They actually sing live. Dance practices are just that "dance" practice. They often release more of a "dress rehearsal" where they are singing and dancing for Festa Celebrations.
I think they do dance practices so you can clearly see all their moves. In performances so much is going on it’s hard to see everything. Why are they so good and in sinc? Practice, practice. Practice. There are music videos often also. I love all their dancing. My favorites are “Fire” and “Idol”. You would not believe how much content they have. I have been a fan from 2020 “Army” and have only scratched the surface. You may not know it yet but you are in the Army now.
They post dance practices to stay connected with their fans, ARMY. Yes, they sometimes have backup dancers. They're so in sync because they work their asses off! 💜
We love to watch and some would like to learn there great moves. They are spectacular dancers. That's why they practice so much. I love watching.❤❤😊😊😊 yes the backup dancers learn just like they learn a choreographyer teaches them to.
They got that good with many years of practice and many many hours a day of practice. Running on treadmills is how they practiced controlling their breathing while dancing. They love to put out as much content they can because they know army enjoys every chance we get to watch them
They post the practices because they like to share everything they can with ARMY since we all love seeing them do anything.😂 They practice 14-16 hrs a day to get that in synch and will not be happy to put on a show unless it looks perfect. They sometimes have back up dancers during tours to fill up the stage with a big show, but they dance everything themselves. As far as mouthing the words during dance practice, they sometimes do that just to concentrate on getting the choreo right, but they never lip sync when they do shows. They will always sing and dance every song; that’s why they practice so many hours. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Borahae!!!
Most BTS dances that have fast footwork also need to incorporate slower moves so that they can breathe and have steady vocals. After they master the choreo, they incorporate mics and headsets into the practices. Usually for the videos released to fans to enjoy, they just let the track play it for cleaner sound in the studio.
Well, why not post them. We armies can’t get enough of them! I’m speaking as a 62 year old grandma. They are perfect and rare. They never lip sync live. Remember this is only a practice, they don’t have to sing all the time. Some times practice videos are better than mvs because there are no distractions. This video is one my favorite and never get tired of watching it. Armies, since he loves the dancing please send links to their concept videos. I’m not savvy with links. Thank you.
*To answer all of your questions-* they do choreography in their music vids, many fans want to see the full choreo without the cuts, moving cameras, zoom ins etc so they post these most kpop artists do it :) they practice for hours and hours back then up to 16 hours a day, thats how they get that chemistry hard work and passion! they do have backup dancers for songs like fire, not today, etc and sometimes music show awards that require many dancers, but for songs like black swan, fake love, blood sweat and tears, and this one of course no backup dancers are needed! no, all of their preformances are done LIVE while they are dancing, they practiced hard and ran on treadmills while singing to accomplish this. In every performance they have backing tracks while they are performing, but you can always here their raw vocals and the backing tracks never overpower them. In some performances where there is very heavy choreo like run bts live in busan, they will just not sing for some parts and you can tell they aren't singing, but they won't lipsync either they will just dance and start singing again LMAO. I hope this explains it well :) also this is from their debut days so they're way younger here lol this was in their angsty era, if you want flips I SUGGEST "WE ARE BULLETPROOF PT 2 LIVE" this one is amazing, another one from their debut days, actually it was one of their first songs ever! i also suggest MMA 2019 performance, its kindd of lengthy, but epic and its totally freaking worth it!!
