It's spelled Balz. His real name is Josh Balz (the name is German). He just goes b Balz. When kids found out that it was his last name at graduation, they died laughing because his last name was Balls XD

He is a but of a quiet person, but he loves talking to fans though. I feel like he's one of those people whose quiet when you first meet them, but once you really get to know them they're crazy fun.

Vinny said he "was kicked out of the band for being a fkn weirdo", while Chris himself got in contact with the victims. All praise to MIW for not hesitating on kicking out such a monster and not even trying to protect him as soon as they found out

+Naomi chism - - I agree! I imagined Ricky having a hissy fit and walking off the stage, but the nail in my coffin was Chris and company discussing maybe raping Ricky. I was DOA at that point.
I love this because I love hearing them talk for so long. And I can't get over how adorable they all are. Especially Ryan, what a cutie. Ugh and chris is like a big adorable moose.

I loved this interview. When you get to understand the people behind the music, it brings new depth to their songs. Also, seeing how well spoken and polite these guys are makes me happy. There needs to be more of that in the world and putting that out there helps influence younger people.
I agree with Chris. I want to hang out with Ryan and talk music!

This seriously was worth the hour, 26 minutes and 31 seconds to watch. I actually got to know the guys I love (behind the music), and see them in a whole new light. The interviewer was very articulate in asking the questions too (which is something you don't see a lot, so knowledgeable yet so chill). Great interview! LOVE THEM ALL!!! 😍💖❤️💋🌹💀

This was fantastic!! Love these guys so much. I'm glad I saved this to watch for now because my day was horrible and stressful. I needed something hilarious and positive. I cannot wait to see them for the third and fourth time this summer at Rock on the Range and then with Slipknot.
Also, side note. I wanted to add to what Josh said in the beginning where he said "we're all quiet guys. If you come up and ask for a photo we're like sure". That's accurate. I saw them back in October, and each one of them were like that. At first I thought "I'm annoying them" but they never acted as if I were. When I met Ryan I asked him for a photo and he had to go do something (go to the bathroom, maybe? Idk lol). He told me to wait one minute, while me thinking he wasn't coming back, he pops up and says "ready?". Basically, all I'm trying to say is this. If you meet them and ask for a photo, they may not seem enthused because they're these quiet dudes but they won't turn you down. They're the nicest guys I've been able to meet. I hope to meet them again so I can actually say something of substance this time instead of allowing my anxiety to get in the way.
Just wanting to add (this is an edit, as of 4/26/15): I went to a last minute show to see them on 4/22 and I was able to meet Ryan again. AND GUYS! HE FREAKING RECOGNIZED ME FROM THE LAST TIME I MET THEM! I almost died. Super nice guys. Always always always, if you have a chance to meet anyone from this band please do so. Always so sweet.

chelsey t that's awesome!! I hope you have a wonderful time. They always put on a good show and if you get a chance to meet them you should definitely try. Like I mentioned in my first comment, they're super sweet guys. This will be my fourth time seeing them and I'm just as excited, if not more, than I was the first time.
+shelbie simpson sooooo true! I had seen this interview before going to the summer last tour this summer, and I had the chance to ask Chris and Josh for a picture, and both were SO nice! I can't wait for their headlining tour this fall! I am currently hoping I am not as nervous this time, and can actually say more than "Hi. Can I get a picture?" -_- lol
Ket0528 that's so cool! That's awesome you got a picture. I couldn't find them at Summer Last Stand but I tried. And I completely understand the nervousness. The first couple times I met them I was a wreck. The last time I met anyone from the band, it was the time I met Ryan and he recognized me, I was actually able to have a bit of a conversation with him. They're all great guys! What show are you going to for the Apollo X Tour? I'm going to Cincinnati.

I literally just flew to the Vegas show to see them. So I made sure I was there on time when doors opened and everything. I saw Josh right near the barricade I guess he knew some guy that was there and came over to say hi to him. So that's kind of when I sneaked in the question to get the picture. I waited for a bit hoping that maybe they would come out, and then I figured they wouldn't so as I was walking out near the exit of the venue, I turn back and I spot Chris, so I approached him and asked for the picture. He was so nice. I literally spoke like 6 words to him. "Can I have a picture?" *snaps selfie* "Thanks!" and walk away lol! I was so damn nervous! lol. I am going to the Apollo X Tour, I am going to the show in Pomona, CA. I got the VIP ticket too so I'm trying to prep myself on keeping it cool, and maybe saying more than 6 words this time! :)
I rarely ever listen to MIW and I was like eh I'll watch for a little bit....

I love chris's screams they to me sound so natutural and perfectly imperfect and it gives them such a raw sound i thought he was trained but now i know hes self taught which i find really amazing. Theyre all such amazingly sweet and quiet guys and its so cool to hear all this stuff.

Literally everything Balz said about getting into this type of music is how it has been for me
damn....everything that miw said that lead up to tho they are like the music tastes, chris playing guitar, thats exactly how it was for me. ive seen these guys live countless times over the years, and ive found so much inspiration in them.

im 21 and i got in to this band when i was 18 i regret not getting into it sooner but i love them they are awesome and i respect that Chris is straight edge because i am straight edge as well and my grandmother still thinks that my being dark and creepy is a phase and their are days where i just wanna say screw it im doing this when i get the money i am gonna show everyone how i am inside

I love the Conversation @ MI series! I just wish there were more of my favourite bands. This was a great idea, to sit down with the entire band vs just the lead singer or something. I love the interviewer as well. He's really good and interacting and keeping the guys talking, instead of it being just awkward, and asking a list of never-ending questions.
Out of all the interviews i have watched of MIW this one is the best!! This thing is damn funny!!

One of the things i've always said about this band and why they are so loved and so amazing is their humility people do not realize how far humility can take you like just don't be an asshole and be kind
They were there on March 12 which was my 16th birthday. I really wanted to go, but unfortunately I live in Michigan, not California. That would've been the best birthday present ever to go and listen to them talk.
