Holy crap, great video, you pretty much cover everything that could need to be covered. There's a few things I have of note though. 2:01 Yueshan's (Defuse Dash) and Feria's (Defuse Combo) defuses are pretty unique in that they have greater flexibility among those of the same type. I know you bring up the point later for Feria, but with Yueshan's Defuse you have 3 possible moves you can do following one: Dodge with a longer that can be followed into a Martial Skill, Horizontal Input to use Wave Breaker or Vertical Input to use his Defuse Counterattack. 3:35 Matari can also use her Martial Skill repeatedly. 5:23 The Kurumi + Feria Martial Tree also works for Viper now with the recent huge buff to her Aegis-Break Martial Skill. It technically works for all heroes except for Yueshan who loses DPS from trying to use it. Also Divine Thunderfrost (the left of the blue side) is usually used over the right side due to its flexibility between Ice & Thunder and being better at maintaining Honed Status.
Thanks for your notes! Regarding Matari, yes you are right, but I refrained from showing her since I think her kit is so different compared to other characters that it might be confusing to show in an entry-level video. For Viper, yes, I now believe she is the strongest solo character with that build, and maybe just the strongest overall. Unfortunately she was buffed just a few days after this video was released so the Viper info I shared can be mostly disregarded. And you are 100% right about Divine Thunderfrost, that is a mistake that I have in there.
I am not 100% what you mean, but windfall is the best substat in the game. You want your 4 substats to be atk%, dmg to boss%, ice/thunder dmg, and windfall. Windfall increases the value of all other substats on that jade, which is so strong.
Thank you. Just got into Nightmare and Yama's Abyss stage 11 with no co-op and was super confused. I had a general idea of what to do and what to focus on (got lucky with souljades on Viper Ning)
this is so amazing! thank you so much for this hard work!!!! thank you! i play naraka for almost 250 days and this is the first time i read about defuse haha XD yey me but i need to play naraka right now! :D i give you like and a sub because this is amazing!!!!!!! again, thank you :D
I like your videos man, i really needed this😭can you make an updated guide for this one since the potential tree has changed and some stuff too, specially the meta for heroes in showdown mode🙏
Hi. Thanks for the video, it helped a lot! Thought I have a question: is there a way to increase the drop chance of "special items"? I think I've tried killing that froggy fella from Miasma Swirl around 20 times already but didn't get ANY of the two purple souljades it drops. Or maybe I have bad luck?
If you play on a higher difficulty, the chance will be higher to drop the stage specific souljades. If you have any of the souljade gifts you can directly pick the ones you want. But I will usually get the one I want after maybe 15 tries on average, so I think your luck is a little bad
Thank you so much for the guide! It's super useful. Do you have any recommendation how to git gud with defuse? They are hard ;_; At least since I noticed the flash and sparkles during an incoming blue attack, my counters became a more reliable but my defuses are pretty horrible. :(
I am glad you found it useful! For defusing, it will depend what character you play... Since this video, tianhai and tarka have been buffed a lot and now have by far the strongest defuses in the game. If you play Kurumi, Temulch, Viper, or Valda, you will have a very very bad defuse. I plan on making a video later on this season's showdown meta, and I will break down the different defuses in that video!
I have never used controller so I am not sure, but while holding Vertical charge focus press Horizontal or while holding Horizontal charge focus press Vertical.
I already had a showdown trio team I had been playing with for a long time. You can potentially try looking for a team in discord, or just add randoms after a match.
Still can't get a hands on that Successive Ice Blast and Reawakening. Anyways, I get how the defuse works, just can't time it properly 😂😂😂😂 Edit: At 3:07 what do you mean by press V, because that would summon her Yaeger.
Hi yes, 1.0 just means release a focus attack at the earliest possible time. This would be once you charge a focus to the first charge, or a 1.0. The "ding" sound you hear while holding rmb or lmb signifies what level an attack is charged to.
Hi! is there any info on ice and strom: their influence on damage; what value of damage do they do when hit enemy. there r so many questions, but naraka simply dont show basic info
Elemental damage is currently the strongest source of damage in the game. When you have no souljades that buff either, their damage is about the same. However, when you get souljades like successive ice blast or depths blast, these will really boost your ice damage. And souljades like thunderpull + thunder counter will really boost your thunder damage. As of now, thunder seems to be generally stronger than ice.
@@MeIonSoju thanks! i play ice builds, but still testing different combos of souljades and talent tree. but i have nothing to compare to say r they succesfull) may be u can like share ur boss time? i test them all on chasm undertow during farming (not 680 yet). usually time is something about 8min
If you mean the actual character's level, I am not sure. I have like 500xp soul point things so I can max any character instantly, and they changed the xp system since the last time I had to actually level. If you mean souljade level, I would just farm Yama's abyss and continually go higher so you get higher level jades.
I believe in the discord they said Yama's Abyss is also the best way for xp. Just farm an early stage for consistent clears. They drop up to level 600 Jades though so it can become inefficient doing just the early ones.
Yes, both Tianhai and Valda have been the worst characters for a long time. Matari used to be the best in the game but they nerfed her extremely heavily. Also her kit is so complex compared to other characters that it would be better if I did a video completely on her by herself.
Matari is pretty much at the lowest tier right now cause they nerfed Assassin's Lunge and Quick Attack by ~25%, every Wielding Jade she has gotten since has been bad and her base kit has low damage. Even when making use of the new Honed Tyranny potential (to boost her Aegis-Break martial skill) her DPS just reaches the base level of other heroes.
Thanks for making this. I shouldn't need to come to a third party on youtube to find out how a mode functions in a game, but here we are

Can you pls explain the matari build potential? And souljade
@@MeIonSoju and also, about windfall substat ... it only needed until you have max(4) substats ... after that it become useless.

great video, what would the inputs for defuse be on xbox controller?

What? How you defuse my v and h button not working

I use H and V to mean RMB and LMB respectively (Horizontal and Vertical), I just realized that can also be confused for the ult.

how to get windfall? I dont get it help
It's the rarest substat. I have played showdown since it first released and I have never gotten one. I know people who have 10+. It is just very rng.
Oh my friend just got windfall yesterday, he said that he upgraded soul that have 4 stats many times then he got it@@MeIonSoju
Bro get more famous i had to search hours to find a good video
is naraka, matari, and valda bad for showdown, hence you didn't show in the video?
Yes, both Tianhai and Valda have been the worst characters for a long time. Matari used to be the best in the game but they nerfed her extremely heavily. Also her kit is so complex compared to other characters that it would be better if I did a video completely on her by herself.

aight thank you all
Matari ?
She is weak and also extremely complex compared to other characters, and I did not want to over-complicate a beginner-oriented guide.
Hardest hero to play in showdown way to technical even in her aegis break and defuse needs to be in mid air to activate.
