Very informative. See many preparation steps needed to get to finish assembling. Question: did you make the angle/finish guides for the feet? Thank you.
Greg, I just bought your tools and templates, can you do a video on how to use your tools? For your tower does the knife need to be a certain size? Does the knife lock in place? Thank You Fromm California.
Thanks ! For the tower, I have five different knives, and they all fit. Some are thicker and get wedged in, while others are thinner and slide a bit, but it works for most knives. The tools show up in different videos, but it’s true that a little compilation would be helpful for those who haven’t watched all my videos. I'll think about it.
For this particular pot, it’s a personal mix of several different clays. As I mentioned in my "choosing the right clay" video ( th-cam.com/video/OC3BhPejUWU/w-d-xo.html ), the clays available in your area are probably different from mine (clay is a “local” product). Any stoneware clay will work perfectly fine.
Bon jour Greg. Do you do only bonsai pots, or do you make 'bread and butter' items as well?😊 I liked doing ceramics, but I don't have access to a kiln, so it has been on hold for several years. Greetings from Norway.
God morgen. 95% of my production is bonsai pots, but all the techniques I show are applicable to any type of pottery. For firings, try to find a pottery supply dealer, or a pottery club near you, often they offer firings.
This one will remain unglazed. I know that brown clay can be glazed, but I usually use this clay for raw clay pots. For glazed pots, I use a white clay. ☺
I bought 2 shaving blocks. One side has a thin opening and the other a larger opening, for a knife. I don’t have a knife that will fit these blocks. I bought the whole kit and wondered why you didn’t sell a knife that fits. What am I supposed to do return the items? I don’t want to do this but I need. Knife or something. Thank You. 😂😂 😂
Greg, I have a white and gray tower. The white exit slot is visibly thinner than the gray? My Kemper knife fit loosely on the gray block. I ordered a Xeim knife to see how it will fit?
The small combs are designed to hold either small trimming loop tools (for wider teeth) or a wire clay cutter (for finer teeth), as shown in the photos in the shop. The loop tools commonly found in beginner pottery sets work well. For the cutting tower, I have five different potter’s knives; the larger, standard knives that come in most starter sets fit easily. I also have smaller knives from Xiem Tools, which fit just as well.
❤ excellent.tout mes respects a ce travail.bravo

Another great video! Love your slab roller!
Thanks. For years, I made my slabs with a simple rolling pin, having a slab roller changed my life!
Sos un maestro
Que maravillosas herramientas tienes. Gracias por su video.
Superbe, merci pour cette video . Bonne continuation .
Beautiful thank you
That was fascinating to watch. Thank you. Will be giving it a try. Not sure how to do the templates though.
C'est vraiment magnifique ! Vous donnez des cours ?

Great video, thanks for sharing! can you please tell which specific clay did you use in this pot? manufacturer?

Is this specific pot for sale on your website? If so is there a link? Thank you and I enjoy watching your creations. They are very inspiring.
Thank you. No, the pot is not yet for sale on my site. I have not fired it yet.
Oh, I'm sorry I am asking so soon. I find it kind of funny. Anyway, thanks for the video, it was fun.
I am curious, is this going to be an unglazed pot or a colored glaze? I have my assumptions though.

🥰🥰🥰
Where can one find the red tool you use to trim the top? What is it called?

Do you post to GB?
No sorry, I no longer ship to the UK (only to European Union)
I love the tall feet on this one
