Ancient Indian Arts or "Kala" has been mentioned across several ancient Indian texts in the Sanskrit and Pali languages. This series, titled 'Ancient Indian Arts' from EpiphanySutra re-discovers the ancient arts with some fun facts and fascinating stories from mythology associated with them.
This episode is the first of two parts of the Kala of Cooking. We re-discover this ritual craft through the oldest known cookbook in Sanskrit - Paaka-Darpanam by Nala. We also listen to the origin story of this text.
