This debate has been settled a long time ago. The cardio of a grizzly is way better, it just keeps on going, than that of a lion, so is it's strength and size. Tigers (who have an edge over lions in general because of their fighting stance, generally in size too and the fact that they are solitary hunters, taking down gaurs, which are bigger than cape buffalo, by themselves) won't even attack adult Siberian brown bears. On top of that, the fat layer of a grizzly is makes them very robust. Good luck to the lion performing his death bit on the massive neck of a grizzly. A healthy adult male grizzly defeats a healthy male lion any day of the week., trust me.
