Lyla Likes Honestly that may or may not be true, people are more prone to lying on the internet. And since you’re only in grade eight there’s no way you have a bridge strong enough to sustain the notes correctly. It’s good you’ve taken up singing but there is no way you’re there yet.
3 got the note perfectly but if u watch the full video the strain she puts on her voice is dangerous and makes me feel uncomfortable hearing the build up

I don’t hear her straining it to the point of dangerous. I can hit this note as well and she sounded AWESOME. As long as she isn’t straining her voice all the time and taking care of her vocal cords I’m sure she’ll be fine. It looks like she trains with a coach so I trust they know how to care for her throat and vocals after a hard vocal workout. Your vocal cords are a muscle that needs to be stretched, then rest and care, then stretch again until you reach your final destination. She sounded great and she’s on her way to a very successful career.

i liked 1 because her voice just sounds more mature, yeah she didn’t hit the F6 whistle note, but she belted that F5 really well though! and 5 hit the whistle note the best in my opinion. the other ones sounded a bit pushed like they just hit it but didn’t support it. 2 sounded flat and it was a lower key. 3 was okay but that “run” after the whistle note could have been better, and 4 idek lol, but she tried.

Facts
1. may not have hit the exact note BUT she has the best singing and she was smart to take the song to a key that fit her comfortable range rather than sing in that made to fit for Kesha. I feel like a lot don't realize doing this helps a lot in the quality and comfort of the output. Hers was the most pleasing.
2. I mean she screamed and the note was highly varying. If she trained enough she may hit it though ig.
3. If she keeps scraping her vocal chords like that and forcing a rasp in every line she is going to seriously damage her voice. Did not sound healthy. If she sang with less force she might be pretty good.
4. Didn't watch it completely to be very honest.
5. Singing went pretty normal/good but 1 was better. However her high not was the best one. It was smooth and controlled. Much better than the rest. Impressive!
But ofc the note is hard enough to reach on it's own even if you scream it so they are all impressive and could probably reach it if they keep at it.
However Lisa Cimorelli hit it beautifully in the cover and the livestream. Sounded very healthy and easy. The most impressive one so far.
The song is more than just the high note though. I see it more as Kesha getting herself closure for all the horrible things she had to face by pouring her heart out. The build is beautiful and she gives it the raw emotion it holds which is why the song will always be best for her.
However it may be nice to see Mariah, Ariana, Christina or Camilla attempt it someday.

Number one, three, and five were really amazing. 2 just didn't have the power and 4 was trying too hard. I chose one because she sounded really natural. And three because she sounded really comfortable with hitting all the notes. And five was just amazing. No hate on two and four they just didn't reach my standards. Also, don't hate on me, because of my opinion!

#3 the slide going up to the highest note was very wrong. She made up a note going up that sounded very lazy. The pitch in all was very lazy. You can tell she didn’t practice so much working her way up to the high notes.
Number 3 needs to be careful not to damage her vocal chords-also can we agree Kesha is better is better thank all of these people jus sayin

1. Really amazing! I don't really care if you only did an F5, it was STUNNING. It's better to sing well than to sing high.
2. Sweetie... if you can't hit it, don't. You're just hurting your voice :( Don't try and belt it. Start with singing the D6 very lightly (cause you were in a different key than the original) and work your way to making it louder. High notes don't need to be forced, they just need space! Your voice will THANK you.
3. Pretty good! I can kind of tell you're using your throat and chest a lot... which isn't the healthiest way to sing. You might end up getting nodes. I know you want to belt, but try to find your mix voice :) Also, try and work on stopping the major sliding to the F6.
4. Absolutely fantastic! Your singing was very safe and I could tell you were using your mix! I could see you were singing forward a bit (which is needed for this song).
5. You are also utilizing your mix! Very well done, but I think you may have gone a bit sharp on the F6. And I mean, BARLEY sharp, but you fixed it rather quickly.

Um actually, as a classically trained singer, you’re supposed to use your diaphragm more than your chest. It allows notes to be clearer and it allows them to be held out for longer without sounding pitchy.

an F6 isn't considered whistle register! G6 and higher is. F6 is still falsetto :-)
Maddy Mensour you CAN whistle an F6, it’s all about which technique you use to hit that note. I think some of these girls used HEAD VOICE instead of whistle, and that’s alright (sounds just as great). But falsetto sounds extremely different from those, and while it is technically possible to hit a high f with falsetto, none of the features ladies used it.
Ximinnie even if they used a technique similar to whistle, the note itself isn’t considered a whistle tone
