Well done and thanks for sharing brother! I don't have one, (yet) But this feature is Great! I didn't know it had this. Amazing, this Processor is so much more than I imagined! Fractal is Lucky to have such a talented and knowledgeable Fan! Be Well Leon!
@ Leon what if I want to tone match a 150 watt style amp meaning capture its ir into axe 3 using iso box or this box. it mentions DO NOT USE ANYTHING OVER 100 WATTS. im curious even at lo volume say 3 tops on 150 watt amp im trying to capture the amps iron and its glass which is 6550 or kt88 the thing I want from the 150 IS the iron itself how can one safely do that. it would be line level to axe 3 anyway and id be using cab and load box as I want the cab and speaker ir also to be captured same time via mic's. I dont need to even have 150 up that loud at all to get that sound but it states on fractal box your using that its for 100 only so im second guessing my quest. perhaps I can tone match from a recording of that and be ok ? maybe thats how I can do it without causing damage..
Awesome Leon. Great tutorial! Which Friedman do you think is the best starting point for the amp match. I have the same DSL 50 and there is nothing like it.
Ahhh I had wondered if those would be cross compatible. Thanks guys, I've never owned an axe FX but find these vids fascinating...I think fm3 was designed with folks like me in mind
So once I tone match my Revv G20 to the uber and get it sounding great. Then What? When I go to export it just saves the tone match as an IR. So anytime I want to use the amp and tone match combo do I need to load the uber and the tone match to get my amp sound? Basically Im curious if I can save the amp model (UBER) plus the ir from the tone match as an amp block all in one. Thanks, hopefully you get what im asking here lol.
You'll need the amp and the tone match IR together. You could use the Axe-Edit blocks library feature to save the amp settings, or save it as a global block for instant recall.
@@johncecilia4517 You've seen videos where they replicated or attempted to replicate the effects. Tone matching is simply matching the static EQ curve, does nothing for gain/distortion, time based or modulation effects. It simply does not work that way.
Awesome video and explanation! Do you have this JM45 captured IR available in your store for purchase? Is it compatible with FM9?
Leon!! I can’t stop watching your videos lol! Thanks for all the great content and inspiration! 🤘🏻
I think this feature can compete with Kemper's capture in fact !!
Love your videos man! Just about to get my axe fx 3, can you use this for tone matching fo an audio of a guitar recording?

Slowly coming around to it hey ;)
@@LeonTodd You can be very persuasive in an admiring way!

BE C45. Turn negative feedback down to 4 and input trim down to 0.5.
Do you think fm3 can do the captures and matching? Great vid as always and that guitar sounds great...nice straightish string over the nut.
I think these questions have been answered on the forum. Unfortunately, the answer was no tone match or IR capture on the FM3.
However you can load tone matches from the Axe-Fx as IR's

Thanks for the video, my 3 should be here Friday :)
WOW ...thats super great .....sound so much a like ......would you mind sharing that patch ?....Cheers mate and Rock On !!!!!
Leon does Axe Fx 2 can do this !??
That was pretty close! Good breakdown. Thanks! Take care :)
Hi Leon! Is possible doing an amp matching without using cab and mic and using only an head amp into axe fx/Di box/load box or other?
Thank you
I actually prefer the amp/load box tone - means you can use it with any IR you like!
If an amp has a line out can you use it to tone match in the axe fx 3? Say go line out from amp to an input to the fractal.
Thanks so much, very helpful videos and great playing and tones :)
My pleasure!

@@LeonTodd awesome, thanks
Leon, is it easy to carry the axe fx3 around?
Extremely easy. We use it for guitar and bass love and it's SO much easier than lugging amps.
I mean when you tone match the whole sound from a record? Effects etc
That's not how tone Matching works. You can tone match a recording of an isolated guitar amp but effects are a different matter.
Ive seen Axe videos where they tone matched everything. Would you get Ax8 or Kemper profile floor pedal?
@@johncecilia4517 You've seen videos where they replicated or attempted to replicate the effects. Tone matching is simply matching the static EQ curve, does nothing for gain/distortion, time based or modulation effects. It simply does not work that way.
How us quality when you do a song? Like effects
