The character that she puts into her vocals is just next level. It usually takes listening to her songs many times to even start to hear all the stuff she is doing in there. I can't think of any other singer that is able to pack so many details into a vocal, and do it so subtly and so perfectly placed that you don't even hear it, you just feel it. Then as you listen the song more and more, you start picking up on things you didn't hear before. I've heard this one many times, and I'm still hearing new things in it.
Spot on Rusty. The level of listening sophistication required for a full appreciation is one of the things that worry me about how 'popular' she will be.
@@zombie7857 "popular" is not always on the path of someone born to become "legendary" Only time will tell where she is going to take her gift and how she will use it, but I am confident she is going to do it her way.
@@RustyShacklefordChannel I agree that is true historically, but more recently, 'popular' in the most egregious sense is a requirement for maintaining a label contract. And having such a contract is the only way to get a large enough following to do big concerts, which is the only way to make a proper income. As you say, time will tell. Fingers crossed.
@@zombie7857 take it from a non-sophistcated music listener, I'm musically ignorant and I absolutely love Angelina and really appreciate her total 'sound' without knowing her intricacies. I don't know all the reasons I'm hooked on her sound but know I'm completely addicted. I believe there be no way she won't be 'popular' because she's magic. I've never been like this for anyone else- music never meant much to me in my 66 years.

Haha! I guarantee that you will say ,"This is one of the best" more times than you imagine. Favorites give way to new favorites, sometimes the next song you listen to. I really like Adele, but I prefer Angelina not just here but her other Adele covers as well. She just knows how to bring out more emotion. A Million Years Ago is breathtaking. She does the same with Rihanna and Lana del Ray and Miley Cyrus and...On and on. "I'm speechless "(or I don't know what to say) and "amazing " are common responses. We'll see what happens next time. This was good.

She's 13 here, and this was posted just before her performances on AGTC 2 were taped. She's dressed up like a torch singer from the 40's (stunningly beautiful), and the quality of this recording is a 10. She's using her Neumann microphone (12th Birthday present) that picks up every nuance of her voice; the good and the bad. And her performance is PERFECTION! I don't believe I've ever heard anyone who can cover Adele like Angelina; some times even better than the original. Great reaction Liam. 😊💕

One of the remarkable things about Angelina's huge catalog of covers is just how many of them would have been just as big of a hit if her version has been the original version. The intrigue of her upcoming album is if somebody will just write this girl some hits. Because if they do, there's not a doubt in the world she'll bring the voice and the art and a star will be born.
She is beyond her years. You should check out her cover of "A MILLION YEARS AGO " too. But before you do that, I would suggest you go back to the beginning and start with her Norway's Got Talent videos. Rusty Shackleford has all the links to all her covers. Angelina sings in 3D. This rendition is definitely among her 10 best and is, in my opinion, better than Adele's. Your new setup is very good, but I have a couple of recommendations: Since your laptop/screen is so high, raise the inset video on the left and drop the camera on you a bit. That way it will appear you are viewing the performance, rather than looking above it. And, don't worry about the slight shadow - it is not distracting. If you want to, place a small spotlight on the floor on your left pointed up on the wall.

Angelina has an unheralded ability to zone in on the minute details of the song she covers of each artist, much like a predator falcon knows how to locate all the mice in a wide field of grass. Then when she launches into her interpretation she goes into a circumstance of losing herself in the beauty of the song itself. The lyrics, the music, the artistry and what the listener realizes or doesn't realize is that Angelina has produced a gemstone of her own, as a diamond is produced from carbon.

I'm not a big fan of comparing artists as they often have a personal touch, which is impossible to compare. But what makes Angelina special is how much emotions and soul she puts in every word. You get drawn in because you actually feel she is feeling every emotion. An example of two great singers where Angelina owns the song due to her emotions and soul is "Million Years Ago". IMO, Angelina out Adels Adel. Adel is a great singer, but Angelina brings genuine emotion and soulfulness in every song she covers.
Between two songs belonging by their format, genre and venue to the same category, namely Someone Like You and Young And Beautiful, i consistently tend to prefer the second one, without being able to justify exactly my preference.
It seems to me that Angelina successfully creates with the listener a more intimate bond when she sings Lana Del Rey than Adele, regardless of the subject matter of the song or the melody.
Even though these two singers appeal strongly to her, i would venture to say that Angelina and Lana, more than Adele, are kindred spirits belonging to the same soulful galaxy.
Since my preference is highly personal, i cannot be wrong.

And while most people that attempt to cover her don't succeed, I must say that for me Angelina's covers of Lana are better than the originals. As for your point that Angelina's songs covering Lana are better than the originals, i cannot choose a winner between the two artists since art forms are unique and must be appreciated exclusively.
Angelina's covers are mainly tributes to her idols.
I would say this though: only Angelina knows how to dig deep in me to find my true self and relate to it.
One day, scientists, inspired by Nikola Tesla and others, will prove that musical vocal vibrational frequencies play an essential role in the emotional connection between the singer and the listener.
As soon as Angelina opens her mouth and sings the first verses of almost all her songs, my soul reacts to her rich and grave voice and i would usually shed a tear and be emotionally overwhelmed.
I never cry listening to Adele or Lana, to Diana, Dimash, Aurora, Lara or any other great vocal artists, even though i would be the first in an audience to jump on my feet for a standing ovation.

Angelina does Adele better than Adele. Don't take my word for it, for Adele has basically admitted as
much and I give her credit for her honesty. Angelina sings with more soul and feeling, it's that simple.
If you close your eyes, and don't know about about the video, would you be sure it's actually not Adele singing ?

@@charlesmiller6510 I agree of course, Adele is Adele, but for a moment I wouldn't be sure. Adele's voice is different of course, and more British (London Cockney accent). And most importantly, this gets forgotten, Adele has written amazing songs that broke many records. I would like Angelina to do sth similar, but maybe in a different genre, e.g. one that leans more to Blues and Jazz