I guess we have different ideas of what is fast footwork? 😂 There's a flip in their second-ever MV, "Bulletproof, Pt. 2" (there's also a dance practice video if you want to see the entire choreo) Their dance practice for "Fire" has one iconic dance movement - it has fast footwork as part of it, but what makes it stand out really is that their upper bodies are doing something completely different at the same time Yes, their company has backup dancers on payroll that sometimes work in BTS' choreographies They post dance practice videos because we fans love being able to see the entire choreography - in music videos much of the choreo is edited out to show other scenes so we don't get to see it all; and live performance videos have camera cuts between the whole group and individual members so again, we miss a lot In dance practice videos they don't sing, they are only there to work on their choreo....once that is mastered they'll practice doing the singing and dancing together because that's what they do at concerts and other lives.... They also employ a backtrack during live performances because even at their level of endurance and lung capacity there is no way a human can sing/rap full out AND dance for 4 minutes straight (or a 3 hour concert).... They will sing/rap all their main parts, but the backtrack will be used for the song's background vocals and ad-libs to give BTS a few quick moments to catch a breath They practice singing while running on treadmills, and while pounding their chests, to get their voices to be stable while dancing
Keep in mind most of these guys have no dance background at all. They debuted in 2013 and just celebrated their 10 year Anniversary. They post their practices for their fans. Coming up they got very little airtime because they were not well known, so they found a way to connect with their fans by posting daily vlogs about themselves and the process in making their music etc. including dance practices an so so much more. They put hours among hours practicing daily. All 7 of them lived in a small dorm together in the beginning. They're work ethic is insane. The group is made of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They are literally the biggest group in the world. I think it would be helpful to watch "A Guide to BTS Members" by Taylor Mari on TH-cam to get a better understanding of this group and where they came from. They've worked insanely for the last 10 years while staying connected with their fans. Their live performances are incredible. How they can sing and dance this hard at the same time is just amazing, and they do not lip sync at any of their performances. I hope you can keep delving into them, as you will begin to understand why they are so HUGE and loved by so many around the world and of all age groups. 💜
in general they post the practice because the music videos cut between the choreography and other shots (so you don't see the full thing) and in live performances the camera is moving- a still camera dance practice is the most simple way for us to see the dance! and they only have to hit record while theyre practicing to show it us :)
Also, another reason they have dance practices is you can see the choreography better/clearer. There is a choreographer who has designed the dance. I'm sure they give input when something doesn't feel right. Remember they were trained to be synchronized. In a recent interview, Jimin and Suga mentioned a dance practice would be playing while they were dancing. When the video was stopped they had to be in the same position as the video, even where they were supposed to be looking.
Because the broadcasting cameras don't show every moves. They randomly show an audience or one of member's face while the members're performing. I think that's why Bighit film and upload dance practice videos
Hi Jerry, How are you? I love how you're so excited and full of questions. To answer your question, J-hope and Jimin are the ones who joined with a background in dancing. J-hope being a street dancer and Jimin starting in contemporary dance. The group focuses on their dancing during practices most of the time, but always sing live at their performances. The reason they can sing while dancing so well is because of the singing exercises they did while training and even after their trainee days by singing while running on a treadmill and practicing singing day and night. Just incase you are wondering, in the K-pop world, every person is put through training for a little while before they are formed into a group, then they debut when they are ready. They debuted in 2013 so they had a long time to perfect their craft even more along the years. This song is one of their earlier songs from 2014 which people still gravitate to, including other earlier songs, so don't be afraid to react to those as well. I also recommend 'Not Today' their footwork in that video is good too. If you have any other questions about them, don't hesitate to ask and Army(BTS Fanbase) will be glad to answer. Also, if you react to 'A Guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7' most of your question will be answered. Sorry for the long comment. Can't wait to watch you through this Journey. Welcome to the rabbit hole.💜 Side Note: The color purple and purple hearts are sentimental and have meaning to BTS + Army (Explanation in Guide to BTS video)
Way back in the day, they would perform their songs on music shows with terrible camera work. People wayching it at home couldn't see what was actually going on with the choreography. So they decided to start posting their dance practices online for their fans.
All kpop groups seem to make dance practice videos for their fans. But BTS are known for their performances and synchronicity. You should watch some of their live performances from concerts. They always sing live, they just don’t need to do that for a dance practice video as it’s purely to show the choreography. A great live performance is from the MMA 2019 awards show, it’s a Korean music awards show (Melon Music Show) but BTS’ performance takes up about 30min.
They can flip! But mainly Jimin since he have a background in both contemporary and martial arts. For bts dance with flips, I suggest “we are bulletproof pt. 2,” “N.O,” “Concept Trailer,” etc. which are older clips but still legendary!
No actually live they sing and rap while dancing to the choreography they're trained to do so, they run on treadmills while singing, rapping to get that stamina
Thanks for your reaction to bts..your favorite part and the guy in the middle is jungkook.. He is the youngest of the group..BTS are all talented...💜💜💜
For bigger stage performances they'll have back up dancers that will dance with them but sometimes it's just them. They also sing live whilst dancing which they train for since it's really difficult, you can hear them breathing super hard through the mic sometimes out of breath. I'd recommend checking out their 2018, 2019 and 2020 MMA performances
I guess the reasons why they post their dance practices is because Kpop is all about the overall package of music, visual, dance and many more- basically, dancing is one of the factors. Second, they worked really hard on practicing their dance step to be that in sync, an endless and hours of practice they must put out the whole amazing choreography to be able to do justice on the creativity and perfect dance steps/choreo because sometimes when they perform live, most of their choreo/dancing don't actually caught on the camera if they are on TV shows or music Shows. That's all What I think :)
they record them anyway to go back and watch to check for mistakes, and early on, they werent super popular and couldnt get a lot of exposure through broadcasts on tv and variety shows, so they posted stuff like dance practices and behind the scenes videos to connect with fans better. Like, this year is their 10th anniversary, and they just posted a ton of old dance practices we've never seen, including another version of a practice already posted.... we're all wondering now how many of these videos they have saved hahah😅
They video themselves doing the dance so that they can go back and see mistakes and make improvements. They also do this to see if it's visually pleasing. In behind the scenes videos you will see them record a video, watch the video and do it over and over again, until they are pleased with what they have done. They probably have recorded this dance MANY MANY times until they were satisfied with it. This is the end result. Also when they make a music video it never shows the actual dance in it's entirety and not everyone can go to a concert or a performance. They preformed "Run BTS" for the first time on stage.... But later we got a dance practice video and were able to see it more clearly. But if you watch any of the behind the scenes videos you will see them record stuff several times. It is something most performers do to see how it looks. The reason that all of their movements are all on point is because they can go back and see who is messing up and correct it.
