I watch another couple who always stay in the fancy balcony cabins which I could never afford. So I really appreciate you showing the interior cabin. Your videos are very down to earth and I really enjoy your content.

We want to thank you so much for this series about the Beyond. We just got back from Beyond this week. We had only booked this cruise around Christmas so we didn't have much time to plan. Not only do you guys cruise pretty much like my wife and me but we were even down the same corridor as you were on the Beyond! We cruise a lot on Celebrity, but we were just blown away at how beautiful this new ship is, and of course it's always a treat to have Captain Kate at the helm. Happy sailing!

I can see why you guys love this ship. Amazing! Very impressed, I've never seen onboard a Celebrity Cruise. I can't wait to sail one day. I noticed it looks like the ship has no balconies but the windows actually roll halfway down to create the balcony.
Celebrity is one of our favorite cruise lines! We haven't been on the Beyond yet but it's definitely on our bucketlist. Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see the rest of the vlogs!
Celebrity is fast becoming our favorite cruise line. The music acts in all the bars and lounges are top notch. Love first day aka embarkation day! I like the improvement of switching the cabanas to face the pool. We reserved a cabana on Apex and yes, you got a lovely view of the ocean but also foot traffic right by the cabana and people stopping to sit and hang out in the two chairs by the railing, which were technically part of the cabana rental, so our attendant was constantly telling people not to sit in them. I felt bad for him and also for the people since it wasn't that obvious and a weird setup. No worries about turning in- take care of yourselves and get some rest when you need it!

It looks like another fun and fancy adventure! How good of you to check out parking alternatives! Did the shuttle get you to port early enough? That is our biggest issue with shuttles and parking options: they often get you to port later than we wold like.
I really like they’re very unique decor! It’s quite modern and lovely.

Ah, I saw Beyond when she was here in England for a very short time - she looked stunning, but really comes into her own when on your side of the pond. Great video!

No excuses are necessary. It's your trip and we are happy you are sharing it with us. Nice to see they made some improvement on the closet/storage situation. At least, it seems to be better than what I had at the Edge on a balcony cabin. They do allow us to pay the difference on drinks (Edge experience ). I'm going on the Silhouette soon without the "all included" part. I believe I could do better 😬🙄🙏

The banding on Celebrity ships! Man... I wonder why you haven't encountered this issue with any other cruise line. Strange, that!
On day 1 we always get the attendant to empty the fridge and then we stuff it with unopened bottles from the bar with the drinks package. 😂

Nice to see Celebrity turned the cabanas to face the pool. We went on Apex and having them facing the walkway was just odd. No one actually used them that we could see on our sailing.
Sorry we missed you, we were on when you got off we did 7 day concierge class loved the entertainment and had no problems with the infinit veranda but 2am lights go on blind went up andtv went on I yelled at my husband thought he must have hit something to find out it was the whole ship lol. Also freaky elevator's passing decks going up after it was going up certainly made for fun conversations but one beautiful ship

Yep me too. Just wondering if white side is for during daytime and black is for night but that wouldn’t make any sense either.
Tech talk about the “crazy banding situation”. It’s caused by LED lighting, which pulses at the electric current’s frequency.
If the electricity is at 60Hz, try slowing the video shutter to 1/25sec ( or 1/24th sec “cinema mode”).
My Sony camera has an anti flicker mode that I use for stills. Maybe it works for video as well?

Question regarding using (Park by the ports) how early should we reserve a spot for our next cruise? We really enjoy your videos, they are very helpful and fun, and we have recommended to others to check out your videos.
We usually don’t have issues getting a parking reservation pretty last minute, but they do serve the airport and cruise port. We assume they could “fill up” but they have loads of parking space so it doesn’t seem likely!!

No, she was aboard as a passenger that week, but we never ran into her!!
AH new ship smell...I LOVE to hear what your hotel solutions are, we had a little incident at the Radison in Titusville and will be staying at the Baltimore Best Western sailing in August, hopefully won't need Ron to bring pizza. I am sailing solo out of Tampa in February, I think Days in Airport - Cruise Port? Hotels are my thing because I don't drive, just requested to join a cruising hotel group but it takes time.
Renaissance cruise port Fort Lauderdale, less than 3 miles from Port.
When you have a GTY cabin and it's assigned, you can ask them to move you to a different cabin if you wish. Celebrity will do this but other cruise lines may not...

I’m curious what the crackling in the audio is during parts of the video. Sounds like an autofocus motor, but I don’t usually hear that during your videos.

If you are looking for parking close to the Fort Lauderdale port, try Park’N Go. We have used them for over 10 years, and they are amazing! Super short drive to the ship. Good discount if you pay ahead; easy to get refund if cruise cancels. Need I say more?

Fun to see the new ship. The banding is terrible. I'm not a tech person, so I have no idea if there isn't some kind of "filter" or "setting" that you can use. About the only point where it wasn't down right annoying was looking at Jay's socks! Hopefully it was a great cruise.
The problem is that LED lights flicker very rapidly when they produce light. It’s invisible to the eye. But unfortunately visible to the camera, because the shutter speed of the camera is not synced to the flicker of the lights. There is starting to be better flicker reduction features in some larger higher end cameras now. But nothing in the size that Jay carries at the moment unfortunately as far as I’m aware.
Oh no, it's awful and we can't do a thing about it right now. Hopefully our preferred camera model eventually introduces something to help fight that. The low-level LED lighting is KILLER on video... ergh!! :P ~Jay
@@justinflood My husband was thinking changing the frames per second on the camera speed. Have to be a really good camera. He thinks the LEDs are at about 50 cycles. Depends on generators etc.

Unfortunately park by the ports is only open until 3pm (per their website). Not convenient if you are flying back from a transatlantic cruise.
We'll go on Celebrity eventually. Trying to get Diamond on Royal First.
Yesssss, the status matching is awesome. And they match every time, so as you move up with Royal, you can continue to move up with Celebrity until you hit their Elite level!! :D
I'm researching Celebrity fir my 2nd solo cruise. Did you happen to notice if the solo meetup details were listed in the daily events on the ship?

No, it was super fast on both ends. We’ve used them twice again since these vlogs with great results!! :D

I just read that Captain Kate McCue is the Captain of that ship. 1st American female Captain. Hearing that announcement while you were in the room though tells me it is not. Hmmmmm
She was, but she signed off shortly before our cruise. She was onboard as a passenger the week we sailed though!! :D
All crew, including captains, take vacations.
I’ve started to notice that when vloggers start to do too many cruises they stop doing as much on the ship. Understandable but not as fun as a viewer.
We still try to stay busy and check out as many activities as we can on every ship we sail, but the 14-hour single-day drive to south Florida gets us sometimes!! :P
