It's not over yet, however. But I believe going forward, this will no longer be about Selen's termination anymore. It will be about the entire branch itself.
Edit: If there is a mistake, some additions, or some nuances you'd like to input in the video, do leave them in this thread for anyone to see. Thank you!

Agreed. Particularly on the Niji defense squad (but it can apply on both sides of this apocalypse), they think it's purely all about supporting and defending Selen but the situation has clearly evolved beyond just defending Selen alone and it's about Nijisanji EN/AnyColor as a company

I’ve read a comment and I think it explains why Niji is failing at this. Niji is currently having a culture shock because they don’t realize that the western audience has a different reaction than the JP audience. The JP audience would have eaten up these statements at face value but the western audience don’t and this is why they are panicking badly.

I find that odd cause you'd have thought that Japan would have understood by now how much those of us, especially us Americans and our Canadian siblings, value individuals. And that we aren't just going to accept, especially with evidence of wrong doing out of their own mouth, whatever excuse a Corporation throws out.
Maybe someone in Niji management thought the overseas audience would only make a loud noise and it quiet down in a week like it usually happens in the videogame sphere. But it didn't happen here because it strikes a nerve with us.
I'm not even a Niji fan, I'm more of a Hololive one. Was only subbed to 1 Niji liver, but the crap they pulled on Selen and others really anger and disappoint me. I absolutely feel sorry for Niji fans, I was hoping that things get better for them in 2024, but the year has only begun and its been nothing but more of the same bad actions from the company.
And this shit show isn't even done. I can see at least the parts the internet has seen still continue till April. And that's still awhile that Niji could still go out and make things worse.

Important to note that Selen lives in Canada, which has a few effects:
    1. She is legally allowed to have recorded those conversations, since Canada has one party consent laws for recording
    2. She may be able to get classified as a dependent contractor employee, not an independent contractor, which has a lot of legal protections, and if the contract has her as a contractor, and she's treated as such, that may be misclassification
All in all, if Selen is able to sue in a Canadian court, under Canadian law (which she should be able to), Niji will lose

@@RWhite_This. As a US engineer i was *TAUGHT* in my engineering ethics classes that recording things like this is an important part of the whistleblowing procedure if you believe you are being mistreated or ignored by management. After trying to resolve things internally, and escalating that attempt as far as you can, get a lawyer and record EVERYTHING so it’s not just a game of he said/she said when it gets to court, but only share those recordings with your lawyer-the point it passes OUT of the protection of attorney-client privilege is when it becomes a breach of privacy. Selen/Doki may have injured the trust she had with Vox by doing it, but she wasn’t recording him to get dirt ON him, just to make sure Niji couldn’t LIE about what they told her LATER.

And tbh, i WANT this kess to get BIG, like SO BIG THE WHOLE WORLD AUTHORITIES ACT on it, and then, Kuroshit JP, and their KuroButas feel first hand the absolute Karma of paying Black Corpo business their due punishment.

The absolute IRONY of the fact is that clearly, because they BELIEVED that they still HAVE enough Narrative Control, they can turn this around, perhaps the Ignorant JP base will eat it. But honestly? If i get what i want and the mess becomes a HORRID LEGAL BEATDOWN that ends becoming PUBLIC (Tbh this SHOULD become public) and the sour as a lemon face if the CEO pops in public media about being caught in court of pulling absurdly illegal shit against their contracted livers, if that won't make the likes of Nintendo BLACKLIST their talents from ever streaming their games, it should be EA with Apex (The JP base for that game is HUGE) while granting Doki an Ambassador status for Apex, either of those will be enough to COLLAPSE that company down into a medium-low corpo at very least.
All Kuroshit has done, is the best worst example of how BAD the JP norms of prioritizing surface stability of society and the Face (aka Honor and Reputation) of the higher ranked people. I am tbh at the piint where it kay be needed for JP as a whole to earn a NUCLEAR BLACK EYE in the field of Entertainment so they HAVE to fix their shit, their own culture has to be put against them to force a change, if nothing changes, expect MORE Kuroshits to pop and perhaps one of them succeed where Kuroshit failed, ending a talent's future by leading them to self minoskraft

I'll preface this by saying I don't watch streamers or vtubers, but I heard about DokiBird on the official NeoPets Discord and was excited to see her play. I've been casually playing for over 15 years now and was happy to see someone with an audience as large as hers come and check out the site. After her stream ended last night, I had to do research to understand what was going on and it's heartbreaking. I am sad that the first experience I was going to have with a vtuber was brought to an end by a petty company who just won't leave her alone. I wish her all the best and look forward to seeing nothing but great things from her in the future.