They do have back-up dancers sometimes. If you keep watching the dance practices you will see them. But usually it's just them. There are 7 of them..... So they are the backup. Lol
This MMA 2019 live video shows you bts permorman singing and dancing,[MMA 2019] 방탄소년단(BTS) | Full Live Performance, it's big but it's worth it, in the dance practice they use the recording of the songs
They practice singing while running on the treadmill so they can sing and dance live without running out of breath. Jimin does a lot of flips in the earlier songs.
BTS practice their singing running on treadmills. They practice their dances 12 hrs. a day until they all are synchronized. They post their dance practices bcuz people enjoy them and request for it. And they don’t “mouth” their singing they sing live in concerts. I’ve been to two concerts one in Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles and in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The boys sound better live and they are more handsome in person than in videos. Of the seven of them only three were trained professionally while the rest learned the dances in their studios.
I'm not sure if someone addressed this yet, but they originally filmed their dance practices so they COULD be so in sync. They would watch themselves and Bang PD would pause it and check levels and synchronization. If they were off, they'd have to do it again. And again. And again. And again, until they were practically perfect. Then, they would post the practices for ARMY.
You owe it to yourself so you will feel more informed to watch Taylors Guide to BTS. It will explain alot. They make VERY FEW MISTAKES! They are super athletic and haveEXTREME NATURAL TALENT!! ALL 7!!
Part of why they post practices is so that we can actually see the full thing as it's meant to be enjoyed. Music videos will cut things out for the storytelling, and in concerts, cameraman can NEVER seem to leave the camera alone. They always cut to weird angles or close-ups. Guess they gotta feel like they're earning a paycheck when they literally just need to put the camera down and go eat a sandwich while BTS takes care of the rest.
Often you can observe more details during dance practices because some details can get lost in the full stage production due to things like lighting. It is just a different perspective to enjoy.💜🇺🇲
They post dance practices so we can see all the moves from the front. When they do a performance the camera angles miss a lot of the moves so when they do a practice we can see the dance in detail. Also it is for the camera man to be in the right position and to know when and where they are moving to.
BTS most songs like 90% of song have dance performances that mean that they sing and dance at the same time 😁 I will recommend you to watch (these are song titles) "Dope" "Fire" "butterfly" "DNA" "idol" "black swan" "ON" and last but not the least "we are bulletproof"(since you wanted a back flip 😂) dance practices. Ngl all BTS songs dance choreo are bomb like ALL.
I am not sure what to make of your reactions. You keep wanting flips and fast footwork which is OK for 'professional' dancers who don't have to sing. BTS ALWAYS sing live. For some choreo heavy parts they will sing over a low playback track so they can take a breath! You also have to put their choreo in context of where they perform. They are on stage in stadiums, so they work on group formation and expressive moves that translate the song to the audience. It is about how the TEAM looks. They have no support acts so have to sustain a 3 hour concert themselves, which they wouldn't be able to do if it was all about crazy footwork and Jimin flipping all over the stage. I am glad you are watching BTS as they really are amazing but if they are not fulfilling what you want to see better to find something else that you like.💜
Normally kpop companies post dance practices to use it for future reference for perfomances in case the members forget a step, something like that. I heard that somewhere, dont blame me if Im wrong. They also post it for like "the finished product" for fans. During a live performance they dont lipsync.. I personally dont see a reason for wasting your breath during a dance PRACTICE, just like during a music video. They train their vocals on treadmills and while jumping. Please watch a live perfomance of them
NO BTS DOES NOT LIP SYNC. They are known for their live performances. They always sing live, but they do have backing tracks so they can take breaks and for a fuller sound live. But you can tell the difference between a backing track and their live vocals. Live vocals are always clearly heard and backing tracks are more in the background. Once they have the dance performance perfected, they do live practice runs for the full performance. These guys have incredible work ethic. Here is a live performance at a Korean song festival. This was 1 and a half years after debut. BTS - Danger - KBS Song Festival 2014 w/Eng. subs - th-cam.com/video/7siafAjxJ5U/w-d-xo.html
Practicing 12 hours a day or more that is how they do it they work hard. There live is better. They do have backup dances sometimes, depending on the performance. They always sing live. This is a dance practice, not a singing practice they get the dance down first.
