Jennifer I have the 225E in black ( my father's engine) and the 225E in gunmetal gray that I got at a train show but the gunmetal 225E steamer has a black cowcatcher\ steamchest. I am still trying to find a gunmetal gray steamchest to go with that engine. Thank You for sharing and I love ❤ the video!!!
@@brycewiborg8095 Check back in a month or so... After I get an adapter car made so this earlier box coupler loco can pull my knuckle coupler cars, I'll get more video.
@@RalphMannielloJr Lionel had some pretty good designers working for them in this time period. They captured the essence of a steam loco quite well, while keeping it in a size that fit the needs, at a cost that kept it viable as a product, and a durability that would keep them alive for decades and decades.
@@johnknippenberg-LandmarkYards Thanks for stopping in. I have an adapter car in the works allowing me to couple this my later period knuckle coupler cars.. I'll be making a full train video at Dave's again, when I have it ready..
Thanks Ed, it is a new one for us... just acquired on Friday. It has the early 'box' couplers, that non of my later cars have. We have an adapter car in the works, and once thats done, I'll arrange a layout visit again and get more videos, with a full train👌👌
