Thank you for the Video Boys. This will be my last project in our old house refurb and I will use that as a guide video. Much appreciated. The only thing I havent seen is what did you put on top of the first riser(on the first floor of the house) looks like 40 to 50mm strip or this is just trimmed tread. Thank you for the guide
Lovely job you make it look so easy and I quest it is when you have all the wright tools thanks again for your videos they help me with my treatment watching as many as I can,,,, Woody
It's as though you read my mind, moved house a year ago and the stairs are old and creaky. Would it be best to replace the bad treads first or just clad over them. Thanks for the top video, keep up the good work guys!
Hi lads, really enjoy watching your videos. I've got asked to place some Oak cladding, 2 sets of 14 steps. Quite new to it, so I will give it a try, and your video is incredible helpful. Any idea on what I should quote for this job? 2 sets of steps, bearing in mind it's my first time doing it. Cheers love you lot.
This is a really really good video. Thanks so much. One question for you or anyone out there : when the landing has a floating oak floor what method would you use to bridge between the floating floor and the nosing on the top tread? Would you consider using some CT1 or similar under the floating floor but just locally around the transition or is that a bad idea?
What if the tread nosing is wider than the packing pieces? Do you then have to trim the nosing back to the same dimension as the packing strips or pack out the riser until its the same dimension as the nose? Thanks in advance
Great videos lads, will yous be doing any where the newel goes all the way so you don’t have to clad the 70mm newel or is that not recommended with the kite winders? Cheers 👍
The way it's done in this video is good but it can be completely removed but there is a bit of a process to resupport the kite winder... its a good few hours of extra work but worth it.
Got to admit it i think your a natural on camera, really good teacher.
Great video! Thanks! I don’t normally like stairs… they’re always up to something.

Not to sure what your asking there 🤔🤔
Nice work 👍 where your scriber from when you was marking out the stringers?

fantastic!
Thanks!
good jab
Beaut job that !! 😎😎
Thank you 😊
Excellent video, one question how do you transition to the landing skirting board, do you just carry on the cladding?
Down turn the top trim to terminate it 😊
Ah cool, thanks for advise! Great videos by the way 😀
'step by step' hehe
hello lads .. love the video
just one question .. seen the video of you putting grippers on the oak stairs ...??? did the customer not like it ?
Thanks for the support. This was phils house and it was the plan from the start wanted a oak staircase with runner through the middle. 😊
Great videos lads, will yous be doing any where the newel goes all the way so you don’t have to clad the 70mm newel or is that not recommended with the kite winders? Cheers 👍
The way the winders and newel connect it’s not really doable for us anyhow they tie directly into the newel unlike the straights 😊😊
The way it's done in this video is good but it can be completely removed but there is a bit of a process to resupport the kite winder... its a good few hours of extra work but worth it.
Nice work 👍 where your scriber from when you was marking out the stringers? 22:02
