Urban Folklore est un groupe d’Ethnic Jazz basé à Rabat et formé en 2019. Le concept du projet tourne autour de la rencontre des musiques folkloriques du monde et des musiques urbaines (funk, rock, jazz, électro…). Pendant sa première année d’existence, le groupe proposait des réarrangements de standards de Jazz mêlés aux rythmes africains, latins, maghrébins ou arabes; cette phase ayant abouti à l’enregistrement du «Live au Pietri’19». Aujourd’hui, Urban Folklore prépare son premier Album constitué en grande partie de compositions originales.
Urban Folklore is an Ethnic Jazz band based in Rabat and formed in 2019. The concept of the project revolves around the meeting of folk music of the world and urban music (funk, rock, jazz, electro...). During its first year of existence, the group proposed rearrangements of Jazz standards mixed with African, Latin, Maghrebian or Arab rhythms; this phase having led to the recording of "Live at Pietri'19". Today, Urban Folklore is preparing its first album made up of original compositions.
