I have been using your baking soda and cornbread mixture for about 4-5 months outside near my garden. For the first couple of months I still saw rats, but now that it’s fall and cooling down with not as much for them to eat in the garden, I have not seen one rat! I put the mixture in a small plastic container with a lid and small hole for them to crawl inside so the rain doesn’t effect it. So far, so good! I haven’t seen a rat in about a month!! Thank you and great advice Jerry!!
I was on another site where a person said, without having to mix your 2 ingredients, he just fills a dish for rodents with soda pop. Yes, it kills, but then it loses it's potency while waiting for the next varmint to drink. I like your method much better! Not nearly as much refilling. It doesn't evaporate and waste ingredients.
Best of luck with it working. If it does not appear to work right away, it means there are more to the colony of critters that need to find the bait and eat it. To rid them from the attic in my Bunny Bungalow it took about three to four weeks.
Thank ya Again 😁 for this amazing information , ive googled what will get rid of ground hogs , of course it was recommended to call pest control , cant afford that these days . I will try yer suggestion , Thank ya 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this instructional video. I was looking for a pet safe solution. I am so thankful for people like you that take time to share knowledge with others.
Good morning, your feed has come up a lot hour ago. But I was on the phone not too much information. I guess but I had picked up on your. Directions for the rodents before with the Cornell and soda. I think I've been mixing it right? I'm still getting a lot of mice. I have been cleaning up a lot of weeds in the backyard that have overgrown where I live now, but I don't know what to do know
At 8:30 in the video, Why doesn't the mixture without the Borax kill cockroaches??? In other words, What does the Borax have in it to kill the cockroaches?
Kills rats, mice, moles, voles, spiders, roaches, ants, squirrels etc. ALSO If interested; please check this episode out I filmed on my other channel with my co host Hayden. Hope you enjoy - th-cam.com/video/W7rl7yNZaEI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_e6e-3RDXuKnSeoX
Thank you for this! I have a huge ground squirrel population problem. I'm curious about how to best utilize this bait in a field or pasture. Maybe I could use something like peanut butter to bind it together and form balls. Thoughts?
Glad it was helpful! I recently had to dispatch a squirrel which created over $500.00 damage on my septic drain field system. I just watched your videos from 2 years ago for doing this method and right away mixed up 10 dishes and set them out around my coops. We just had a fresh snowfall last night and I can see how active they are. I thought I had things under control this past month….nope. This is war. The rats must go. My chickens aren’t laying because of them. Thank you for sharing this method. I’ve tried everything and now I’m giving this a try. Anything that won’t hurt my livestock and dogs I will do. I hate rats. 😖
I’ve got 20 dishes out now. They are everywhere. I will win this battle. Nasty critters they are. Put 10 around the chicken coops last night and today I put 10 more out around the cattle loafing shed, the goose coop and pig barn. The next snow flurry will let me know if it’s working. That’s when I can see their paths of travel clearly. I’ll be keeping this up forever if it works for my farm. 🙏🙏🙏@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319
@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 we don't have hantavirus up where I'm at... but the person next door not harvesting his corn until December and a warmer winter than usual caused a population explosion. @@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 I appreciate Your videos, I have a squirrels problem. Thanks for the valuable information and advice You are providing.
I did'nt purchase them. Discovery Channel bought them for me while they were here filming for two weeks and building my greenhouse for my family. You can see it in an episode of Season 2 Episode 2 HONEY I TORCHED THE HOMESTEAD on Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. The series is called HOMESTEAD RESCUE. We have filmed fiveprojects with them so far.
Thank you for the tips and advice ! I live in a state where hanta virus has killed a few people! The mice are horrible this year ! We absolutely can not keep up! Question for anyone that may know if a cat , dog or chicken eats a rodent that ingested this mix would it bother them?
I know packrats are “rats”, but does this work on them? I too, have property in [coastal/forest] Oregon and I get packrats in our attic. I’ve NEVER caught one in a kill trap and only once in a live trap (mean, nasty bastards 👹 they are) as they seem to not be attracted to the usual rat bait items. Thanks for your informative videos!
Mice & Rats EAT Romex Wire Sheathing, like what is typical UNDER an electrified structure. So...their nasty critters for eating crops, etc., but can cause BIGGER problems. You see, bitten through electric wire insulation will just allow the two-to-four electric wires to touch. After that, anything can happen (ie: spark, fire, power-loss).

Yes it will.
Do you use Borax in your mix? I didn’t hear that in your video but you had it on table
Yes
Hi thanks for this ..
Would you mind explaining the borax aspect ?

He made mention of using it to avoid ant infestation as they may be attracted to the corn bread mix.
How much Borax do you use?
Super informative, much thanks... Going tongive it a shot!