Outsider's perspective, but this entire thing is just so interesting, I can't stop looking up stuff about it. As someone who suffered under cliques and clique-like behavior for a significant portion of my life, it's vindicating to see similar behavior be exposed and rightfully demonized by the majority. People like that find their power in outnumbering their victims, in finding camaraderie and a support group that enables their antics and protects them from ever being truly called out or having to reconsider their attitude and demeanor, but as can be seen here, the moment they are outnumbered their perceived superiority and unimputability crumbles like sandpaper.
What I see here is a coworker clique, likely involving both streamers and managers, who got way out of hand, being control freaks with their combined influence on their company and, as is obligatory of cliques, attempting to isolate and humiliate anyone who they consider unworthy of joining their special little group or does not fit in with their general mentality. It really says a lot that if they hadn't had a meltdown and done that disaster stream, just let the CEO do his scripted statement and lie the fuck low, this really might've just been a sour footnote. But they either are afraid of the metaphorical eye of Sauron gazing their way now that they've done the worst thing you can do to a multimillionnaire corporation, which is upset their investors/shareholders, and are pulling a really scummy scapegoat move; or they really do care that much about convincing everyone that they did not do anything bad, they were just having fun, see? It's not their fault, they didn't want to hurt anyone, it was she who overreacted!
I never really was a big drama consumer but this shit's like watching a nature documentary. So fascinating. Also really shit for this girl who had to go through it all, genuinely don't wish shit like this on anyone, but fascinating nonetheless.

Man, I remember when Yugo graduated unceremoniously, that he had said some things that shouldn't have been said on stream. He wasn't given any council with management or punishments and was just let off so harshly.
Then Zaion was terminated with rules violation but terrible statements on both Zaion and Niji part made both parties seem guilty. Unfortunately, NijiEN was growing and Zaion suffered some nasty harassment.
Nina, Mysta, Kyo and Pomu all left NijiEN due to a lack of faith in management. A limitation on their creativity and content creation career is enough to leave. Particularly Pomu, who CRIED on stream because her dream, an opportunity of a lifetime, was denied by Niji.
Selen is fucking loved by all sides, she IS the Ame of NijiEN. She made so many moments happened, so many projects. VRchat train, lofi EN songs, all the apex collabs, tournament participation, attention to ID, attention to artists and clippers with Niji Bites. Man, I can't list out all of Selen's achievements FOR NijiEN. She spent 200k CAD on all her strives, and Riku finally came out to say their support to EN branch was lackluster. NO Shit? Your closest competitor at least gave away 1million yen (9k CAD) as a grand prize for projects. Niji EN was left to fend for themselves, livers were sponsoring each other's projects. This was really well done man. As someone who never really followed Nijisanji, aside from subscribing to everyone in general support of the Vtuber community and watching some clips here and there, I can say there is a LOT of info here that I had no idea about. I wasn't completely unaware that things were going south; it's hard not to notice the seemingly nonstop graduations, even as a casual Niji viewer. There is so much I want to say, but I don't want to write a whole essay. All I can say is that I feel like I've gone through just about every emotion possible several times over the past couple days and feel like I've spent weeks pouring over videos like this and scouring the comments sections. I absolutely hate that things went down this way. I hate that other talents are "catching strays" regardless of their involvement. I don't even like that Elira, Vox, and Ike are taking this beating even though they put themselves out there as targets (willingly or not). The whole situation blows my mind, and I just can't believe how badly it was handled considering, as primarily a Hololive viewer, I've seen how comparitively well terminations can be done painful, yes, but also swift, professional, and to the point while also allowing the talents to express their thoughts and feelings with us as viewers to create an environment of understanding, bonding, and trust. Side note: I'm not saying Holo hasn't made mistakes or that they are infallible; just that, from my personal experience, they handle things cleanly and learn as much as possible from their mistakes.
My second biggest "WTF" is the whole statement made by Elira, Vox, and Ike. If they weren't pressured from within, all they had to do was nothing. Even IF everything they said was 100% true, there was still no reason to make a statement like that and turn the dumpster fire into a forest fire. If they felt the need to speak, they could have easily kept it REALLY simple and respectful with something along the lines of "We understand these are upsetting and difficult times; it's unfortunate these things have occurred, and we are saddened by this loss. Please continue to support us, blah blah blah, and we wish Selen/Dokibird the best in her future endeavors." Even if they don't believe it at all, just say it as professionals, move on, and let the rest be handled by legal. The most positive outcome of all this is that a giant spotlight was shined into the depths of the black company and, of course, Dokibird herself; the amount of love, support, solidarity, sponsors, and opportunities she now has is incredible. The loyalty of existing Dragoons was solidified even more, and she gained an "army" of newly minted ones, including myself. I stand with Dokibird and the Dragoons with nothing but love, respect, and excitement for where this new chapter takes her. I likely never would have even noticed if this had gone down quietly, but Dokibird stood up and roared after being beaten down. Nothing but massive love and respect for her. 💛💛
Shit, I guess that kind of turned into an essay after all. RIP to anyone's eyes who acutally reads this. 🪦

The "volunteering" was likely management's decision - but I think the general consensus that it was these 3 named as the bullies in that to be probably be right.
The way Vox talked irked me the wrong way, and makes me think he was a part of it. Something about it felt like gaslighting that would have really pegged him as a bully.

