Trains at: Leamington Spa, CML, 09/03/16

- A very cold, wet and in many ways disappointing visit to Leamington Spa on the Chiltern Mainline where we really don't see an awful lot of services, this was due to 2 reasons.
The first was due to a complete failure of the signalling system along most of the network and the second was due to flooding on the line between Leamington Spa and Banbury.
We do see a couple of services from Chiltern Railways, Cross Country and a couple of freight services from Freightliner and DB Schenker.
My next film is from Newcastle on the East Coast Mainline.

Great video despite the horrible weather conditions and poor signalling issues. I had the same story when I was in Leamington Spa filming so mine was limited to only 12 minutes. Still though you did your best and that's all that counts here. 😊
+KTV Videos Thanks very much, everything essentially conspired against me that day. the weather was absolutely horrid and trying to drive down to Leamington Spa in the morning was horrendous, a lot of the roads were flooded and the traffic was just a nightmare. But I'm glad that you enjoyed it
+Tornado922 Wow it definitely sounded worse than what I thought it was like. Hopefully if you visit here again you won't have a similar problem. ☺
Brilliant video as always! Shame the conditions weren't Perfect, still some nice Trains. Just recently got a Freightliner Class 66 from Hornby :D

Standard Freighliner Green, i would have preffered the other one but got this one in a sale for 50 quid so in the end went for this one.

I was at Clapham Junction on this day. The automatic announcement set that day by Network Rail was about the flooding, and I was standing there, it the bright sunlight on a bone dry platform wondering what rain was causing it. We had no rain from the 8th till yesterday (the 14th). I felt really bad for Chiltern's passengers, but also the company. £20 bet says 50% of the passengers moaned about the delays blaming the company. It's evident they were trying to get people where they needed to go, good on them
It's amazing how the weather can affect different areas of the country, Chiltern are one of the best companies to try and ensure that passengers get to their respective destinations

Great Video but don't worry when you go to Leamington Spa next time please try to make a longer video if there is no cancellations or delays and I hope it doesn't happen at Newcastle,Edinburgh or even around the country and shame the weather conditions just got worse but I hope the weather gets better soon right Tornado922.
+Babak Khanbashi Thanks very much, the annoying thing was that the day after the weather was completely fine and a lot of the flood water had receded, hopefully everything will be running smoothly when I go to Newcastle and Edinburgh

One thing I don't understand is why do the class 68s always seem to have a class 82 on the back
Is there any specific reason or do chiltern just not have enough 68s?
The weather was a real shame that day but I tried to make the most of it, you'll find a lot of companies have push/pull sets such as Abellio Greater Anglia and back in the day Virgin Trains had loco hauled services
