The Love of God Revealed in the Sending of the King

God has provided all that is required for salvation, but the world remains in open opposition and rebellion against his sovereign hand, rejecting Jesus. In Psalm 2, the psalmist writes of God's righteous anger, defining a wise man as one who takes refuge in him and does not run from him. God, in his love, has provided the solution to the human condition of sin and rebellion by sending his Son. On the cross, Jesus accomplished what we could never accomplish ourselves, and “blessed are all who take refuge in him.”
