's it...
samdoesarts looks like ai art tho... I am not accusing him in any way but could it be that it was used as reference for ai? Was there any drama with them?
Pikat, Samdoesarts and Proko taught me so many things
Eico, tppo and qrbait are good too! I recommend them :)

Short answer : Its up to you, you pick which advice works the best which isn't but its always good to have as many knowledge as you can.
I think my favorite TH-cam art teacher is Marc Brunet. That man is the greatest!! Def should check him out.
Marc Brunet gives really good advice

Unironically kooleen made me draw lips better… or rather juicier
As someone who started learning to draw a week ago, I recognize every single person in the thumbnail 😂
