I came up with this theory that Charles and his species are ancient Satanic spiders who choose permanent forms once they mature, you can also see the drawing of ancient people battling these spiders in the past. Charles was the current one being active today after the mines were caved in, not only waking him up but hatching him out of the egg and has chosen the form of a train due to the rubble surrounding him eversince he came out and once he started growing bigger he became the very threat he was seen today until we killed his ass. Unfortunately after his death came the rise of his children who will soon hatch and find the forms of their own.
7:24 If he comes from the front and you're in reverse,pull the forward lever,you go through him. Aim for his face and shoot short burst cause the weapons overheat very fast. Once he's driven off,you can flip it in reverse again. In the beginning it might be best to just keep going forward cause he can wreck your low armoured train very fast.
You actually CAN use your gun to shoot through your train and damage Charles with no consequences, but the dev probably thought most people would constantly be moving, so never mentioned it or even thought about it. Edit: Oh, at 7:02 Special Edd actually did it. You move at the same speed so it mostly doesn’t matter where Charles is chasing you, with the only big disadvantage is you having to turn the gun around every time you get on it.

Maby to fix the backwards thingy maby 2 player mode where you play the game with 2 players one gun in the front and back so when Charles attacks from the front the 2nd player can shoot
Interesting how Will (DA Games) wasn’t here.. funny at the same time given he’s the only person that (from what I’ve seen) hasn’t overheated the gun at all yet

It is really stressing when you know he can show up anytime when youre out exploring
2:15 when Charles attacks from the front, you can actually shoot through your train and attack him, at least with Bug Spray and the default gun