Given that he slipped and mentioned reading "thoroughly" through documents that he should not have had, plus other mid-sentence additions make me think that he may have had bullet points, but was otherwise off the cuff. He started off calm but seemed damn near incensed by the end.
Dude also pulled an example of Chekhov's gun - If you don't absolutely need to include it, don't. Nothing of his story about the recording had any relevance until he said it, so one can easily conclude that he should not have said diddlysquat... or he could have, that word is better than any of the ones he said on stream. Similarly, he provided no receipts except for screenshots of a spliced conversation, which may have context omitted for their benefit, about the video. Nothing else had anything of substance other than DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Oppressor). Similarly, the Niji response to confidentiality concern was Fred Clark's Law because incompetence and malice from Niji seems indistinguishable at this point.
Vox means voice in latin and he made a mistake in using his for this.

2 of the most critical pieces of evidence here for me is when contractors came forward saying niji didn't pay them but selen paid them out of her own pocket. that to me signals that selen gets all the credibility in the world and anything niji says should be HELLA scrutinized. then finally the second piece comes when niji released their statement saying they privated the video because selen didn't get the proper approvals, THEN like 3 sentences later they say that selen lied when she said that management privated the video. bold faced lie that you then confirm is a lie by your own damn self?! also the whole approval bullshit, she had that project in the works for a whole YEAR, everyone involved said they gave her permission. so the ONLY approval left was for management to say yea go ahead post the thing you worked on for a whole year and paid a ton of people for. but management couldn't even be effed to do that and when it gets posted they throw a fit because she didn't crawl and beg on her knees for them to let her post it? fk niji man, and screw all of the vtubers who caved to niji and posted support for niji. get some god damn integrity and just quit that PoS company or tell them no when they ask you to do reprehensible shit like that.

The one thing that I can garner from all of this is that Doki is simply a better person than anyone who stands against her will ever know. She told the public that livers were bullying her, she was willing to not drag people through the mud when she very much could have easily done so. She was ready to simply move on and be done; hell, I wouldn't be surprised if she was kind enough to forgive any of the livers who did bully her as long as they were willing to reach out and make amends out of their own volition and truly show that they've changed. Unfortunately now, even if this did happen, I feel like it would only seem fake due to all the backlash the current suspects are facing.
I've never really considered myself a fan of Nijisanji as a company, or really any Vtuber agency, but rather the talents themselves. I was introduced to NijiEN talents in late 2021 and have follwed them for a while(mainly Nina, Enna, Scarle and Selen). This whole situation is just so sad to see unfold because not only are innocents caught in the cross fire, not only are people being outed as, very likely, bullies, not only can Doki not move on yet, but also because I had a similar situation happen to me so this just feels so relatable to me. I remember how bad I felt when i went so through my situation so I can only imagine how AWFUL it feels to be caught up in this drama, no matter what side you're on.
My heart goes out to all of those affected by this, especially Doki and the innocents in the NijiEN branch.

The problem with the events' funding is that Selen wasn't allowed to find sponsors to help fund the events, because sponsorships would have to go through management. Since Nijisanji also refused to fund, the literal only way she had left was taking out of her own pocket. And to make it worse, even if the fans tried to help fund the event by donating to her, most of the money would end up going to Nijisanji and not Selen anyway.

I think calling this entire thing negligible is the worst thing they could have done.
Everyone knows about the impact on the community but let's think about the investors.
The company you invested in, shot itself in the thigh and said "tis but a scratch"
This isn't a monty python sketch, you're going to pull your investment out, either cus it's evident that the company is lying or grossly incompetent. Once the folk who are paying attention pull out, the less involved investors will notice the drop and be like "why did this happen" and then see the dumpster fire and pull their money out as well.
The only way to calm the investors was to say: "This is going to be difficult but we can recover in the long run"
This wouldn't have pissed the community off and nijisanji wouldn't have quadrupled the target on their back.

@Swordfish728 I posted this 2 minutes after the video aired. _Nobody_ saw the "Part 2" announcement at the end by the time I posted this.
Also, my point still stands that there's still a lot we still don't know that is yet to be discovered. For example, the MafuMafu leaks turned public opinion on Mikeneko on its head. There is still a very VERY small (like less than 0.1%) chance that the same can still happen here. I'm not suggesting Niji redeems itself. I think that's a closed absolute 0% chance. But there's always the possibility that Doki's "receipts" step too far and make the community step back and go "huh... maybe _both_ parties were a-holes on this one." Again, very VERY small chance, but a chance all the same.

It’s only really sad that many people, myself included, would rather their various Oshi’s graduate than stay at Kurosanji.
If Scarle, Kotoka, Meloco, and Kunai leave this dreadful company, I’ll follow them wherever they go. Staying at his black company is bad for them.
I honestly feel so bad for TTT, they came onto the scene with no fanfare with many people seeing them as evidence of Kurosanji constantly spitting out Livers.
They haven’t even been around for a quarter of a year and their entire branch has seemingly caught fire and is going down.