Please watch more dance practices and also if you can make time to learn them by watching documentary with open mindset, we will appreciate it and no matter how long the video is ARMY will watch it thanks. ✓Posting Thier practices gives ARMY many contents to watch in their Bangtan Bomb channel to promote ( dance practices are awesome) aside from choreography they also created behind the scenes content for concerts , award shows and vlogs, that's how they connect to fans . They often do live streaming too after each concerts, and many inside stories are shared too like solo projects and collaborations . ✓They are mixed of rapper producers and singer composers , During live performances they sing and rap with back tracks while doing choreographies, they have back up dancers but mostly in big show case or concerts only ✓BTS is not purely a dance group, they are all 7 they trained to perform while dancing and singing. 3 members are considered main dancers, J hope -street dancer( Dance leader), Jimin-modern dancer ( he can flip), Jungkook-talented dancer (youngest/center)
Why they share dance practices. Dance practices allow an up close view of the full dance. MVs don't usually have all the dance. Some songs don't have an MV but still have a dance. Watching live is awesome but there is so much going on it is hard to take it all in. Plus ARMY loves dance practices. How they are so in sync....HOURS of dedication and practice. Try 12+ hour days of practice in the early years. Wanting it so badly that they were ALL willing to put in the time and effort. Strong mental desire is a must. And then practice practice and more practice.
hello! It would be interesting for you to watch the video, A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7, which focuses on each one individually and will give you an idea of exactly who they are, and the time of work and talent of these guys, which June 13th made 10 years since they debuted, the group is composed of 3 rappers and 4 vocal line and yes they have many dancing performances, and you will see that initially they were cut from the programs because they belonged to a small company, so they created content on youtube to approach the fans what makes them stand out, because they really show themselves as they are, it's worth taking a closer look
yt is glitching and not letting me edit my other comment - they sometimes have background dancers even when its just a 7 performance like this one, usually for award show performances and their concerts, to fill up the stage and make it even more epic. so sometimes you'll see it sometimes you wont!
Good question why BTS post their dance practice. The dance practice is to show case how hard they work, and it shows their foot work. Every details that you don't see in their mvs. All kpop post their dance practices,. In my opinions BTS just got the best moves and best dance practice. I love their foot work !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Live performance of Boy in Luv from their 2019 performance. Link below. There isn't a flip, but some jumping and clever choreo. This is NOT a concert. It's an award show, and this is one of several songs they did that year. You'll hear their live vocals in this. They do let backing tracks take it if the choreo gets too intense or if they have to prep to sing overlapping melodies. But you can hear the difference when they stop singing/rapping into their mics. th-cam.com/video/aTt-oA_dmCM/w-d-xo.html NOTE: - RM is breathing hard because he just got done rapping his a$$ off in a solo performance - They are in "school" outfits because they are revisiting their discography from younger years to what was then present-day works.
They always sing live they never lipsync at all. They always say the live performances are always better cause they are live and so incredible
yes they always sing live while dancing❤❤❤because they always practice so much
They actually sing live. Dance practices are just that "dance" practice. They often release more of a "dress rehearsal" where they are singing and dancing for Festa Celebrations.
Dance practices allow a full view of all of them. The camera(s) move around and focus on parts of the performance during mvs & live performances.
To get such fantastic dance results is because of practice up to 16 hours a day when they were trainees.
I think they do dance practices so you can clearly see all their moves. In performances so much is going on it’s hard to see everything. Why are they so good and in sinc? Practice, practice. They showed because of the bond they have with their army.
They post dance practices to stay connected with their fans, ARMY. Yes, they sometimes have backup dancers. They're so in sync because they work their asses off! 💜
They POST because ARMY LOVES EVERYTHING THEY DO?? ARMY is their FAN BASE!! Incredible group, too. Keep diving down the RABBIT HOLE! It’s DEEEEEP!
