I like the change in Ran’s posture here. Her original PCB portrait had her do the classic “hands/sleeves together” pose (not sure how to describe it, but think of a Minecraft villager) showing her intellect and duty as a shikigami to Yukari Yakumo. Here, her portrait shows more action complete with her rolling up one sleeve, showing that she’s ready to solve an incident by herself while still looking calm and collected.
I remember how, due to how the Extra Boss Theme is a remix of the Phantasm Boss theme, fans tended to associate Ran with the Extra Stage Theme (which was also remixed in the Phantasm Stage Theme) instead. Guess it's canon, now.
Erm, excuse you. The Extra boss theme is a remix of the Phantasm theme. Because Ran is directly controlled by Yukari, so her theme is a subdued version of Necrofantasia.

In general, it sounds more like the extra theme than the phantasm theme IMO. I'm really missing the full drop of instrumentation, total silence at 1:22. Overall though, it works pretty alright in the new soundfont.

Hearing 1:20, the part where Ran almost always pops her spell card in PCB Phantasm , get arranged is magical.
