So why would 4 be E and not A. Wouldn’t a country with a high dependency ratio need to have a well funded education system to support the young that are dependent and healthcare for the old people?
7:53 QUESTION: I thought “brain drain” was defined as the “large-scale emigration by talented people”? That’s how it’s defined in my APHG book 🤔 Maybe I just haven’t made the connection between why the talented people are moving to another country?? IDK but if you could explain that please it would be so helpful
well this might be late but for example if you were really smart but living in a small village in a rural part of an underdeveloped country, but you had the brains to be like a top tier surgeon, you would not have a high paying job opportunity in that rural place, therefore it would be in your best interest to go to a place where there is a like developed country and there are job/college offferings that are good, for example america.
@@sophiaadebesin4179 it does indeed, causes the already bad economy to get worse in those countries, and with a worse economy, less education opportunities will arise for those other talented children, leaving the country to become worse and worse. However, to the already developed country its just like an extra cookie for desert.

Talented also meaning the the people with a lot of skills, who left the country because they didn't have the opportunities they were looking for.