They don't lip-sync in concerts. They will have background vocals sometimes, but they always sing and dance. 💜
We love to watch and some would like to learn there great moves. They are spectacular dancers. That's why they practice so much. I love watching.❤❤😊😊😊 yes the backup dancers learn just like they learn a choreographyer teaches them to.

Don't forget Best Of Me. That's a full cardio even without the singing on top. 😵

Fire dance practice!
they record them anyway to go back and watch to check for mistakes, and early on, they werent super popular and couldnt get a lot of exposure through broadcasts on tv and variety shows, so they posted stuff like dance practices and behind the scenes videos to connect with fans better. Like, this year is their 10th anniversary, and they just posted a ton of old dance practices we've never seen, including another version of a practice already posted.... we're all wondering now how many of these videos they have saved hahah😅
Oh wow, they were so down to earth
We are bulletproof PT 2 a flip and a hat trick.
They do have back-up dancers sometimes. If you keep watching the dance practices you will see them. But usually it's just them. There are 7 of them..... So they are the backup. Lol
Jimin is the guy that does flips. He studied modern dance and martial arts.
Hello from Cody Wyoming 😊you're awesome keep it up
I'm not sure if someone addressed this yet, but they originally filmed their dance practices so they COULD be so in sync.
Thanks for the info!
They post dance practices so we can see all the moves from the front. When they do a performance the camera angles miss a lot of the moves so when they do a practice we can see the dance in detail.
Also it is for the camera man to be in the right position and to know when and where they are moving to.
BTS most songs like 90% of song have dance performances that mean that they sing and dance at the same time 😁
I will recommend you to watch (these are song titles) "Dope" "Fire" "butterfly" "DNA" "idol" "black swan" "ON" and last but not the least "we are bulletproof"(since you wanted a back flip 😂) dance practices.
Ngl all BTS songs dance choreo are bomb like ALL.
You don't get to see the full choreo in the MVs, so....Try 'I'm fine' and 'Bulletproof 2' for more footwork.
I am glad you are watching BTS as they really are amazing but if they are not fulfilling what you want to see better to find something else that you like.💜
Thanks for the insight man 🙏🏾
You have to watch a live performance to prove they don't lipsync, they can't even lipsync properly in their mvs lmaooo
Please watch a live perfomance of them
You gotta see we are bulletproof part 2 there I'd a flip and hat trick as well
NO BTS DOES NOT LIP SYNC.
Good to know!
Practicing 12 hours a day or more that is how they do it they work hard. There live is better. They do have backup dances sometimes, depending on the performance. They always sing live. This is a dance practice, not a singing practice they get the dance down first.
Watch their live performance
U should watch Fire by BTS dance practice it got some fire footwork, also we are bulletproof by Bts got the backflips that u like sm🙏
✓They are mixed of rapper producers and singer composers , During live performances they sing and rap with back tracks while doing choreographies, they have back up dancers but mostly in big show case or concerts only
✓BTS is not purely a dance group, they are all 7 they trained to perform while dancing and singing. 3 members are considered main dancers, J hope -street dancer( Dance leader), Jimin-modern dancer ( he can flip), Jungkook-talented dancer (youngest/center)
J-Hope and Jungkook can also flip
I believe I already have, one of my older videos
yt is glitching and not letting me edit my other comment - they sometimes have background dancers even when its just a 7 performance like this one, usually for award show performances and their concerts, to fill up the stage and make it even more epic. so sometimes you'll see it sometimes you wont!
Good question why BTS post their dance practice. The dance practice is to show case how hard they work, and it shows their foot work. Every details that you don't see in their mvs. All kpop post their dance practices,. In my opinions BTS just got the best moves and best dance practice. I love their foot work !👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
they sing live
Live performance of Boy in Luv from their 2019 performance. Link below.
There isn't a flip, but some jumping and clever choreo. This is NOT a concert. It's an award show, and this is one of several songs they did that year.
You'll hear their live vocals in this. They do let backing tracks take it if the choreo gets too intense or if they have to prep to sing overlapping melodies. But you can hear the difference when they stop singing/rapping into their mics.

NOTE:
- RM is breathing hard because he just got done rapping his a$$ off in a solo performance
- They are in "school" outfits because they are revisiting their discography from younger years to what was then present-day works.
they train up to 16 hrs a day
Do you want some flip??? See "we are bulletproof pt2"
I just reacted to few Kpop groups with flips
Look at Blood , Sweat and tears dance practice or AM I wrong practice.
I would suggest that you do some research
Brt
Bet **
Because their freakin awesome! You get so much more special content from the practices. You miss so much on live performances. Just a fun fact.. 👀🤯💜🫣
