Oh yeah, Cora definitely learnt from her mistakes there. Probably had a lot of time to refine her manipulation skills when she was trapped in Wonderland as the Queen of Hearts, learnt how to be more subtle about it
Does anyone notice how Emma Rigby (Anastasia) and Barbara Hershey (Cora) both have very similar styles of acting? They're both great actresses! I'm surprised there are people who think Emma Rigby is a terrible actress, she's great! It's Sophie Lowe (Alice) who is the terrible actress.
I agree, I also felt that the way Sophie Lowe was playing as Alice was sometimes too nice, instead of that tough attitude that her character was supposed to have.

Cold, distant, yet full of emotions inside. To play a game like she did, Anastasia couldnt act like Sophie. Sophie was nice girl, sometimes too nice, perhaps her role demand that. Playing nice girl is so easy. Barbara, like Emma, require do be manipulative, cold, yet more deceived and heartless. Thats why, both Emma and Barbara, look almost same acting.

It was only that brief window, just after Cora's banishment through the mirror-portal, that made the difference. Suddenly and for the first time in her life, Regina had freedom but no idea what to do with it or her future might look like. All due to Rumple's agenda of course.
I actually like the chemistry she had here with Anastasia. Molding Anastasia into being the ally she needed to take full control over Wonderland was genius. This is what made Cora the best villain in the OUAT universe, her manipulations of people.

Anastasia had walls to protect her, to make her feel safe! Anastasia didnt trust easily in people, and Cora need to make her trust on her. Thats why the chemistry is less, and look different
When I watched this series and I saw this episode I was like "of course it was Cora meddled into Will and Anastasia's relationship thats what she does messes with peoples emotions
Actually, no. I don't think Cora gives a flip whether she makes people miserable or happy, as long as they _do as Cora wants_. If making someone happy gets them to do what Cora wants, great. If making them miserable serves Cora's turn, great. It's all about Cora.

I didnt understand Cora's role in this series? What was she exactly? THis confused me. Who was the King to her and why would she care about the red queen marrying him? They didnt answer that in the series.
Cora was the queen of hearts that in wonderland is the QUEEN of queens she is the biggest. The King? In wonderland is a place rule for Queens, for women and she alredy said why she was so interested on Anastasia, beacuse she saw hersef in her because both where nothing and ascend to higtness And if you say whts her role then..she is a caracter who chose power over weakness
She may be manipulative cruel and literally heartless, but I'd still want Cora to teach me magic.

Tina Ngo I felt like Sophie was absolutely emotionless in both her face and her voice. She's completely untalented.

Cora’s learning from her mistakes. She’s learning that the way she handled Regina didn’t get her what she wanted, the daughter she wanted.
